This place is huge, with most items fairly priced. Still, be sure to pay close attention; I saw a blanket with tags on it from Target and the Goodwill asking price was more than what it would have cost directly from Target. -_- But I got a butter bell for $3, significantly less than what I saw for sale at some farmers markets. This is also something I've been questing for and it was the first thing I found, so that told me this trip was going to be successful. I was pleased with this haul, though there have also been days where I walk away with very little. Just the nature of thrifting. This location is large enough that if you go during quieter, weekday hours, it's very easy to maintain social distancing. I saw several folks not wearing masks, so I scurried away down a different aisle. I do wish they had the ability to enforce these rules, but the staff certainly doesn't get paid enough to deal with the push back. One of my favorite goodwill locations. It's close to home, has a good variety of fashion forward items and everything is organized. I wish there was a women's 99 cent t-shirt rack like the men's!! I'd be all over that. I end up paying like $5-10 for a shirt here usually. Sometimes it's not even worth that much. Funny thing, I donated a few items two days ago and I saw a tote bag that i donated on the shelf for $3.99 that i got for free (it's a grocery shopping tote bag sold at retail stores for $1). So be careful! You can find good prices, but don't be tricked into thinking the value of something is more than what it's worth. Also, it was a little frustrating when shopping- the workers were continually pushing their way around me to organize clothes rather than letting me shop. The aisles are very small and I take up most of it so them pushing their way around me was slightly uncomfortable especially being pregnant and all... The woman at check out was really nice, folded the clothes with care and had an overall positive attitude! read more

2.5 Why is everyone always so *foaming at the mouth* happy about Goodwill? I've been to this location a few times in the last month, as they happen to be across the street from my bank. This is a big store, it's laid out fairly well, they seperate out "hot fashions" from the rest of the stuff, and throw in new items here and there. But their prices? are you freakin' kidding me? This is USED clothing betches. I can get better deals on new things on a Target sale rack than you can on some things here. I don't know that I even consider myself lucky for the $10 in stuff I've found here....I could have gotten it anywhere else, it was no "special find"...like the ones I make regularly at VV nearly every time I'm there. They do not have 99 cent days, like Value Village, they have $1.29 days. Goodwill, get your head out of the clouds...you'd do much better for yourself if you priced accordingly, had more rotating sale days, gave better 'comp' for making a donation while also a purchase, and weren't trying to compete with Target..that's not the league you're in. +1 however for the giggles on the little black dress I saw w/ the Lewinski mark *wink* .... This is my least favorite Goodwill, maybe it's just my dumb luck... maybe... perhaps... maybe? Previously on Justin Prince's Yelp feed, you were treated to my review about the U-District Goodwill... and I gave them a fantastic review... this Goodwill in Shoreline is like any other thrift store. The selection is pretty jumbled but I have never (save for some awesome deals on socks and belts) found anything that was truly epic here. The staff is like any Goodwill, they are present and there... but really don't do much, not a prob since I'm fairly low maintenance. I've been hitting this place up since they opened up a while back, this location is one of the newer shops to open up. Headed over last night to blow off some time while Veggie-girl was taking her piano lessons up the street. Plenty of parking at this location, which I like a lot better than most, next to the Bellevue/Redmond location this is tops! Everything is kept in an "area" of the store and for the most part this place is clean and tidy. I too was entertained by the east Asian dude attempting to work his Engrish trans-ray-tions over the mic. I felt sorry for him actually, as there were many snickers and bits of laughter after each of his announcements. For $5 I found some powered computer speakers that worked, and my kids were happy, enuff said.... Oh, they also have nice clean restrooms, for washing up after searching through the bins and isles for your much needed treasures! read more

My first visit to Goodwill was this weekend. There was no obvious stench like the Lynnwood Value Village, the store tries to be nicely laid out but seems to be pretty cluttered. I found a Coach among the purses, but, even with the sun faded fabric and scuffed bottom, they wanted 60 DOLLARS for it! For a freakin' used purse. For reals! Oh... woops. I mean I went on an outing to this thrift store, and I found so many GREAT deals! Ok, at least the foreign guy making store announcements every 5 minutes was entertaining. This is a fairly decent goodwill, but the guy who accepts donations is a total jerk. As you unload boxes, he will open your unloaded boxes and start handing stuff back to you. Things I know that goodwill accept are handed back to me. One time when he was doing this (he has done this every time I've donated), he started handing stuff back to my boyfriend who was on the other side of the car as I was unloading. I will never go to this goodwill again just because of how rude this guy is. I know that some things can and can't be donated, but I have taken the stuff he has given back to other goodwill locations and they take them, no questions or rudeness back. I even ask them if this is acceptable and they say yes. I've told all my neighbors to go else where to donate. read more

