I have had some ear congestion and vertigo over the past few months and Kaiser sent me to see…read moreMichele at Dedicated Hearing Solutions in Soquel. Michele tested my hearing and "pressure" in my ears. She took a full history and spent almost an hour testing my hearing. She was friendly and her office is cute and comfortable. She let me know my hearing is in the "normal" range and sent the results back to my PC. Michele Nicholas

I live close by "Dedicated Hearing Solutions", and thought I would stop by and inquire about what…read moreservices they offer. I am a young man, 43, and I bought my first hearing aids about 3 years ago. I didn't have a good experience with the "big" company where I purchased them from. So, living close to DHS, I decided to stop in and inquire about their services. DHS is run by Dr. Michelle an audiologist boasting 37 years experience. I walked in and she was finishing up with a client. Her husband was the receptionist so we chatted while I waited. Very nice man! Anyways, she saw me and I told her I was there to inquire about what services she offered, cleaning, repair, e.g. She asked to see my right hearing aid and took it behind a partition in the same room. She proceeded to work on it hidden out of sight within a few feet. She then frantically started going into the other room and out to her car looking for a "special" cleaning tool. Why wouldn't she carry it with her? She ended up breaking my hearing aid and her excuse was she didn't have her "special " tool which was the size of a pinky nail?!!?! Anyways, she wanted me to leave my hearing aid with her all weekend!?!? I wasn't comfortable with that. Being a Friday, I said I'd come back Monday(Friday & Monday's are the two days she is at this particular office), I returned on Monday and with her "tool" she couldn't fix my hearing aid which worked before she ever laid hands on it. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON FOR YOUR HEARING ISSUES!!!!! She did apologize, but in a world of expensive $$$ hearing aids, an apology is absolutely NOTHING! STAY AWAY FROM........DEDICATED HEARING SOLUTIONS!!!!!!!

He did great by me. Had what was acting like water in my ear. Waited a couple of months per "Dr…read moreGoogle". no better. Went to see Dr Montgomery, he had me pinch my nose and breath out hard to pop my ear, told me to do that a couple of time a day for a few days, if the problem came back then come see him again. Problem never went away, went back in, he did an endoscopy (put a camera up my nose) and kinda hemmed and hawed and said he didn't see anything obviously wrong but it just looked odd. Looked up the other side for comparison, split the monitor screen and put both sides up and showed me this very slight difference between the two eustachian tube openings. I personally couldn't see any difference but he was perplexed and thought we should do an MRI. I agreed, the MRI found possible neoplasm in the eustachian tube and soft palette. Neaplasm are growths or tumors. Dr Montgomery talked to me, wanted to do an immediate biopsy, he had no openings in surgery but one of the other ENT's had a cancellation in a couple of days, it was Montgomery's day off but he was willing to come in and do it if I was available. Biopsy completed, diagnosis follicular lymphoma of the soft palette and eustachian tube. Lots of blood tests, MRI's, pet scan done in the weeks since. I have one more test, a biopsy of the bone marrow. My oncologist says he doesn't think that they'll find anything 'cause all the other tests came back really good. He said I was lucky to have found it so soon and I was probably stage 1 or 2. I was lucky I went to a good doctor for my ear problem. Dr Montgomery took the time to actually notice something, then went out of his way to speed the process through the system and get me diagnosed quickly. Even coming in on his day off! Thank You, Dr Montgomery.
