Thank you for not deleting my review as you've done here previously. I don't think criticizing a so…read morecalled professional is harassment. Or threatening. But you didn't leave my posts up for people to decide. I wish you would have. Since you asked for specifics: 1) as the officiant, my written portion of the ceremony was texted to the bride and groom more than a week before the wedding. Sent to them as soon as they requested them. It was their VOWS which were handed to me just before the ceremony. The vows you and my daughter in law used MY printer to print them off after writing them the day of the wedding. In an attempt to salvage my job as officiant, I sat down with the printed vows and started writing them into my officiant's book. It was then that you told me I had 10!!!! Minutes to get dressed and ready for pictures. I was absolutely shook. It was a total change in plans from the wedding rehearsal the day before where I was told pics would happen afterward. Changes in plans happened over and over the day of the wedding. It threw everyone off. Including the bride telling the grandparents to arrive an hour early and then YOU told them they weren't needed there. No professional pictures were taken of the grandparents and bride and groom because of you. 2) I was there for the whole rehearsal as the wedding happened where I live, on our farm. I guess you forgot that it was two groomsmen and their bridesmaids wives who missed the day before rehearsal (a known challenge) As the coordinator you didn't schedule any time to "rehearse them". So they didn't know where to stand or when to sit down. But you wouldn't know that. Because you were not PRESENT at the actual ceremony. You were somewhere else on our property. And after the ceremony, you approached me and asked "how did it go?" To which I said "NOT Good!" 3) do you remember me noticing the timeline you had in your hands, and asking you why none of the wedding party had a timeline to know what was happening and when? You said "uhhhhhhhhh the bride has one". 4) you stopped speaking to the groom once he expressed incredible frustration with you. You stopped speaking with me once I did the same. 5) I told you that we'd be speaking after the wedding weekend about all of the "misses and mistakes" that had happened to that point. So as not to further stress out the bride and groom. When they asked for a partial refund you refused and immediately said they were "defaming" you. 6) do you remember I paid a wedding flower consultant six weeks prior to the wedding to help me with my job of finishing touches decorating the farm grounds? I didn't know she also did wedding coordinating. She asked me "where is the bridal party walking out? And where are they standing? My response. "I don't know?" Her: "what kind of alter or podium are you using " me "I don't know" she asked five more questions I didn't have answers to. She got more and more concerned which every one of my "i don't knows" stating that for her clients all of these questions would have answers at this stage in the planning. So we went to the pole barn and asked my son, the groom. He didn't know any answers either. When they confronted you, you assured them everything was fine!!When it came time for the wedding weekend we were still in the dark about most things. Even though you kept professing everything was handled. You were totally out of your depth. As stated above you didn't even ensure the vows were to the officiant until an hour before the wedding. 7) do I think you're unprofessional? I certainly do. I asked a wedding planner forum on Facebook how many of them wait until the day before the wedding to figure out the tables and seating arrangements? How many of them curl their hair at the home of the wedding host before the wedding ceremony? How many of them wear such a short dress that they keep tugging at the bottom to pull it down during the entire reception. All FB responses were HORRIFIED and deemed your behavior as so out of bounds one said she stopped breathing when she read table configurations weren't decided on until the day before the wedding. And NONE of them curl their hair an hour before the ceremony. I could go on and on and on. So let's have the yelp audience weigh in. You're not only a terrible wedding planner, most of your response to my review is a lie. I'm warning potential wedding couples of your services. I think your services sucked. Bad. People deserve to know. And I have all the witnesses.

It was exceptional service and everything was well delivered. John was amazing overseeing the event and checking up on us often. Which was greatly appreciated. Barb was spot on for coordinating the ceremony and helped me when my bridemaids were struggling with my bustle. Valerie was great with answering every question that I could think of to ask. Since pandemic wedding is insanely stressful and sometimes you need someone to bounce ideas off of to make sure your making the right decisions in terms of how the wedding will go. I definitely had a blast. The ceremony was beautiful. Country lane flowers pairs really well with crystal gardens since Edward knows the venue quite well. The celebrity ballroom is beautiful it is well spaced for about 100 people and it has a nice bar inside of it and bathrooms. Blue uplighting and personalized decor seem to be nice touches that you could make to it. I also loved the gold chairs in here. They served nice plated appetizers. We upgraded the bar highly recommend that. We got champagne for toasts which was yummy. I was able to request my favorite wine. The dinner we chose prime rib, herb chicken and vegetarian lasagna plated. It was so good. We got green beans and roasted red potatoes with it. We also got their standard cake they served with their packages that was good I liked it served with the dessert shooters those were a hit. The entree also included salad that was good too. We had pizza served as a late night snack that was delicious as well. If people had issues with their food it was addressed right away and replacements were made. I was impressed with that. I liked that they moved extra tables for their outdoor patio so people could sit out there instead of all inside too. I bought to go containers that I gave to the bar to use for those that did not feel comfortable eating there. So that's another good idea to consider. Music was great and paired nicely with mobile rhythm entertainment for the reception. Everything was wonderful and happy Crystal gardens was able to make my dream wedding a reality.

