They have a curated selection that took me back to the days when all those concert t-shirts hanging on the racks in the store were worn to school on Monday after they were freshly purchased. I went in casually looking for a pair of Levi's 501 cut-offs. They didn't have any shirts, but DID have a killer selection of full length jeans and told me to try on a few and we can cut the chosen pair to perfection. The work began and Adam set me up with a few pairs and we kept trying til about the 4th pair and they were perfect. He advised that you just gotta keep trying but he is clearly looking out for bodies that come in a variety of shapes. So then we cut the jeans not once or twice but 3 times to make sure they were perfect. All the while, the patience and attention to detail was so naturally executed that it's very clear they only want you to find the right gear and are exceptionally good at helping you do that. He even taught me how to fray a hem and how to cut shorts. Where do you even run into people anymore who care more about your experience than your money?! Here, you do. To top it off the prices are VERY reasonable!!! I love my new shorts and will be back for jeans this winter and will stop by when I'm in the area just to climb aboard the Time Machine that takes me back to my youth! They also have a store on Congress but I prefer less traffic so this is perfect. Thanks y'all!!!

Charm School Vintage is one of my favorite stores in our neighborhood…read more They've carefully curated vintage pieces with western flair (clothing, jewelry, etc). In addition, you'll be able to find items from various eras as far back as the 30s through the 70s. I've seen some stuff there even older than the 30s. Everything is of exceptional quality and condition. Not only do they sell but they buy as well. If you've got vintage wear you'd like to get rid of, try them. They give cash or credit for things they'll buy from folks. As with most stores like this, you'll get more in store credit for your stuff. Fun fact: they've also got a location in Waco.

With a contrast of muted colors at the next-door boutique, Charm School Vintage is full of color, textures, and flavor chic. According the store manager, each piece in the shop is purchased directly and not on consignment. One rack is white to off-white bohemian chick pieces. While all clothing is vintage, there are a few modern items such as journals. The store manager was super friendly and made me feel I was the only one in the store. This was the perfect spot for anyone who loves fashion with a bit of spice. Prices are in a rather broad range - from inexpensive amount to a bit pricey.

Should've gone for another tattoo instead. But I digress. This was my third and final visit. Each time I've come in, it's been clear I'm not welcome--neither I nor my money, apparently. My first visit was after dinner at Santa Rita, my usual post-work go-to. I'd been curious about your boutique--since you can't see into the store from the street--and I'm not one to judge a book by its cover (a little something I suggest we all try). I was completely ignored by the cashier, but I brushed it off. The second time, I brought a friend. While your clothing isn't quite my style, I'd noticed a few charming pieces and thought she might enjoy them. Someone did come outside to greet us and mention more items inside, which was a refreshing change. My friend even returned on her own later and had a good experience. Today, I stopped in again--not for myself, but because I have a sparkly, pink-loving, Kendra Scott-type friend with a birthday coming up, and your store felt like the perfect match. Once again, I came in after work and was met with a flat, unbothered "hi..." from the girl in the green dress, who immediately turned back to her conversation with the woman behind the counter. I browsed quietly, giving the benefit of the doubt--again--while they carried on, clearly uninterested. Another woman walked in and was promptly helped--likely because she matched the aesthetic. I, in contrast, was overlooked entirely. When I walked out, the same girl, parked in front of the counter like an immobile house pet with selective vision, actively avoided eye contact and said nothing. No goodbye, no thanks, not even a glance. Message received. Maybe it was the tattoos. Maybe the black clothing. Maybe just the assumption that I wouldn't be spending anything. Wild, considering I had every reason to judge her in that pretend "old money" dress--but didn't, and that's beside the point. You've lost a customer, and the referrals I was more than happy to send your way (most of which do actually fit your aesthetic). Still, I genuinely hope the shop survives--though with a hidden location, zero visibility from the street, and an overwhelming number of sale tags (which tracks--$50 for matches?), I wouldn't bet on it. Signed, Less impressed with you than you clearly were with me. P.S. While it's disheartening, it is not at all surprising to see other reviews echoing the same complaint: poor, unwelcoming service. You can defend your staff's "intentions" all day, but in the real world, actions are what matter. Do better, babes. Longevity doesn't mean relevance--it just means someone's still footing the bill.
