This place was recommended to me by a friend so we decided to go for brunch. I think their brunch…read moremenu is relatively new and in my opinion, still needs some improvements. I ordered the short rib skillet and I was quite disappointed. There was mostly fat instead of short rib meat; the potatoes were not seasoned well and were undercooked. My friend ordered the French toast and had to send it back because the inside was undercooked and gooey. Our server was very helpful and took immediate action. She resubmitted our orders and both dishes were brought out without waiting too long. Even though my skillet was re-cooked it still was not flavorful or anything to remember. I definitely would not order that again. I love the ambiance and how it is decorated. It was a cute spot for our girls brunch. Large dining area and also they have a small private room for an intimate dinner party. I think I might check out their dinner menu and see what that is like because my friend stated that she only went to their dinner and it was really good.

They took it off the menu recently and when I asked if they could make it for me they said it'd be another $18 for a lobster tail. The host then says they can't make it as the lobster meat was shucked for the rolls. What a stupid decision on management's part taking it off the menu. I saw customers posting rave reviews online. I just walked out on the spot and went to a Mexican restaurant.

This venue is a DREAM. We had our wedding here earlier this year, and everything was perfect from…read morestart to finish! We booked our date maybe 1.5 years in advance and started to meet with the Planterra team maybe 6 months prior. We had roughly 3-4 in person meetings and a couple of scheduled phone calls throughout the process. The planterra team was so organized and thought of everything (we did not hire a planner, and did not feel like we had to at all because the planterra team was so comprehensive!). On the day of, everything went extremely smoothly. The day of coordinator helped us stay on track and made sure we were all where we needed to be while keeping us calm and collected. We had a VIP server that focused on me and the groom (Alejandro--you're the best!!!), which was something I never knew I needed until we experienced it. He completely took care of us, making sure we always had a drink and enough food. The florals were stunning, and we had compliments on the romantic candlelit ambiance all night. The temperature was perfect (we were initially a little worried since we chose a winter wedding date), and the transition from daylight to sunset to starry sky was so beautiful. At the end of the night, the Planterra team packed everything up for us and even helped load our stuff into cars. We were then allowed to pick the rest of the stuff up the next day. Cost-wise, our wedding ended up costing a litttttle bit more than what was orginally in the proposed budget by Planterra (d/t extras such as valet parking, coat check, cake cutting and plating). But honestly, this venue was worth it--our stress levels were low to none because we trusted the Planterra team and we were completely able to enjoy the night!

The trees, fountains, and stone wall give such an earthy feel, and the florals made the room feel enchanting. The wait staff were all very lovely and accommodating, and the bar staff did a wonderful job on the drinks. The plated filet and salmon dinner were delicious and the lamb chop hors d'oeuvre was absolutely divine!

Goodenough (1873-1947), prominent Detroit Attorney, charter member and first president of the Detroit Rotary Club, acquired this building and land surrounding it in 1915, naming it the Longacre House. The earliest portion was erected in 1869 by Palmer Sherman. The twentieth century saw several additions here including the impressive six-foot high stone wall constructed in 1917 along the east property line. In 1969, Goodenough heirs gave this handsome Georgian manor home and five acres of land to the Farmington area to be used as a community center. This facility hosts conferences and club meetings, numerous weddings and receptions, and recreation courses in crafts and the arts. Local citizens are proud of the Longacre House, which is an area landmark." I attended my fiancee's good friend's pellikoduku at the Longacre House. (A pellikoduku is a traditional Indian pre-wedding ceremony for the groom.) This house is located about 25 miles from downtown Detroit. It takes a little over 30 minutes to get to the house from downtown Detroit without any traffic. The house is owned and operated by the City of Farmington Hills. This is a beautiful historic brick home that's been well-maintained, inside and out. The outside is picturesque with finely-manicured lawns and nicely-landscaped grounds. I made sure to get a picture with my fiancee in front of the house where there is a nice brick pathway and colorful plants and flowers. The event took place inside what I believe is the Longacre House's main event space. It looks like a living room (with fireplace) that has been converted and combined with perhaps a back porch or patio area to serve as an open event space. There were five round white tablecloth tables set up with place settings (each table seating 12 people) along with buffet-style catered food and drink. The event space had a drink and dessert station while the salad, entrees, and sides were set up in a separate room nearby. The house was simple with minimal decor - nice chandeliers, curtains, and hardwood floors. There's a small garden and gazebo outside. I believe dinner catering was provided by Longacre House's in-house catering group, Gourmet Express Catering & Event Planning Group based out of South Lyon, Michigan. We had glasses of a fruit drink with slices of strawberry, purple grapes, and Mandarin oranges. Dinner consisted of spinach salad with croutons, an herb rice risotto, asparagus, lasagna, and a potato dish with vegetables cooked-in such as chopped carrots and squash. There was a coffee and dessert station with both regular and decaf coffee plus assorted dessert bites including what looked like brownie squares and baklava. In general, I thought the food was good. I love greens and vegetables so I got seconds on the spinach and asparagus. This was a fairly straightforward event. Aside from dinner, there was a pre-dinner gathering, sort of like a cocktail hour, where people mixed and mingled. After dinner, the actual pellikoduku activities commenced. There was also a mehndi (Indian body art) artist who applied red-orange mehndi "stains" to many of the female guests. Longacre House staff were present, but they were fairly hands-off as the food and drink were self-serve. They mainly made sure the food and drink stations were in order, replenished as needed, and cleared finished dinner plates. They were professionally (formally) dressed, polite, and did a good job throughout the night. If you get a chance to check out other rooms of the house or take a look around outside at the grounds, you should. It's a neat place to explore. There's plenty of parking too which is convenient for guests.

Missy, the event coordinator, did an amazing job; she suggested vendors for us to use, all of which were great, and made sure everything looked perfect on the big day. I had bought some decorations that I wasn't certain would look the best because I was on a budget, but the staff arranged them better than i ever could've done and the wedding was more beautiful than I imagined. The food was also great, especially the salmon! Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I am keeping the write up so that customers understand the pricing for the game cards. -------------- We purchased a game card. I asked the woman working about the options. She told us that for $10, you get a game card for 40 coins, or for $25 you get an unlimited game card. My kids quickly went through the "unlimited" game card. When I questioned this, she said well, it's not actually unlimited, it was 140 coins and typically kids do not use the full card, so it usually is unlimited. This is not okay. You cannot sell something under the guise of being unlimited just because it isn't usually fully used. By definition, that is not unlimited. I would not have paid $25 for 5 minutes of play. The pricing is not listed anywhere in the store or online, so you are forced to believe the employees word. I had no reason to question what she was telling me. At the time of purchase, I asked and then repeated that the $25 card was unlimited, and was told it was. And it most definitely was not. I am incredibly disappointed.
