I love this store so much because of the beautiful and unique items. Fran the owner of the store makes my experience pure joy from the moment I walk in. I feel welcomed immediately. I will go out of my way to shop there because I always find just the right thing and I always feel happy when I leave. This store is a beloved pillar of the Elgin community. However, the time of the play and the hours of this store did not match that day. Interesting, strange, one of a kind items are here. If you visit, be sure to look up! I did have to buy an Edgar Allen Poe pill box before leaving. I was the only person in the shop and I would have stayed longer but I couldn't stand the music any longer. I stopped here to get a watch battery replaced. I'd never been to this store before and have always…read morewanted to stop by - this was my chance. There was someone there already getting a watch battery replaced. So, while waiting, I walked around admiring their clocks and watches. They have quite a selection - great if you need a nice clock for yourself or as a gift. I took some pictures and a short video and posted them for you to see. When it was my turn, he took the watch and went in the back. It didn't take much more than five minutes for him to return with the watch working again! And the price was very reasonable, under $20. Fun store with good service.
