I had such an amazing experience with Show Memories. They turned all of my old home movies into a USB in just 24 hours, which honestly blew me away. Being able to watch hours of footage of my parents and myself as a little girl again is something I'll always be grateful for. One of my tapes was actually damaged, and instead of just telling me it couldn't be done, the owner went out of his way to have someone else repair it. Even with that extra step, everything was still ready within 24 hours, and he didn't charge me anything extra for it. That level of care and honesty is rare. The owner is incredibly kind, and the whole place has such a warm, welcoming feel. There's even a sweet dog that greets you when you walk in, which just adds to how friendly and comfortable the environment is. Their pricing is very reasonable, especially for the quality and turnaround time you get. I truly can't recommend Show Memories enough. I'll absolutely continue sending people their way if they're looking to restore and preserve their old home videos. read more

Over the past few weeks, I was working with Show Memories to convert 77 of my old VHS Tapes to Digital. I went to see John, the Manager, to discuss all my concerns. He and his son were very reassuring that, based on their 40 years of experience, they'd be able to handle the conversion in any media format I need, including flash drives or transmissions. In addition to a "very good" price, including the fact that I didn't have to pay for shipping to and from a more expensive processor, I gave John one of the tapes as a trial to test a capability where they upload the digital version to a Google Drive, where I can simply move it to my drive (or computer) for access. All I can say is WOW! It worked perfectly and dramatically sped up the entire process for distribution of those precious memories to my entire family. I immediately brought in the rest of the tapes, where Show Memories numbered each VHS tape to link it to a Google version, and 2 days later, they were all available for my use on Google Drive! When they were done, I made payment and picked up my original VHS tapes. I then sent the Google Drive link to my Grandson in Florida, who is editing out blank spots and timestamping the various segments. The other great feature is that once it's on Google, I can easily view these memories on my smart TV, either directly or by connecting my laptop. To say I pleased is an understatement. The quality, cost, and speed of conversion were simply amazing! Based on my experience and results, I would highly recommend Show Memories as a preferred servicer. Thank You, Show Memories for a great experience! read more

See all

We took my Grandparents old family movies in to be saved to usb for all the cousins. We dropped them off on Saturday and they were ready by Monday! I asked to see the quality and the owner was happy to show me some of the film. I appreciated the opportunity to see what was saved. He was very accommodating and I appreciated that. read more

John is lovely man who provides great customer service. I haven't heard or watched a video of my Dad in 30 years. He died when I was very young. He had a very quick turn around time and the prices can't be beat. read more

I took 5 VHS tapes in to be converted to USB. I asked if I would be charged the same amount even if there was only a small amount on the DVDs and he told me that no matter what, the charge is $12 each. I was given a receipt showing I would be charged $65.25. When I went in to pick up, he charged me $94!! He said that one of the tapes was broken and another had "too much on it, more than 2 hours recorded". I told him that I specifically asked and he said "well, would you just want me to stop transferring it and stop at 2 hours?" I specifically asked about this and he outright lied!! He is scamming people and overcharging! Disgusting! read more

John was easy to work with and my order was done quickly and expertly. I recommend him and if the opportunity comes up again, will return to his shop. read more

This expert made my day!!! Thank you so much!!!! Barb habberfield read more

They are awesome to work with to get mini DV tapes converted into a flash drive so we can watch the content on them. Very professional and they were able to complete their services within 24 hours. Highly recommend that you reach out to them to convert old hardware technology into viewable technology that will last a lifetime. read more

Amazing work!! A definite recommendation!!! The gentleman working the front desk was extremely helpful.

