He special ordered tires for me and told me how much it would be to install them. I got a message that the tires were in and headed off to the shop with my bike. I should have clarified when I would be in with my bike- mistake #1. When I arrived, I was told it was a ten day wait. Fine, that was my mistake. I can wait. Mistake #2 I didn't thoroughly clean my bike before taking it to him. I'm busy. I barely have time to ride let alone detail it with my toothbrush. I did knock the worst of it off and figured it wasn't too bad. Wrong. I apologized for how dirty my bike was from trail riding. He told me "you're right, take it home and clean it." Done. But first I took myself to the big name bike store, bought my new tires and tubes, and proceeded to use YouTube to figure out how to change them myself. Thank you, roger for giving me the motivation and confidence to do it myself. Turns out it was a 20 min job that I was more than capable of. I'm also in the market for a new bike so there's another sale lost. I'll happily go out of my way to avoid this shop. On a side note, I had my toddler with me and unloaded/loaded the bike with one arm. It was not a small feat but doable. Roger never offered to help in any way. (Not that I ever expected him to.) At the big name shop, the clerk offered to carry the tires out to my car for me- totally unnecessary but a kind gesture that spoke volumes.

They offer high quality, weekly dance classes for all ages, including adults, with both tuition and drop-in payment options for adults. I grew up taking classes in jazz, ballet, and tap, and had taken classes as an adult in modern, hip-hop, and contemporary/lyrical. However, when I started taking classes at RDT, I hadn't taken any classes, consistently, for over 10 years. I immediately fell in love with the RDT studio, the welcoming atmosphere, and high quality dance instruction and feedback. The owner and director, Stephanie Kovac, doesn't treat adult dancers as an afterthought; she prepares material, gives real feedback, and treats us like any other dance student... someone who wants to learn and improve. I've become more and more committed to my dance classes since that first class a year-and-a-half ago and now I jokingly say that I'll be there, "whenever the doors are open". Dancing at RDT has brought so much joy to my life through dancing, friendship, and the satisfaction that comes from doing something you love and seeing improvement.

Our typical usage is "daily walkers" for the family, maybe an exercise class or two a week. Cost is $15 and it includes skates while Horizons cost $5. Some of us bought new skates online to avoid wearing used. Once you get over the fact this is an old warehouse and there is no other roller skating rink to go to you become grateful there is somewhere to go to live out your youth . I don't like the metal plates which are part of the flooring as it's not easy to roll over when you travel to and from the rink but the rink itself is fine . It's a decent size to roller skate and it's not overly crowded so it works . Like anything in life it's the perspective and sometimes it's yourself and who you are with that makes or breaks the fun. We had about 10 of us in our party and we had a blast . We went on Thursday night adult night 7-10pm and dj mixed up mostly R&B but told us they would play more 80's when we came back. We plan to go again next month . People skating were smoking and happy .. saw some really good skaters too. This is what I focused on and I'm grateful we have somewhere to go skate among adults every single week is we wanted to. Sadly there are no lockers so plan to bring minimal extras and carry wallet on you. There is a smell of basement or what not but again .. this is only rink we have with adult night so if we focus on the fun we forget the rest ;)