I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about them…read more We found them after a long search to cater our wedding in June 24. They jumped to accommodate our brunch catering request, and did so flawlessly. The guests were extremely impressed with their ability to serve and maintain breakfast foods buffet style, and raved about the options and taste of all the food. I would highly recommend them for anything you need. Despite being a little pricy, it was well worth the expense.

The servers did a great job helping set up everything, but this event left all the guests hungry. They actually went home and ordered pizza. I am still trying to untangle what the heck cost $4,656.13 for 25 guests. We did have flowers and tables clothes but my goodness. First time I used them they did sandwiches which were full sandwiches, I had no reason to believe that this was going to cost more money and that a cocktail sandwich for lunch did not mean a full sandwich but the finest of sandwiches I have ever seen. They were also supposed to have brie on one of the sandwichs and it had absolutely no Brie! There food signs were bigger than the sandwiches. I will never ever hire them again. Buyer beware with this group. I see all of these posts that say they did a great job and I am wondering, did they run out of time for our event - what the heck happened? Just don't do it. I was beyond disappointed.

Well, because our congregation had a small list of approved caterers, and my daughter wanted one thing for the big celebration: a chocolate fountain. As luck would have it, The Moveable Feast has a chocolate fountain front and center on its website, so they were the obvious choice. The only other thing the Bat Mitzvah Girl wanted was bagels and cream cheese, which is her favorite food and pretty much impossible to mess up. Especially when the caterer agrees to source the bagels from Zingerman's Bakehouse. But one needs more for a luncheon than just bagels, cream cheese, and a chocolate fountain. That is where Misty Rose entered the picture. She got what we were going for and helped to round out the rest of the menu. I was told we had to get the whitefish as it was a signature dish of the company, and that was a great call. The pastrami spiced smoked salmon was tasty too. Having grilled vegetables was a fantastic idea as well. If I were to have TMF cater another event I might skip the red pepper hummus, the beet and quinoa salad, and the frittata. I make all of these things at home on the regular, and not to brag, but mine are better. However, those each served a role in the buffet, which on the whole was well received. Where The Moveable Feast shined brightest was its staff. They were extraordinary! Misty for both her flexibility and her patience in dealing with a father who was planning an event at the earliest stages of Omicron. Misty also directed me to A1 Rentals and helped to come up with several floor plans to make a 20' x 40' tent feel like a celebratory space. Plus the event staff were simply heroic, setting up the tent while I was at the ceremony and having everything ready by the time our guests arrived. Everyone who braved traveling to Michigan in December amidst a growing pandemic had a great time. The bartender roaming around pushing mimosas certainly helped. As did the tent heaters, which TMF helped to get back online when one wasn't working. They called up the rental company and made sure A1 brought over a new one. Plus the TMF crew even helped to spread out some straw when the lawn got sloppy thanks to the unexpected ice storm. If you've read down this far, you might be asking yourself, "So why only four stars?" Well, if you recall, the critical components of this event were a chocolate fountain, bagels, and cream cheese. The chocolate fountain was everything the guest of honor had hoped for... and maybe more. But somehow, the caterer forgot to bring the cream cheese. And a bagel without cream cheese is like a hug without the squeeze. I know that's not actually how the line goes. Still... it's close. My personal belief is that a business is best defined by what happens when something goes wrong. In this case, their first offer was to simply not charge me for the food they didn't bring. That was not terribly satisfying. Ultimately, the resolution was a sum that was roughly equivalent to the mimosas which helped make our adult guests happy despite the omission. I appreciated the gesture, but would have preferred an outcome that did not feel as transactional. You know, like a tray of sweets, or an "I'm sorry" cake. I know I'm weird about this, but money feels kinda dirty. Although at some point it's best to just take the offer and move on. Which is exactly what I did. Would I work with The Moveable Feast again? Absolutely! Would I recommend them to anyone who asks? You bet. Would they work with me again? I certainly hope so. We had a tremendous amount of leftovers, which included a few pounds of smoked salmon and multiple pints of whitefish. We were even able to salvage some of the ambrosial nectar from the chocolate fountain. More importantly, thanks to TMF we were able to pull off a successful event in the face of some abysmal conditions. I mean... on top of everything a last minute ice storm? And despite being down a person, they did it all with a smile. Bravo!