I will start out by saying I wish I had read the reviews before going to this business and I will never take my business there again ! I was greeted by a sarcastic, rude, impatient owner, who has NO customer service skills ! He should consider hiring someone to run his counter, someone with manners. He advertises $0.08/foot, on his website, and also on the paperwork he gives you when he takes your films from you. I left 400 feet of old films, 5 individual reels. He charged me for 400 feet and instead of $0.08/foot, he charged me $0.10/foot, plus a flat $10 (for the DVDs???). When I complained, he said very nastily that he was going to be raising his rate to $0.20/foot. He also said that there are other places down the road that offer the same service...and added, but they charge $0.25/foot. He threw $5.00 on the counter and walked away. No new sales receipt was written up for this CASH ONLY business!! All he writes on the slips is your first name, no other record that you were even there. I am thinking of reporting him to the BBB for his deceptive business practices. Stay away!! I would give zero stars if I could. read more

Cudo's to the owner doing his thing and enjoying his life. Loved the plants even more loved the dog, Ellie!!! Great job done. Thank you, and I will be back and loved the nostalgia!!! read more

People honestly need to stop giving this guy money !!! He is incredibly, incredibly rude and disrespectful!!! He made fun of an older gentleman in the store who came in after me. The man told him he had an accident and it took him a while to get his words out. The owner was so brutal , I walked out and consoled the older gentleman outside the store. He for whatever reason is very nasty. He is degrading to women, mean to the elderly . He doesn't accept anything but cash he said because people are thieves. He doesn't take phone calls or answer emails. The only way to find out this guy is a total &#!# is by going into the store and finding out the hard way Please go else where and put him out of business ! read more

If you want quality transfers, quick turn around time and reasonable pricing, go here. I highly recommend this service. Yes, the gentleman is unique. So what. Personally I prefer a different experience. If you want the cookie cutter customer service you receive at the mall, go somewhere else. I had wonderful exchanges with the owner. He was nice, funny (dry humor) and helped me sort out my project. He has a sweet dog who brought me his treat bag to give him one and lovely plants all around. If you want a unique experience with quality work, go here. read more

Excellent experience - and loved the vibe. If you need videos transferred (not edited, enhanced etc) this is absolutely a great choice! I did not want to risk mailing tapes away to some service. John and his friendly doggy greeter saved some of my family's forgotten memories abandoned on VHS in the basement. Everything was ready the next day on USB. I will be back with more videos soon! read more

Too much negativity in the world .Once again ,Thanks John .By the way people introduce yourself to him ,he does have a name . read more

I called this business to ask some questions about the process of converting VHS tapes to DVD's. The man sounded real nice, told me to come on in. Told me I could stop in any time. I walked into the shop, and there was no one present, so I stood there for a few minutes. The guy comes out like a hurricane, spoke loud, and curt. I started to ask him a few questions, when he grabbed my bag out of my hands and dumped my tapes on his counter. He yelled out how much it would be for all of the tapes. I tried to explain that the tapes are not full, and he laughed at me and asked if I thought I should get a special price. He was yelling, and pointing, and hitting his hand on the price list on the desk. He kept repeating, louder and louder $10 each, talking over me and would not let me talk. I told him he was not being very nice. He walked out on me. Then ran back in and told me when I was done playing with my tapes he would be back. I said, I don't need to be treated like this and I walked out. He has no customer service skills, and does not deserve to have a business. Does the town of Williamsville want him representing their community? I will never return to that business, and I will not recommend him to anyone. Unfortunately, that has a snowball effect on other local businesses, as I would have gone to a few other businesses that day-rather then fleeing Williamsville! read more

This guy is the most rude jerk I've ever dealt with in a place of business. He doesn't have any people skills and could care less if he gets your business. When I picked up my DVD's I asked him a question and his response was "DUH"!! Don't know how he expects to stay in business. read more

I called this place to simply inquire about prices and what they would convert. He was extremely rude on the phone, making it sound like I was wasting his time, and said I had to come in for business that he won't answer questions over the phone. What? Why have a phone then, dude? Or a business for that matter? I come to find out a friend went there last weekend, and he told her she had too many questions and ASKED HER TO LEAVE and take her business elsewhere! Okay! Gladly. You will not talk to me, or anyone I know with such disrespect then ask us to pay you for your services. This man has been in the business for a long time, I get it, but that doesn't mean everyone interested in his services knows as much as he does, therefore, deserves to be treated like they are stupid, or wasting his time. Tips to others: I bought an ION VHS to DVD/mp4 converter off Amazon for $100. Works like a charm, and I am converting my own, and my families. I would advise doing the same. read more

