We had an absolutely AMAZING, unforgettable time with our guide, Drew!!! Among our experiences in Maui, our time with Drew is at the top of the list. Drew personally represents EVERYTHING anyone could ever want in a chaperone into uncharted waters. (No pun intended. ) He's kind, comical, experienced, thoughtful, self-deprecating, skilled, charismatic, competent, sincere, observant, compassionate, reassuring, uplifting, fun, approachable....our list could go on & on. Drew guided our family of first-time SNUBA divers every step of the way; from learning how to breathe underwater to playing on the ocean's floor together, Drew chaperoned us in seeing many wonders, including an eel, turtles, gorgeous coral and eye-popping tropical fish of course. As soon as our tour was over, my family wanted to go all over again. By the time we were bidding Drew goodbye, we felt so bonded with him, after such an unforgettable experience, that we've encouraged him to come visit us when/if he ever finds himself in Oregon. We hope he does! Thank you again Drew. We can't wait to join you in the water again sometime!

Snuba with Brian was awesome! Brian paid special attention to our son and ensured he had a great experience. The photos he shared of the dive were an unexpected bonus, and the Kaanapali location was perfect - lots of reef life and a couple of turtles.

My family and I had an amazing experience! My husband and I did Snuba once before but our kids never had. They are 10, 11 and 13 and had the most amazing time. The instructors were incredibly funny, thorough and fun to have guide us. They led us to lots of coral reef life and a huge turtle. This was the highlight of our trip and I highly recommend. I believe they said kids 6 and up can do this. You can go down as far as you want, which is about 20 feet, or stay closer to the top. It's perfect for everyone! And they take pics and are able to download right after to your phone. A huge bonus!

5+ stars for this experience! Brian, Drew & Makeena did an amazing job with our group of 8. They were very professional and at the same time let group have fun. Our group ranged in age from 65-10yrs.. the 10 year old had the time of his life. 100% recommend this and would do it again!

Drew was Rad! It was just me (Alex) and him the whole time, so we went really far and saw tons of neat things! I felt completely comfortable the whole time, and Drew kept it exciting! Can't wait to dive again!

Highly recommend!! Brian and Drew were fantastic. We were a group with young kids and a senior, all with different levels of experience in the water. We felt extremely safe during our snuba swim and our 6 year old twins got to do a modified snuba. They kids loved it! I searched around to find the perfect snuba experience and I'm glad we went with shoreline snuba. Mahalo!

Shoreline Snuba was the best Maui experience we had for both bang for our buck and so many unexpected surprises. Our guide Drew was so fun and easy to get along with... he even remembered taking our niece and nephew from 3 years ago. He gave us so many tips to really enjoy our time. And he took so many pictures of our family under water (those alone would have been worth the price). We swam over the reef outside of the Westin Timeshare Resort and had the same experience as those who paid so much more for scuba. And we went from the parking lot to underwater in like 20 minutes with so little effort or prep needed... they had everything covered... even offered us full wetsuits (we didn't need them). Highly recommend Snuba and you only need to start with shoreline and ask for Drew or his Uncle.

This was easily the highlight of our vacation in Maui!! Leading up to our snuba excursion, we received up to date emails and texts regarding our appointment. Then on the day of snuba, we met up with our instructor Drew right next to our resort. If you are lucky enough to get Drew as your instructor you will not be disappointed!! He was extremely professional, but also made us feel at ease with our first time trying snuba, giving us directions, pointing out eels and sights, and taking pics of us during our time underwater. Shoreline is a definite recommend if you are looking for once in a lifetime activities in Maui. Thank you Shoreline and Drew!!

The best part of our Maui trip! We had such a blast! The snuba dive was awesome. Drew made us feel so comfortable for our first snuba dive. It was great because it was our own private dive. I loved that he had gone out before our dive to scope out the reef to find the best spot. We were able to swim with the amazing sea turtles. It was so memorable. I highly recommend the snuba dive with shoreline snuba!!!

