Mel was my midwife for my daughter's home birth almost 1.5 years ago now. Birthing wasn't as bad as people make it osund. I understand why birthing moms may want epidurals, but in labor it was clear to me that there was no way anyone was getting me in a moving vehicle of any kind. I saw her, Jen and Cindi for prenatal care. The prenatal checkups were laid back, I felt well informed. They listened to me and would do what was necessary at visits while keeping the visits informal feeling, more of a dialogue of how pregnancy was going for me. As of maybe 2 months ago Midwife Seattle has split into two practices: Cindi and Amanda, and Mel and Jen. It came down to some insurance issue having to do with hospital births. So now all of them only do home births. Cindi and Amanda are at Midwife Seattle and I cannot recall the name of Mel and Jen's new practice.

My husband is not a fan of medical procedures and so I was surprised when he reported that things went beautifully. I made the appointment for him and the staff picked up on the second ring. I can't recall whom I spoke with but she was patient and addressed all questions. She told me what to expect step by step and offered several different appointments that worked with his schedule. I'm in the medical field myself and know good service. I was confident they would take good care of him and they did! My husband had a tech named Shannon. He didn't get her last name but said she had previously been a tech at Cherry Hill and chose to move to Radia since it's close to her house. He said that they were short staffed (according to some lady in the waiting area) but Shannon never rushed him or seemed preoccupied. He said his wait was less than 10 minutes. Shannon was funny and treated him like an old friend. He notes that she was confident in her approach and when she walked him out, another patient came up to insist that Shannon do her imaging. It's a testament to how good they are if Radia was able to convince Shannon to move to this clinic from a hospital! If management reads this please let Shannon know that we appreciate her and will never go elsewhere! My husband said Radia was clean and organized. Unlike some patients, we had absolutely no problems with billing. They promptly billed our insurance and when we received our EOB (explanation of benefits) we were surprised at how much less it was than had we gone to Swedish Medical Center. We promptly paid the bill that arrived a month after our EOB and have never had a problem. If you need to have imaging done, I highly recommend Shannon. I seriously almost sent her flowers. She helped my stubborn husband and that deserves 5 stars!!!!!

When you are required to have a primary care physician you expect to develop a relationship with that caregiver and seek them out, specifically, for your medical needs. My first visit took weeks to get. Swollen legs, ankles numbness and a concern about deep vein thrombosis and it was still weeks. My care was great and loved the care provider. But every time I have had an acute situation since, the soonest they will schedule is 3 weeks out. When I complain they tell me to go to urgent care or the ER. NO!!! I have a specific care provider and insurance for a reason. I expect a day to 3 days wait, but if you ever need to be seen quickly, there quickly is a minimum of 9-10 days. Expect to use your local ER and pay that bill. This is terrible care IMO. So sick of this healthcare system. Might add that I am paying $1300 a month for this insurance. Super annoyed. Quit booking these doctors so tightly that there's no room for acute patients. There are plenty of people that need to be seen sooner. And want to see their own doctor, not a new stranger.

They provided me with 6 months of testosterone for $1500 after the first 6 months I went back and I paid another $1500, Back in July 2022 weeks before I was going to run out, I called the office, I emailed the office multiple times trying to get a refill before running out of testosterone...... Well they never replied and never called back, so I decided to show up at the clinic, when I showed up I told him I needed to get a refill, Maurice, the office person offer me to provide me an entire year of testosterone for $2,500 instead of paying two payments of $1500, and I accepted it: They also offered me to get me Phntermine to loose weight, for another $400 more, to which I accepted, They ran my card and I left, 2 weeks later I'm still waiting for the refill to show up at my door, so I decide to call the pharmacy to ask for the Phentermine, the pharmacy tells me they dont have any prescription orders for me, So I called the clinic to get an ETA on the testosterone and to cancel the Phentermine prescription since they never sent it to the pharmacy, to my surprise: Maurice couldn't even find my transaction, he couldn't even find the order, I showed him my receipt up in person to prove that I did pay $2500 and another $400 for the phentermine, I told him I wanted to cancel the phentermine and to order the testosterone and he told me that Dr Washington was going to talk to me and I said OK. This time the Dr tried to pull a fast one on me: he's like: "unfortunately we no longer order the testosterone for patients, Im going to give you a prescription so you can get the testosterone on your own" and I asked him what about my $2,500? He's like "oh, thats just the service fee from getting you the prescription, we no longer pay for the testosterone" I said: Why Maurice offered me to cover an etire years worth for $2500? And he is like "He made a mistake" then he is like: "I'll tell you what: I'll give you the phentermine for free and I will give you the prescription for the testosterone it will be cheaper if you buy it yourself". WTF? I told him look Dr, I'm not playing here: I was promised a years worth of testosterone for $2500 thats what I want honored, I dont want free stuff, as amatter of fact I dont want the phentermine and I want a refund of those $400 or I'll have an attorrney talk to you? He quickly said: "No, no I'll get you the testosterone" to which I was like Mhhhh? Is he doing something illegal here? Because as soon I mention attorney, his demeanor changed and quickly wanted to be friendly! Anyways I left agreeing that he will send the a years worth of Testsoterone and refund of $400. Well 3 weeks later I still didnt receive a refund of the $400 so I had to do a charge back on that, the testosterone finally showed up at my house. BUT GUESS WHAT? Sneaky Dr Washington only ordered 4 months worth: I only got 30 doses total, 2 doses per week thats only 4 months. (check picture attached) I think Dr Washington thought I wasnt going to say anything or do anything about it, but now that I have all the documentation with me, he will now hear from an attorney shortly.

After a blood transfusion and emergency surgery he was the only Doctor I trusted and had multiple other surgeries with him over the next 11 years, and the only reason he still isn't my doctor is because I moved to Southern California. In long A scrape on my leg had gotten infected, so I was hoping to get an Rx for some antibiotics and hurry home for the Hawks game. They checked me in in minutes, and found my insurance that had just taken effect a couple days earlier. Nice! The system texted me some info to fill out, and she told me it would list me as being seen in about 25 minutes, but it would be much sooner. The PA came out within 60 seconds to say that they didn't house one piece of equipment I'd need as part of a full eval, and I should go around the corner to the ER. He definitely felt bad delivering this news, and explained it even more thoroughly than he really needed to. I got it right away. He was quick to say that they would cancel the visit and not charge me. Even though I ended up missing the whole game, he was spot-on about what the ER would do to evaluate the infection. I got great care there, thankfully much of it in front of a fuzzy, dim TV showing the game. So I can't really complain about anything other than my own procrastination for leaving the trip until late afternoon.

I was told that I "looked fine" and advised to continue using the same topical medication, despite my concerns. My visit was also incorrectly documented with appointment notes about whiplash, a condition I never reported or had. After following their guidance, my condition got significantly worse to the point I couldn't open my eye and had to seek care elsewhere. Another provider immediately told me to stop the medication and prescribed a different treatment that worked almost overnight. I formally contested both the care and the incorrect documentation, but their medical review team still determined that everything was "appropriate" and refused to adjust the charge. I will never go back and cannot recommend them.