This is a clean, well stocked, organized store. The selection of goods is excellent! It's a particularly great place to find designer dresses and purses. Best of all, no thrift store smell! Mondays are discount days when it's $1.29 for a particular colored tag. Like other stores that run that type of promotion, the supply becomes very depleted on that day as many hit them up when they open. If you're looking for something specific, I'd recommend not going on a big sale day or holiday. Shoe arrangement is very difficult for thrift stores. I must say that I have been impressed each time I've been in - the shoes are orderly and unlike other stores, do not litter the aisles as tripping hazards. The housewares, as other departments is much neater compared to other stores. This has something to do with customers putting items back but also staff coming around constantly to put things in place. I've been impressed at the efficiency of the staff as I shop, often with staff members zooming in and out to stock items while I'm browsing. All in all, a solid thrift store with a respectable mission that takes pride in their business. read more

Big ugh. Goodwill's prices are dumb. So overpriced for free donations. They exploit workers and make money off of them. Shoreline in particular, I have had bad experiences. I ask the jewelery lady at the counter what color tag it was. She was so rude and short with me. I came back a week later and overheard a phone call she was having with a customer, who had apparently asked what color tag it was. As soon as she hung up the phone she starts talking shit about them. I get y'all work at goodwill, but don't be an a-hole. Oh and one last thing..TARGET donates unsold clothes to goodwill. I love me some Goodwill and I pride myself on being a good thriftier. My favorite goodwills are Ballard and headquarters (Dearborn). This location is dirty and not well kept. Their items aren't as high quality as things I find at other goodwill locations. The donation drive through area always takes forever too! read more

I must admit I was a little disappointed in this Goodwill. It was huge, but I just didn't really find much here. I thought that for the area it was in, it'd have some decent stuff---I was looking for menswear (i.e. cool shirts, jackets, sweaters, etc.). I tried out a couple of things, but I wasn't really feeling 'em. If anything, this Goodwill was like the one out in the Tri-Cities near me---not a compliment. But hey, they give people job training and jobs, so it never hurts to donate or buy stuff at a Goodwill. I'll have to give this place another chance....maybe after Christmas. They had a really great selection of high end name brand purses and some pretty good furniture. But the clothing section was pretty slim pickings as far as even mediocre middle of the range brand clothing . I did like also though how organized this goodwill seemed to be compared to many other goodwill stores I've been to. Customer service was friendly and I'd say also this stores employees is the better of Snohomish County's sales associates goes there at goodwill. There is something for everyone at this location. Furniture, electronics, clothing, books... oh, they have a LOT of books! I came here with an out of town family member who needed a carry-on bag cheap for all the things she bought during her visit. She found something that worked perfectly for under $20 with no funky smells or damage. Plenty of parking and Black Pearl is right across the street for some pre-Goodwill lunching. You'll want to wash your hands afterward but I feel that way after any extended thrifting. There's plenty of parking and helpful staff. And there's the cheerful Filipino man who gives the store announcements... makes me miss my aking pamilya back in Texas! read more

My husband and I both went to the Good Will and the person who rang us up kept going back and forth between to other people next to him and he didn't put all of our stuff into our bag that we bought from them which was more expensive there than it is at the one in Ballard, the guy who rang us up put the biggest things into the bag instead of the smallest things and when we went back to them after we had called them last night the caucasian woman with the Barbie Blond hair was very disrespectful she decided that she was not going to keep the word of the manager last night and do undo what her staff had done and the filipino woman was extremely rude and inconsiderate of everything she was very argumentative!! The parking lot is very small and you can get into a car accident very fast because of the way they have it all set up! The Filipino woman followed us out of the store like we were going to steal something from there because the woman with the Barbie blond hair told her to follow us out side and she did she also heard me say that I was going to be writing a review on them on yelp and she went inside and told the woman that had the Barbie blond hair what I said, if one manager cannot keep his own word then he should not be a manager and neater should the other two women in fact they should be fired as far as we're concerned!!! read more

