After having the vehicle inspected by an independent mechanic, we were told the car should never have passed inspection in the condition it was in. We were then faced with approximately $2,600 in repairs almost immediately after purchase. Instead of taking responsibility or working with us to resolve the issue, the owner blamed us and then tried to blame the independent mechanic. There was no accountability, no customer service, and no genuine effort to make things right. Buying a vehicle is a major investment, and customers deserve honesty and transparency. Based on our experience, we did not receive either. If you're shopping for a used vehicle, I recommend having any car from this dealership thoroughly inspected by a trusted mechanic before signing anything. Concerned, I took the car to AutoZone for a free diagnostic scan. The results were shocking -- the car failed in multiple areas, filling two full pages of error codes and mechanical issues. This car never should have passed a state inspection. This tells me that either: * The inspection report I was given was fraudulent, or * Lone Star Motor Company knowingly sold a car in unsafe condition while falsely claiming it was road-ready. I contacted the dealership immediately. Instead of helping or offering a refund, they completely refused to take responsibility -- even though I reported the issue within 24 hours of purchase.