Excellent experience. 10 out of 10. Drew did an outstanding orientation and dive. I would highly recommend Shoreline Snuba. The sight was clear and beautiful and Drew made the entire experience easy going and successful for our entire family! It was an amazing experience Aloha

One of the best experiences we've ever had!!! Drew, our guide, was best in class. He was so informative, kind, and provided an incredible time. My husband and I checked in way too early (we were excited!!) and Drew was there to greet us with a smile. He took time to educate us on snuba and ensure we felt comfortable prior to walking down to the water. Once in the water he checked on us multiple times and led us through the beautiful coral garden. Drew pointed out amazing marine life and took photos of us while snubaing. We will cherish these photos forever. While we were out, we saw a spotted eagle ray, scorpion fish, eels, turtles, and countless fish. It was an underwater paradise. We rented an extra tank so we could be out longer, and highly recommend it, we were able to stay out for about an hour and explore all over the reef. Thank you Drew for such an incredible experience!! Definitely book with Drew next time you're in Maui!

You can cover a work boot in chocolate and I would eat it, I am not ashamed to say that I am a "Chocaholic" as well as a "Chocosaurus". We met up at their factory located In Lāhainā, fabulous store and open air seating area above their factory. Great modern design and decor and fully operated on solar and Tesla back up battery's. Staff is very friendly and helpful, but the gem of the operation is "Rissi" our guide. He was so knowledgeable of the operation and spoke so well of the growing process I could have listened to him all day and never got bored. He also integrated great things in about growing up on the island, the culture and his family background. Well done "Rissi" I wanna hang out with you. I learned so much about the plants, the natural growing methods Maui Chocolate uses and the process of refining Cocoa into chocolate. The tasting after the orchard tour was in a tree house above the orchards offering beautiful views of the orchard, views of Molokai and Lanai. Once you have tasted Maui Chocolate you won't eat anything else, you shouldn't because you are eating pure coco with only natural ingredients prepared the Maui Chocolate way. Do the tour, whether it's the factory tour or the orchard tour (I am a freak about gardening and growing) so I wanted to learn more about the trees and methods and I truly learned a lot about their natural growing methods. What really hit the heart most was Maui Chocolate donates 100% of it profits to charity, works with the community and also works with other countries on growing methods. Well done Maui Chocolate, you offer more than just chocolate goodness with your huge heart. And thank you "Rissi" for sharing your culture and history while taking care of business. The experience was both educational and delicious from start to finish. We got to see the entire process of how chocolate is made from the cacao plant all the way to the final product. It was fascinating to learn about each stage and our guide made it easy to understand while keeping things fun and engaging. I also learned so much about dark chocolate which I never used to enjoy until now! During the tasting I sampled a variety of unique flavors coffee, guava, mango, and even sugar-free and each one was incredible in its own way. The quality and freshness were unmatched. I was so impressed that after returning home I ordered two shipments from Maui Chocolate because I just couldn't get enough. A quick tip: arrive a little early for your tour. I ran a bit late but was still able to join (thankfully!) and I noticed they run right on schedule. Overall this tour was a highlight of my Maui trip -- fun, flavorful, and full of learning. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island rain or shine!

For us, we prefer the Sunset Cocktail cruise as it's the perfect amount of food and drinks. This last trip, we took the whole family for the express snorkel trip. It's a shorter trip, which worked perfectly for the younger kids and didn't tie up a big amount of island time. Captain Nick and his crew was all about making sure all had a great time while keeping safety at the top of mind. They guaranteed we'd see turtles... we did! Immediately. I accused them of being remote controlled because they were there right on cue! I'm not a big snorkel guy, but I had a blast. We'll keep returning to Sea Maui. Greatest crew on Maui !!