This location is overpriced, smells worse inside than others and the staff are always too busy to actually help you if, god forbid, you have a question or need. I left this location unhappy. I am a long time Goodwill donor and shopper and so I chose to check the Ballard Goodwill because it was closer to my home. It was night and day and I found almost the exact same thing there for half of what this location in Shoreline was asking. To each their own. This is a thrift store after all but they still need to provide a certain level of service, maintain a level cleanliness in store and realistically price merch. I live in the the neighborhood and was excited to see this Goodwill come to fruition. However, after giving it a few chances I have determined that I am overwhelmed, underwhelmed and unimpressed. The store is huge and decently organized but in many ways tries way too hard which creates problems of its own. Case in point- there are two women's sections. I don't understand this. From what I can tell one section is supposed to be "hand-picked" especially "fashionable" items for which the prices are more at a consignment store level, not a thrift store level. The other section is the left-overs, I guess. I go to a thrift store to hunt around and make an amazing find, I don't need the employees picking out all the "good stuff" for me. And please- just put the shoes all in one place. Speaking of which, there are entirely too many shoes for the shoe section. Because they need so many shoe racks they are placed much too close together to make the experience comfortable and quite smelly (food-stink smelly, as I don't have a problem with "thrift store smell"). Further more the shoe organization is way too confusing and complicated for a thrift store. (Trying too hard). Perhaps if they weeded out some of the total crap it wouldn't be quite so bad. This Goodwill does not receive the same "trendy" "hipster" crowd that the Ballard and U District stores do. Lot's of families, many of them low-income. It would behoove them to lower their prices and stop trying to be more than they really are. One last thing, the intercom is RIDICULOUSLY loud. Most of my shopping experience included a constant dialog from the employees snapping and snarking at each other via this loud intercom system. Even the soft favorites playing in the store are more pleasant to listen to than THAT. read more

You can't miss it because they have: 1. A huge parking lot 2. A huge sign out front like a Texas cross or a Perkins flag. Goodwill may literally be the only thing in Shoreline. I appreciate a well organized thrift store, but rainbowtizing things is no substitute for selling nice things at reasonable prices. Maybe Minnesota thrift stores or Value Village 99 cent days have ruined me but I have come to expect used shoes to be under $10. Also, I made the mistake of trying to make a call while shopping. Every 3 minutes (or less!) I was interrupted by people on the loudspeaker, whether they were talking about gift cards, announcing tag sales, calling people to the front, calling people to the donation center, etc. It's rare for me to leave a huge thrift store without anything, because I am incredibly cheap and have very low standards. read more

This is a relatively new location, taking over a former Albertson's grocery store. It gets points for being new, clean, and good parking lot, but that's about it. The men's tshirts section is pretty limited and I'm skeptical of the women's "fashion" section..just seems like an excuse to randomly charge higher prices for something. The housewares is always fun though. I bought my sister a mug with her name on it. haha. Checking out usually takes a while. There's always a question of, do you line up at each register or is it one big line? I prefer the latter, but then they saw the line back up and whooooosh, 3 more cashiers showed up. On the upside, I returned some boots I bought here within their allowable period (7days? I forget) and it was smooth, even though he didn't seem to believe me that I didn't wear the boots outside. I bought them used, so they look used. :) Since it's close to me, I will still add it to my rotation when we go thrifting. read more

This Goodwill has a huge selection of Children's books, very reasonably priced at 79 cents each. Pretty decent selection of other books too. It seems like their VHS tapes are perpetually on sale 2 for $1. Pretty clean and good smelling as far as thrift stores go. Well lit and lots of space. read more

I like this good will as it is only a few blocks from my home... its clean and nice... it doesn't have the ikky Goodwill smell I remember as a kid... I do agree the prices ARE steep... but you can find some good deals... i got a really nice gravy boat for $2 the other day... and I've been needing one for forever... but you do have to dig through the stuff to find a good deal... I do hate that the Albertsons is gone though :( I miss all their 10/$10 deals... and hate driving all the way to aurora to go there... read more

Bargains to be had but you have to look through a lot of high priced crap to find them. For the most part pretty well organized and does not stink like some thrift stores. Yes, always a line so the bargain better be worth you time. Personnel are pretty friendly if not great drivers. I was hit in the butt with a book cart by one a while back. This is a good store. I found an $8.50 women's Jacket from Style and Co. (Macy's) that is regularly $125. I wear it just about everyday at work. OK I know it's from that famous duo Poly and Ester, but when I have to toss it because it smells or it falls apart, I won't feel bad--It only cost $8.50 OK Found some other deals--and I was delighted because I'm not an off the rack type person. Found some obscure t-shirts for my son--local rock bands etc. I also have taken up drinking glass collecting--I have a whole bunch of them and they were all 59cents. They have to be a certain size, weight, look, etc, and none of them can match. I break them a lot so this ends up being a good thing for me to shop for. Great book section. I found some great beads for cheap. I found a carved mask and some great hand mades...I enjoy coming here and perusing the shtuff...I stay away from the pre packaged items myself, but there is something for everyone here and of course, it always pays to stop at JAVA JANE'S just outside in the parking lot for the hot, caffeinated beverage of your choice. Life is good when you can celebrate those hunter gatherer skills at the local thrift shop. read more

