They have a Barnes & Noble, 5 guys, Love Sac, Orvis, nail salon, Sugar Boo. Con Olio's olive oil and balsamic vinegars, and there's a spice specialty store too. I believe on Sundays they have a small farmers market there. It's a really nice shopping center. They do have some benches you can sit, and in the back where Amy's ice cream is, there's a little park. Kids can play, parents can sit and watch. Years ago they used to have a live band in the summer time. Not sure if they still have that or not.

There's also little musical instruments for the kiddos to play with, life sized cows for them to pose with, a giant chess set, an overlook to pose with your family in front of hill country, a pond where you can watch ducks swim happily, an ice cream shop, home goods stores, an Orvis store, a Barnes and noble, a fantastic art gallery, a Cheesecake Factory and more. All fine and worthy businesses perfectly curated in my opinion for an evening of shopping and dining with the family. I will say I wish the vendors gave more than a thimble full of Samples at the event. Last year was perfect. Maybe put a stipulation for sample sizes in keeping with the "pints" event name. :-)

I spend a great deal of time at The Domain. I asked myself why while I was back at the Domain…read moreagain today. The Domain is now a sought-after destination - where shopping (casual and high-end), dining, night life and other fun experiences converge. You can go shopping, meet a friend for happy hour, or do something completely fun and adventurous in the course of the day or evening. One of my Finance groups hosts a monthly Finance meeting at The Domain. Shopping...some of my favorite fun stores are at the Domain such as J. Crew and Anthropologie. I love these two stores because they have unique goods at great prices, in general, and specifically, have amazing sales. If you are a big baller, you can shop at stores like Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Tiffany's and whole host of other high stores. I'm a tiny baller. Smile. Dining - At the Domain you can get reasonably priced foods to high end fare. Some of my favorite places to dine in the Domain include Glorias, Flower Child, Paul Martin's and Haywire. Important to note, most restaurants have great happy hours and associated amazing prices. Nightlife - Some say that The Domain (especially on Rock Rose Avenue) is the new 6th Street (known for its bars and Live music). I would not venture out that far. However, if you want to party in the wee hours of the night, you can do it at The Domain. Fun Experiences - You can transport yourself to fun such as IPIC movie theatre, Museum of Illusion or the Battle of the Games. Last weekend I discovered the Barkin Creek Dog Kitchen & Bath...so, The Domain is not only for humans. Love The Domain...I am sure I will see you there!

Outdoor mall with lots of popular stores like Neiman Marcus, Lululemon, Alo, Anthropologie, Bath & Body, Aritizia, and many more! A lot of the retail staff are friendly and there seems to be stuff going on during the holidays, so definitely check it out. Also, lots of parking garages.

The dress I originally planned to wear did not work out, so I ordered another one. It's technically floor length, but I'm 5'10" so it stops at the ankle instead of covering my feet. So now the shoes have to be stunning enough that no one will even notice the hemline. I ordered a pair on Amazon that were supposed to arrive Friday. Then I got the dreaded update that they were delayed to Saturday... at 10 PM. Well, that's not going to work. So I made the mad dash to Nordstrom Rack Saturday morning. I walked in with low expectations, fully prepared to hit multiple stores before finding anything close to what I needed. Instead, I found the most gorgeous Badgley Mischka crystal pumps. They're slightly bigger than my normal size, but that actually works in my favor. They're comfortable, my toes can move, and I can already tell I won't be plotting my escape from them halfway through the evening. While I was there I grabbed a strapless bra and even found a formal bag that works better than the clutch I originally planned to carry. Sibyl at checkout was the perfect finishing touch to my morning. Friendly, outgoing, and genuinely helpful. The whole experience felt like the Nordstrom culture of service I studied back in graduate school.