Our first trip…read moreout was an adults-only family excursion while the kids hung out with their grandma and auntie. The catamaran was pretty sweet, with some really comfy bean bags overlooking the edge out to the ocean. While we did occasionally get splashed in this area, it was worth the unobstructed view of the sunset and the breeze in my hair. The crew was especially sweet and treated all of us like absolute royalty. A note to those who are prone to motion sickness: do not try to be brave and only wear sea bands thinking you'll be okay. Take your Dramamine an hour before you board the catamaran. While the first half of our dinner cruise was fine with my motion sickness, the second half of the trip left me feeling really queasy around dinner service time. This made me very sad. This was no fault of the crew, and 100% my fault for thinking I could tough it out. If you are ill-prepared, the crew has ginger ale, club soda and ginger chews to help. Speaking of dinner, the few bites I was able to eat on our first trip were fantastic: a full dinner buffet prepared by Cafe Jai. The salmon was perfectly tender, as was the short rib. The caesar salad was just the right amount of tangy (and the extra dressing was really great on the salmon as well.) I'm not sure what kind of sauce was on the crispy seasoned potatoes but they were absolutely delightful. And of course, the crown on top of a delicious meal was the mini brownie cup we were served for dessert before we wrapped up the trip. Our second trip (where I was prepared with some Dramamine) was a memorial for our grandparents, where we released their cremains at sea with eco-urns. I must say that the crew handled everything wonderfully. We had the full bar, another beautiful buffet spread including some delicious crispy chicken, a pesto pasta salad, pulled beef sliders, and rolls. After we said our emotional goodbyes, we were given rose petals to release into the ocean. We even received certificates after the trip that gave us the coordinates of where my grandparents cremains were released. I seriously cannot thank Sea Maui enough for giving my family a truly memorable experience on our trip to Maui. They made our trip so special. A million thanks for the kindness!

It starts at their building in Lahaina, which has a little café/coffee shop, plenty of chocolate for sale, and a rooftop experience that looked interesting but we didn't get to try. By the time we finished the tour, the kids had reached the "we have successfully experienced enough things today" portion of the vacation. Fair enough. From there, you take a fun little ride out to the cacao farm, and that's where this became much more than "let's go eat some chocolate." Our guide, Andrew (I'm about 95% sure I'm remembering his name correctly!), was fantastic. He seemed genuinely interested in cacao, the process, the company, and what they are doing there. That makes such a difference. He talked about how cacao is grown and processed, the history behind Kuʻia, and a little about founder Dr. Gunars Valkirs and his rather fascinating path to chocolate. Then, of course, there was the tasting. Lots and lots of little squares of chocolate. This is educational work I was willing to undertake. Unfortunately, I can't tell you which particular varieties were my favorites because apparently I was too busy eating them to take adequate scientific notes. What I can tell you is that there really wasn't one I disliked. What surprised me most was how much flavor there could be in chocolate that wasn't buried under a mountain of sugar. The differences and complexity of the cacao actually came through, and it made me think about chocolate completely differently. The chocolate sample they gave us back at the counter was also fantastic, as was the coffee drink we ordered. My only regret is that we didn't buy more chocolate before leaving. Be warned, though: apparently this tour has side effects. I went in expecting a fun Maui family activity where we'd learn a few things and eat some chocolate. I left wondering about cacao varieties, fermentation, processing, climate, chemistry and several other questions that absolutely nobody in my family asked me to investigate. It's been a few weeks and I'm still going down the rabbit hole. Five stars. Great guide, fascinating process, excellent chocolate, fun for the family, and potentially hazardous to anyone predisposed to acquiring new interests while on vacation.

He did everything he could to make everyone feel comfortable, included, and safe despite the challenging conditions. His professionalism, patience, and positive attitude truly stood out, and he deserves every bit of a 5-star rating. We made sure he knew how much we appreciated his hard work. Cons: If you're expecting an experience similar to Waimea Falls--a beautiful, safe, and enjoyable way to explore nature--this tour is unfortunately nothing like that. The concierge at Hyatt appeared to have little understanding of what the trek actually involved. The entire route was muddy, slushy, and extremely slippery. People were constantly losing their footing on wet rocks, tree roots, fallen branches, and uneven terrain. In several places, a slip could have easily resulted in a serious injury. These hazardous conditions continued for virtually the entire hike. If Maui has experienced recent rainfall, I strongly recommend thinking twice before booking this excursion. The trail conditions can become genuinely dangerous, and in my opinion, the risk simply isn't worth it. I only wish someone had been honest with us before we spent the money and put our family in that situation. Please do your own research, check recent trail conditions, and don't assume that every guided excursion is appropriate simply because it's sold through a resort or has high ratings. I would gladly pay the same $250 per person (price we paid for a 5 hr tour - hotel pick up from Hyatt) for a well-maintained state-owned park with established safety measures and properly maintained trails.