I loved this Goodwill! Everything was really organized, and I'd consider the store "big" as far as the selection and variety went. The clothes were organized extremely neatly by type of material and color, but what I liked most about it was the number of fitting rooms. The last Goodwill I went to had just 2 fitting rooms with cloth for doors and no mirrors, this one has like 6 rooms, all secured and with mirrors, thank god! read more

This is my family and I's favorite place to come to when we decide we are being "enslaved" by our belongings and need to purge and cleanse. I've only been in a couple times and have found some good books and stuff for Halloween, so this review is mainly for the donation drop off. The location is convenient and spots are marked for easy drop offs. The staff is usually nice, sometimes they may not speak a lot of English, but are helpful and quick to unload your stash. They also give you a slip for tax write-offs. They definitely have been an important step in our family's vow to declutter! P.S. - I swear we donate good stuff! So hopefully the quality overall is getting better :D read more

Great local place to drop off stuff when you don't have enough time or energy to actually do that garage sale - they take pretty much everything too!!! With regard to shopping, I think it's the kind of place you have to go to frequently to find that gem. There's a couple of things I do go there for - books - especially music books. They've got a huge children's book section and it's really cheap. And I usually find myself winding through the kitchen tableware - but again, it's hard to find just what you're looking for. And buyer beware - they may not be all that discounted - I've seen similar items for cheaper on sale in other stores. read more

This place has some great things but not a very bargain prices. While a lot of the stuff is gently used it's expensive and you could get something brand new for a few dollars more. They have amazing furniture, but it's mostly very expensive. They have a wide variety of items. I got a nice bike for about $80. I doubt I'll buy anything else there as I don't want to spend so much on used items. read more

This store has really improved the cleanliness of their bathroom. I used to cringe at the thought of going in there. Now it's clean but still has that solid air freshener smell that gas station bathrooms have. The Edmonds store has the cleanest thrift store bathroom I have ever been in. I go to Goodwill stores only usually for one reason: Books. I've found awesome, like-new books in a variety of Goodwill stores of the course of the year, such as "The Time Traveler's Wife," The Shopaholic Series, "Memoirs of a Geisha." Paperbacks-$1.99. Hardbacks are a dollar more. This definitely beats Amazon or even any bookstore for their regular sale price. At this location, its larger than most Goodwill stores, therefore their selection of everything is larger as well. It's also fairly clean, but is somewhat nosy at times with the intercom going off at times. Huge parking lot too! It definitely takes some time to rumble through the assortment of junk and things, but in the end I think you will usually come out with something. Also great for holidays-Halloween if you are going costume shopping, Christmas if looking for wrapping paper, lights, etc. Favorites to shop here at for a bargain price: -Cards (A buck for a moderate birthday, or occasion card) -Movies/DVDs (If you come back once in a while, you might stumble on some sweet popular films that you might wanna buy & have) -Books (Cheaper than bookstore and online) -Type of furniture, still in like-new condition -Some kitchen stuff (drinking glasses, candle holder, etc) read more

I am apparently alone in thinking this is a great location! Their stuff is awesome, they have all of the cool things you go to thrift stores for. I didn't look at the clothes or anything, but the store was laid out nicely and the staff was reasonably friendly. I found a huge vintage picture for my living room for $12 and was super happy. They even had two of those cool old army chests that I almost bought! They get the best stuff in seattle. Prices can be a little steep, but the stuff is cool and I think you're still paying less than what retail would technically be. read more

Tied for second place in my ranking of Goodwill Stores. This location used to be an Albertson's grocery store, so it's one of the bigger Goodwills. I enjoy their good selection of housewares and furniture, but sometimes they have things behind the collectibles desk that make me think "Really?! I wouldn't pay more than $2 for that" This store also has a good assortment of holiday decorations around Halloween and Christmas. The only thing that disappointments me is that I usually forgot to look over the books because they're hiding at the front of the store by the customer service desk. read more

All the Goodwill's are sticker happy. I shop for music here and the records used to be .99 cents but to squeeze and extra buck from you they now have stickers with various prices directly on them,and to justify that they say on colored tag day you,ll get them for 30% off.Whoopee,just stick to .99 cents and stick the stickers somewhere else. same with the cd's,stop stickering them,half the time they cover up the titles. read more

Some thrift stores are good for going in to find exactly what you're looking for. This location is huge and has a lot of stuff. I've found that I always leave happy with a few well priced gems as long as I'm willing to keep an open mind about what I need. I will admit that you need to go hunting for those gems as this store isn't well organized and larges are often next to extra smalls, but that's what makes for goodwill hunting. read more
