Although I don't live in Illinois any longer, I used to visit this lovely shop in Geneva every once in awhile. A friend of mine who is on a spiritual journey just asked me for a reference to a place that would align with her likes. I pointed her to Crystal life technology even though she lives in Chicago. It is a hike for those in the city but this is a wonderful bookstore. The owner has written several books of her own that I tell people to find on Amazon. Always a lot of good merchandise at reasonable prices. read more

Super sweet holistic shop. Every time I am in town I swing by and always end up picking something up. Their bountiful selection allows you to really grow and personalize as you see fit. The shop also contains numerous booklets to help educate you on some practices (such as sound healing). I had a necklace made here before and it the service was great. Now, I'm sure most people are not visiting this place for the same reason I do. They have a wonderful collection of crystals and stones, nice jewelry, but me, I like to stand in the front and play with the wind chimes. The tones of the wind chimes are most melodious. I loooooooooooove wind chimes and this particular brand is music to one's ears, I believe it is Corinthian, sold by scale. They are beautiful to listen to. They can get pricey depending on the size. Lovely 'rock store' on north end of Geneva's shopping district - conveniently located by Starbucks. If you like stones/rocks - it's a great place to stop by and browse. You can find fun inexpensive gifts - for example, a heart shaped rock in a velvet bag for Valentines, or a Christmas stocking. I would say the feel of the store is serious - if that makes sense. What I mean is - while I might say it's a stone/rock store, I suspect the owners perception of what it is, is much more. They provide classes and tools for things like sacred geometry, and other spiritual paths - so it's interesting to poke around and learn a bit about things that you may not come across in a typical store. They do a nice job of merchandising, in a bright and airy feeling store. I think it's worth a walk thru, and maybe you'll find a polished stone that speaks to you for some reason. I have been in the store a few times and found the jewelry to be reasonably priced but most other items overpriced. I ordered a few items online and gifted one (a pendant) 5 months later. The amber pendant came off of it's setting as it was being removed from the card it was wired to and would not go back in, the fit was not right. I emailed this merchant and they wrote back that they have a 90-day policy. I would prefer to buy from a merchant who stands behind their product and would have the pride to replace/repair an obviously defective piece. I would give this store a 0 if I could. Even the energy of the lovely crystals cannot remove the negative energy of the people that suspiciously watch you shop in an eerily quiet store. read more

I love this place! I just moved to the state, I was driving around, exploring the area, thinking I wanted to find somewhere like this but couldn't find any on Google that I was interested in. I just randomly drove past it, and was so excited when I saw it! The vibe I got here when I walked in was immediately a good one. They said hello, but didn't pressure me to buy anything or stare at me as I looked at all their goodies. There was a man in there talking about an incredible "spiritual awakening" that he had, which was fun to listen to as I walked around lol. I ended up buying a Smokey quartz and an amethyst to add to my collection. The prices are very reasonable. Especially for Geneva. I'm happy I stopped in! read more

Unfortunately very disappointed with our last visit. My boyfriend and I come in all the time to grow our crystal collection and check out the selection. Last time we were in, my boyfriend asked the older gentlemen ( not sure of his name) if there were any stones that could help him with his chronic back pain. Easy question right? The guy said "I don't know what you're talking about" in a VERY rude tone and walked away. My boyfriend came back over to me visibly distraught and asked if we could just leave. Crystal stores are meant to be a place for tranquility and acceptance and we experienced the complete opposite. Crystal Life is a gem of a store found in the Fox River Valley town of Geneva. Whether you are beginning to learn about subtle energy, or have many years of experience, their very knowledgable staff is pleasant and very willing to assist you in finding the perfect piece for your needs. I love their Saturday morning classes, and their outreach groups. They seem to have a small selection of books, but what they do have invites in different levels of consciousness growth. Nothing controversial, most every thing at Crystal Life is based on providing you the information, and empowering your own personal journey on the spiritual path. I've read that others think their malas/prayer beads are pricey, but I have to say my experience is that their knotting is superior to other malas that I have purchased and have already fallen apart. I especially love my amethyst 108 count prayer bead/mala. The stones are of exquisite quality, and have a very nice energy. After inquiring I found that all of their bead work is done by local energy workers, these aren't pieces created overseas. These products support the local economy, making them worth the price for their quality, workmanship, and contribution to the job situation in my locality. The stones are nicely cleared and have very high vibrational levels. Their staff is comprised of different modalities/different types of energy workers so depending on the day you visit you may be working with a Reiki Master, a Native American Shaman, or someone else with an equally interesting education/background. read more

The owners (or at least I presumed they were the owners) were very nice. This shop has a diverse selection of stones, crystals, jewelry, books, CDs, totems, labyrinths, smudging supplies, wall hangings and decor, shamanism goods, mala beads, incense, and other delightful items. CLT has a really nice selection of stones, minerals and rocks to chose from. A few years ago I came in and asked the owner to help ID a mineral, which she was helpful with. I like their broad selection but prices have gone up quite a bit in the past couple years. I'll drop a few bucks on the cheap thrill minerals for my son, but if I wanted a nice piece I'd go with Ebay to get a much better deal. read more