Unbeatable Prices. Consistent service. This guy knows what he's doing. Although he may be sarcastic, the owner is a honest and hardworking man. The atmosphere of the place is like something out of the 1960's. His dog was also very nice to me. read more

7-22-20 Worst experience I have ever had trying to do business. Went to this business today to get a VCR Tape copied onto DVD. I asked a few questions and the owner went crazy , became so rude I took my tape back and left. The owner definitely has a bad attitude and does not deserve to get any business. There are many other places that do the same work and treat customers well. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY! His son said to not take it personally because that is just the way he is. Extremely rude, poor customer service and cannot get a hold of him on the phone. He said "so you were the one who wasted my time...." All this after I gave him $500 to convert mini DV tapes and old reel film. He also cannot copy video to USB because he doesn't want to, even though he uses a computer to copy all the video. read more

I'm sure they do a fine job of video conversion, but I'll never know as I was greeted with impatience and sarcasm. My simple question asking if we could just pop in one of my tapes to see if it hadn't deteriorated beyond recovery was scoffed at. "Oh sure, I'll just make some popcorn and sit back..." I will gladly pay more to get my videos converted elsewhere. read more

Went in 3 days before Xmas eve to have 12 tapes converted. I picked them up 2 days later. The gentleman told me he was up to his ears in videos but he made sure everyone's was ready on time. He said he had a lady come in on a Friday with 100 tapes in shambles and she wanted them done by Monday?! He said he was staying up all night to get them done asap for her, on top of converting the 100s of other tapes for his other customers. We couldn't be happier with the turn time and turn out of the tapes converted to dvds. At $9 a tape you cannot beat the price and dedication this man has to his business.v read more

This guy deserves no ones business!! I was looking to convert my moms home videos of her kids to DVD for Christmas and this place was the first that popped up. I had no idea how this worked so I walked in to ask a few questions. I got a sentence and a half in asking if he edits them and he was like "oh yeah, I pull up and chair and bowl of popcorn and sit there and watch your home videos" and walked downstairs. I stood there for a few minutes to see if he was going to come back and finish the conversation and never did. I walked right out!! I wouldn't give this man a dollar to do anything for me. read more

I took a lot of vhs tapes and cassette tapes to this business, and have never been more pleased with the results. Please don't let 2 negative reviews make your decision about this business. Read the website, and go prepared with what you want. If you don't understand the instructions - listen to him again! He's also running a business, not waiting for you to ask what can be answered by using common sense. read more

I will never take my business here again!! I was greeted by an impatient, rude owner, who has NO customer service! He needs to stay back in his dark dungeon and hire someone with manners. I will be reporting him to the BBB for his business practices too. He advertises 8 cents a foot and free dvd copies. I took 700 feet, he charged me for 800 feet and instead of 8 cents a foot, he charged me 10 cents a foot plus $10 for the DVDs!!! Very deceptive and rude, rude man!!!! Only give one star cause I had to! read more

I have never been so offended in 15 seconds flat and it takes a lot for me to feel offended. I walked right out. Shame on this guy. I thought maybe he was having a bad day but I see everyone else had the same experience if you look at the yellow pages reviews as there are quite a few more there. I would never trust my precious film to such a rude, unprofessional jerk. I don't care if he does do good work. Customer service and just plain common courtesy is important to people. He lost several hundred dollars of work from me that I am happy to take elsewhere. I wish I would've looked at the reviews before driving so far out of my way to go there. By the way, this is the first time I have ever felt compelled to leave a poor review for a business. I hope this helps someone else from making the same mistake. read more
