I would be VERY careful of using his services as his promises are not kept in his guaranty or refund policies. Buyer beware!

On April 14th I called because the tip of the hearing aid got stuck in my mother's ear. It usually takes 5-10 minutes for them to remove the piece. The hearing aid also needed a minor repair which also normally takes just 5-10 minutes. I called at 9:15 and left a message explaining the issue, but didn't receive a call back. I called again at 10:30 and the receptionist told me she would call us back. By 1:00 we hadn't heard from them so I had to take my mother to Sutter Urgent Care which took two hours. By the end of the day, we still had not heard from SC EN&T Medical Group. The next day, I took the hearing aid into the Water St. location for the repair. While I was trying to explain what needed to be done to one person, the receptionist who I talked to on the phone the previous day interrupted and claimed she tried to call us back. Well, we all know our cell phones provide a list of incoming and outgoing calls and none of the three phone numbers (mine, my sister's, or my mother's) shows a call from SC EN&T and no message was left. This review gets two stars only because the woman who helped me when I dropped off the hearing aid for repair (I think "Molly") was gracious, ready to listen, and it was ready to be picked up within an hour after I dropped it off. I understand the office is busy and people need to wait in line for service, but at the same time, consideration should be given when you know you have a 100 year-old client with a problem that can be fixed in 5-10 minutes. Instead, we had to go to Urgent Care where our mother was potentially exposed to sick people and falling asleep in the waiting room. I also do not appreciate being interrupted while I'm trying to explain a concern. Be respectful.

I specifically asked, working in medical background as a nurse, to check our insurance to confirm we are in network. She did, confirmed my insurance and then also confirmed they are in network. So.. 3 hours later, I receive a call letting me know that for my upcoming appt, my insurance is not in network and the office wanted to let me know. So I responded and said, that's strange as I specifically had your coworker who made the appt, check our insurance while I was on the phone. The lady said that she's the only one that checks insurance. After letting her know that I'm in the medical field and that's not how that works, and usually when a referral is sent the doctors office checks insurance before phoning the patient to schedule the appt and that I could've spent the last 3 hours looking for an alternative place for our serious issue we were benign seen the following day for. Horrible horrible horrible office with horrible staff. Delaying a pediatric patient the needed imaging to rule out cancer because of your incompetent staff. The 2nd lady that phone me to inform me they do not accept our insurance admitted the first last that phoned me needs more training. From reviews.. it seems the entire office does. You're here for the damn patients, remember that.

Or just me not reacting in time when exposed to places with speakers playing really loud music? These people are the exclusive specialists you should see if you have concerns with tinnitus of any kind. They will pull all of the important hearing tests and properly educate you about tinnitus so you won't believe stuff you see online. I now carry around ear plugs attached to my keys everywhere I go. I may not be able to control random loud sounds outside but I can control how I react. By putting on ear plugs the instant I know loud noises are coming, and living cautiously by not going to places where I know the noise/music is loud.

In my case, I went in searching for custom hearing plugs as I experience some very loud environments with my job and in my day-to-day life. Dr. Patty sat down with me and walked me through every step: educating me on how the inner workings of the ear, the methodology she has honed to create the custom mould, and how to find the ideal reduction in decibels that would best suit my needs. You are also given the option of picking from a variety of colours! Dr. Patty then brings you back in for a fitting and followup to ensure the plugs are the perfect size and achieve your protection needs with a comprehensive audio test (If you're lucky she will also bless you with a plethora of fun animal facts!) I am blown away by the level of care I was provided with. To Jalisa, Melissa, and Dr. Patty, thank you SO much for being such amazing people and for all of your time and help. Hats off to Anga and Hannah. I was happy with my widex hearing aids after five years - and they…read morereplaced one that was lost under warranty. My hearing decreased a bit so i looked a buying a new set to take advantage of changes in technology. They suggested the phonak ultrasphere. These have much better controls and integration with the iphone but to get better results you really have to know how to use the app. They got on support with Phonak and walked through my use case and we tailored the app (from the phonak app and apple dash board) so that i could adjust for different use cases : TV, playing live music, restaurant, etc. The Phonak can reprogram some settings with a remote session. So in my house we logged into a support call and they adjusted some of the settings. They also phoned me a few times so that i could learn about some of the nuances - such as adjusting sound levels of background noises. The Phonak allows adjusting speaker and mic levels as well as mike source. It's no fun losing your hearing as you get older but really great having the support of professionals who know their way around new technology!

After I got my aids, I needed assistance but they never returned my phone calls, emails, or a request for help through the manufacturer's iPhone app. It was worth it to me to pay a "transfer of coverage" fee to Dr. Lao to have her take over maintenance of them. To make a long story very short, the original dispenser put the wrong length wires on my aids so that the front-facing microphones were buried behind my ears making them useless. Certainly explains a lot, eh? Dr. Lao replaced the wires for me and now the hearing aids are in the right place - peeking over the tops of my ears and letting the microphones do what they were designed to do -- pointing towards people I am talking to so that I can hear them. Rachel Abrams saved my life…read more This is how I respond whenever I'm asked what I think, how I feel, about my physician. Having seen a number of doctors pass me and my symptoms by ("its chronic fatigue. There's nothing we can do. You'll feel better in a year"), in 2007 Dr. Abrams was the only one who actually took the time to help me, talk to me, and get to know me. Yes, I had chronic fatigue....due to some serious health issues no one wanted to address. One being heavy metal toxicity which completely deteriorated my body. Dr. Abrams discussed with me the many tests we could do, along with the cost...so I was fully informed. Her expertise in traditional western medicine, eastern and holistic, combined with her natural kindness and compassion (she holds my hand and looks me in the eye!) makes her a hero in my book. When every other doctor rushed me out of the office making me to believe it was just age (i was 43. seriously?) and hormones (without checking my hormone level?), Dr. Abrams actually wanted to help me...and she was determined to find the cause. She did....and she healed me. Now, logistics....the facility is calm and comforting. The staff are all very lovely and kind. Her office feels warm and safe. There are other modalities in the center (chiropractice, bodywork, acupuncture, ongoing classes, etc), so the energy feels vibrant and light. I, obviously, highly recommend Dr. Rachel Abrams. She is kind, compassionate, brilliant, and so refreshing. I feel the healing begin the moment I walk through her door.