I can only offer a brief review of this store, because it is a wonderland of crystals and stones. Why brief, you may ask? It's because I am very sensitive to the energy of crystals, and after about 5 minutes, I am overpowered and have to step outside. But in my two brief visits, interspersed with rest stops on the sidewalk in front, I saw a wonderland of crystals, books, jewelry, and divination tools. Crystal Life Technology offers items for the experienced (me) and the novice (also me), beautifully displayed and easy to understand. If you have questions, the staff is knowledgeable and more than willing to explain. One thing I found here, that I have never seen anywhere else, is a well-written explanation of sacred geometry. Although I've heard about that for years, I've never really understood what it meant. Crystal Life Technology gave me a small brochure on the subject, which I still have. You can buy crystals and stones here just because they are pretty, or because you want to take advantage of their energetic properties. The staff is not overbearing. This really is a beautiful and, for its size, complete little shop. Firstly, I would like to say that this shop is beautiful and I have recommended friends & family to visit. It is for this reason that I am a bit heart broken. On New Year's Day, January 2, I came in looking for new Crystals & jewelry for myself & some gifts for loved ones. I came upon a section marked off as Citrine. Personally I never knew anything about this crystal, but upon reading the description I thought it would be a wonderful gift. I bought it, took it home & began looking for more information about the crystal since I wanted I to be more informed, so I can share it when I gifted it. This is where the issue came, now I am not well rounded in this world of stones and crystals as I am a beginner. However, upon looking up this Citrine Crystal's information, what I found made me upset. I won't get too deep into, but basically the Crystal isn't "real" Citrine. (Feel free to search information about fake citrine, baked citrine or heat-treated amethyst to make your own assumptions) Obviously, you can seek the information and bring upon your own conclusions and opinions. So, I personally felt a bit betrayed since I bought it with the intention to gift it for its description just to find out it wasn't entirely true. This made me uncomfortable to gift, since I would be gifting "a beautiful lie". So, I made the decision to return it. Unfortunately, I did not have the receipt, so I knew that I may not get my money back, which was ok because I was still willing to get store credit. Either way, they did let me know they usually don't take back crystals, only jewelry-which also has crystals and stones, so I'm not sure what difference lies there- but I was told by a worker from the store that Crystals themselves usually are not able to be returned because they don't know what people do with them. They mentioned about possible negative energy, which is something I understand. I get that you'd like to keep your store cleansed. But then they began talking to me about the Crystal; its description, how beautiful it is and what upsets me the most is that they persuaded me into keeping it, which made me upset because after a long research I came to the conclusion that it was not "authentic". This experience made me question their integrity, the authenticity of their products and the poor information the store workers have about many of the items. Now, I am not here to say that the store workers nor the store may even know about this nor believe it the same way I do. For all I know they are not aware of it at all and I wasn't going to start this debate because it was obvious that they were not going to take the Crystal back as I did not have the receipt, even tho the purchase was made on my card, had the date of the transaction and their inventory-barcode. They did not try to make the effort to look into it, so I just parted my ways. I am taking this as a life lesson, but l do advise others to look up more information when buying certain items, specially Crystals. I understand some may not care and say it's only a "rock" but based on how well spoken they are and how informed the store is, they should also reflect the same values with their products. It's a little heartbreaking when you find out these things, it honestly isn't about the money ($16) because money comes and goes. I am just a little weary about how a store that is well establish would sell an item that is fake marketed as "real". You live & you learn. read more

Be careful in ordering from here. I ordered an amethyst dangling pendant which was quite nice until it broke in pieces less than a week after receiving it. When I approached Crystal Life they said they would repair it for a cost of $6.00 plus I would need to pay the return shipping. Those two expenses added together are almost what I paid for the item. Update: so I was looking at the reviews and I'm correct! If you aren't white, you're followed around! This is disgusting!! I used to love this place but after friday's experience I would give it a ZERO if I could! The older gentleman kept following me, hovering over me and made me feel terrible. I couldn't even concentrate on shopping because everywhere I went, there he was! He even ignored other customers questions because he was watching me. I have been into this store a few times now and have absolutely loved it! There is a really kind, calm atmosphere about the store, and all of the workers are incredibly helpful! I have loved every single thing I have bought from there - high quality products sold by some high quality people :) I knew absolutely nothing about crystals the first time I went in, and as I was browsing a worker taught me about what each thing I was looking at does/represents. I've always loved this shop and have purchased many stones here. However during my last visit, the employees acted very suspicious about my boyfriend and my presence. I immediately felt unwelcomed and uncomfortable. At one point, I had picked a product to purchase but after the very unwelcoming vibes, I decided to put it back. I then thanked them for having us and started walking out, when one of the employees had questioned me about stealing the product. This was so uncomfortable for me because I am so against stealing that the fact that I was being accused of it just made me feel really bad. The whole reason I kept coming back to this shop is for those postive energies; and for being a store that revolves around positive energies, I felt only negative ones. I stumbled upon this unique store in Geneva, Illinois while I was in town visiting friends. Upon entering, I was greeted by two of the employees that were excited to offer help if needed. I came across two bracelets that really caught my eye and was informed that they were a couple of their limited edition stretch bracelets of Lepidolite and Kunzite. After showing the interest in the bracelets, I was informed that they were made by one of Crystal Life's very own crafters, Cloë. The bracelets have such durability and are made with respect involving each crystal. Needless to say, I did not leave empty handed!
