I finally decided to do it with Doctor Weng and I was pretty nervous about it. And everything turned out to be amazingly comfortable! Before the surgery, Doctor Weng had a review session with me and assured me that this will be an easy procedure and answered all of my questions. On the surgery day, I received some numbing rubs first from a very nice nurse so that when Doctor Weng gave me the local anesthesia shots, I almost felt nothing! After that, Doctor Weng pulled out the teeth on the top in a flash (maybe 1 sec only). Then he started to work on the lower one, which is more tricky as it is a bit tilted. I could feel pressure but it was not that uncomfortable. I can feel Doctor Weng was very skilled at this process and was doing everything very professionally and precisely. My jaw felt tired after a while and the nice nurse gave me a lot massage (no extra charge!). After 20-30 mins, that teeth was out too! Doctor Weng quickly stitched up and I was ready to leave! When I met my husband at the parking lot, he was surprised how fast it was. After the surgery, it was not that panful at all. I took maybe 2 pain killer on the first day and the second day, I did not need to take that any more. Doctor Weng also texted me to make sure if everything is okay. It was so minimally uncomfortable that I could just work the second day. On the revisit appointment, Doctor Weng told me everything is healing very nicely. I am so happy about this process. Now I wish I had two more teeth to pull (just kidding!!!)

I came in for a dental cleaning and understood that X‑rays are standard for new patients. What I did not expect was the volume and pace of imaging performed: panoramic images, multiple sets of X‑rays, and then intraoral photos using metal devices that were splitting my lips and causing significant discomfort. The appointment began well. The front office staff was kind, and the technician who was taking the photos was polite and professional. The issue arose when she called in another technician to assist with holding the metal devices in place. This second technician was dismissive from the moment she entered. During the third set of images, she told me to open my mouth wider. I explained that I physically could not because the metal pieces were already splitting my lips. Her response was, "Afterwards I'll get some petroleum." This did nothing to address the discomfort I was actively experiencing. I stated that I was stressed and did not want to continue with the imaging. The primary photo technician responded appropriately and said she could see what could be done to move forward without the last set of photos. At that point, I was willing to continue with the cleaning and exam. However, the second technician then asked, "Can I ask you what's so stressful about all this?" Her tone made it clear she had already decided I was being unreasonable. I explained that from the moment I arrived, I had been taken from machine to machine, X‑rays to photos, nonstop, and it was overwhelming. She continued to look at me as though my explanation was not legitimate. I asked her, "Does that make sense?" and she responded, "No, that doesn't make sense." Her dismissiveness and refusal to acknowledge my discomfort made it impossible for me to stay. If she had not behaved that way, I likely would have completed the appointment. The first technician was professional and willing to work with me. The second technician was rude, dismissive, and made me feel interrogated rather than cared for. I also noticed that the television screen in the room displayed a message stating that patients who feel stressed may request a sedative. I have never needed sedation for a dental exam, and I did not expect to need it today. However, I found it notable that the practice encourages patients to communicate stress, yet when I did so, the technician responded dismissively and stated that my explanation "did not make sense." This contradiction contributed to my decision to leave the appointment. I also noticed on your website that multiple family members appear to work at the practice. I do not know whether the technician in question is a family member, but I am including this observation because, in my experience, family‑run businesses sometimes have less internal oversight. Whether she is family or not, her behavior was unacceptable. I left the appointment because of her conduct. You may have a large and stable patient base, and my experience may not affect your operations in any significant way. Front desk was friendly, the dental office/equipment looked modern, and the dentists were efficient. Each procedure was explained and front desk helped with scheduling and often notifying for upcoming appointments. So the reason why I stopped going... I had a filling redone due to it coming off. However, I had pain around the same tooth for months. I couldn't eat on that side at all. I went back in for checkups to see if they can figure out what's going on. The head dentist told me to consider getting a crown since there seems to be a cracking on the tooth. They offered to cover the costs however I thought it was a bit extreme to get a crown from a routine filling. Over the next couple months, I would go back multiple times since the pain didn't go away. This included shaving part of the filling, redoing the filling, and trying to figure out my bite. And the final time I went there for a checkup, I was just told it could just be a neurological thing and almost made it sound like it was my fault and they can't do anything about it. The only reason why I kept going back was to give them the opportunity to fix what they had messed up. I ended up looking for another dentist and I told them my issue. They were able to figure what was wrong, and redid my filling. Now I have no pain.

This office is very well organized and professional. Especially during the Covid. They are taking every precaution and safety measure. I feel like it's TOO SAFE haha. But these are the things that make this office so great. 1. The level of ability and skill of the doctors that practice here. I dated a dentist from UCSF back in the day so I'm familiar with how their education and boards go. I'm sad Dr Jun is no longer practicing because he was so good at dentistry. He created a 9 unit bridge on my top row (teeth got knocked out from a fight when I was 18) and it's still perfect and strong to this day. 23 years. Most bridges only last 15 years max. But I've taken good care of it. So thankful for him doing this for me. Dr Jean is just as good and knowledgeable when it comes to dentistry. I've been seeing her since she took over the practice and I've had nothing but good sessions with her. She is very polite, patient, has a sense of humor and just very skilled at what she does. All my cleanings and fillings and overall care has been excellent. I hope she doesn't retire for a long time! I have seen my share of their assistants over the years but the ones they have now are super legit. They are professional and polite and work very well with Dr Jean. They have total chemistry. I currently live in South Orange County but I keep coming back here and commute because of Dr Jean and this office. 2. Technology they have. You have to sit in the chair to really grasp and appreciate how far dental technology has come over the years. The big screen TV's, the X-Rays and way they are done, camera pens, cleaning tools, etc...and they installed a vacuum (it's sits close to your mouth) to suck out the unseen bacterial air that comes out of your mouth and shoots it into a pipe that ejects it all to the roof outside. Like for real!? Amazing. 3. Billing. Dental work is so expensive it can be very hard with no insurance. There were periods in the past when I didn't have insurance and they were very fair with their prices when I had to pay cash out of pocket. This is a superb dental office. I highly recommend it!