This NR has been around at Gateway between Container Store and Whole Foods in North Austin since 2009, the first to arrive in our region. The focus is apparel, accessories, and shoes, with a little bit of cosmetics, body care, and travel supplies on the floor. Our family has been shopping here for years as a reliable, low-hassle source of decent wardrobe staples for the business casual office, last minute travel, or special events. I personally loathe the mall and massive department stores, so NR is my choice when I need to get in, get what I need, and get out with no distraction or delay. My husband loves coming in here for high quality dress shirts & shoes, and he especially likes the speedy on-site alteration service. If you enter the Fitting Rooms area, at the back of the men's aisle on the right, you'll see someone sitting at a sewing machine, hemming away. Be sure to join the Nordy Club to "rack" up rewards for purchases. See what I did there? Lately I've been preparing for a summer trip to a cool climate destination, and I wanted to refresh some well-worn capsule wardrobe staples with some durable new items that I'll be able to wear for the next 20 years. It was so nice to be able to do this shopping confidently from the comfort of my home using the NR app on my phone, having access to the entire NR retail inventory, then having my items shipped for free to my local store for pick up (suck it, porch pirates!). If you do ship to store for pickup, skip the checkout line, and follow the big stickers on the floor paths that direct you to the Fitting Rooms for pickup. A team member will scan the code from your phone & go retrieve your items, which will be carefully packaged & wrinkle-free.

I usually try not to write bad reviews, but this was very concerning to me…read more Today, when I went to visit this location and attend a event there I asked to use the bathroom adjacent to the hockey ring. There were two security guards, a short one and a tall one. The short one was friendly and opened the door. Apparently they have locks on the bathroom doors now. The the second taller security guard named Joe, who I believe is autistic, FOLLOWED ME INTO THE BATHROOM. Without me realizing it, he was WATCHING ME PEE from behind waiting for me to finish. I thought he needed to use the urinal so I stepped aside as I was done. I went to wash my hands, HE THEN FLUSHED THE TOLIET for me as if I'm a five-year-old, not knowing what to do. I thought it was a joke. I think he was trying to keep the place very clean. Needless to say this is where it started to get creepy. As I was drying my hands, I joked with him about the heavy security, and what was he doing following me into the bathroom? He then in a stone cold almost robotic tone, asked me to leave the property that I was now trespassing. Now I came to this location for an event around the corner at that same location. There's multiple businesses here. There were no signs for my event. That's why I asked for directions and then I needed to use the bathroom. There is nothing outside the realm of weird in me doing any of this. I drive a nice vehicle, and I was properly dressed for the event. At that point, he began following me to the parking lot. I asked him "what are you doing, I am going to my event" he said you need to leave, I laughed, and I said yes trust me I am leaving. And he was also filming me with his phone. (who is this guy and who hired him?) and said he was calling the police on me. At this point, we had crossed into the world of weirdness and I asked him I need to see your superior. I mentioned this to the other security guard working who pretended to be his superior. He didn't think it was very big deal or outside the realm of strange. I'm a grown adult and this was bizarre. I'm not some homeless person. I was dressed nicely, and these two people were acting like I was some homeless person camping out in the bathroom I don't know who runs that place but both of the security guards need to be fired immediately. I felt very shaken up afterwards I have never been treated like that. There's no excuse. I can only imagine what travesty of justice actually happens here I wasn't shaken up because I done something wrong. I was shaken up because this 6' 5" autistic person has some role of authority, and he should not be working at this job whatsoever. He had no emotion when he spoke with me. I'm not kidding when I say he was like a robot. It was creepy. I was more worried for the women and children that attend the hockey ring next-door, and may have a similar experience with this nut job who again followed me into the bathroom and watched me pee and proceeded to tell me I was now trespassing after I was done. I've seen this before people buy a piece of property and then they have some management company who doesn't know what they're doing oversee and manage it. The actual owner of the businesses and property have no idea what really happens here If that's how this business operates, you need to sell your business it's not appropriate. This is Austin, Texas not California. We don't treat people like that here. I have nothing against autistic people, but in this case and point this gentleman should not have any authority. He should be bagging groceries and maybe not even working with the public.
