The team took the time to listen to my goals, draft options, and carefully explain the how, when, and why of each planting and hardscape design element. I had them take the project on from start to finish and I could not be more pleased with results. The challenge of staying within my budget and transforming my outdoor living space was not easy, but the team really sculpted solutions for each unique area and kept the elements I wished to have exist in the new look as well as introduced new ideas and plantings that compliment our home and lot. They utilize very solid contractors and understand the needs of the homeowners through the process of building with frequent check-ins and schedule updates. Mountain High killed a third of our landscape plants by pruning them nearly to stumps. Owner or manager Charlotte then blamed "lack of water" (nonsense, we have a daily watering system). She blamed tuck-pointing, which happened ten years before the shrubs were mis-pruned and killed. Then she blamed a non-existent "construction crew". When called on this and politely asked if they would replace the plants, she responded with a long rambling email attacking me (President of the HOA) personally and telling lie after lie. And suddenly refusing to provide gardening service to the building anymore, giving us no advance notice. This is beneath unprofessional. Her "crew" consists of two derelicts who blow the leaves around for a couple minutes and leave. Mountain High is a sham and a scam. Avoid.

I emailed and requested the area not be touched. Upon the next service, I made sure to go out and reiterate that the area should not be touched and the landscaper confirmed he understood what I was saying. I came out later that day and the area had been disturbed and 90% of the existing seedlings were gone. In addition to not being responsive and damaging property, the service is inconsistent and not a good value for the cost. One week they will clean off the deck and then the next they won't. Bare minimum level of service. ~$120 for a about a half hour service with 2 guys.

Sometimes nature and plants have a mind of their own, so I believe you need to keep that in mind. Something small could go wrong, by no fault of the company. They really care.

This review is especially for Mathew, whose attention to detail and quality bar when it comes to maintaining the yard is second to none. We hired him and his colleague because he did such a fantastic job on our neighbor's yard and even helped tidy up the small strip of our yard next to our neighbor with the massive pine cones, so that's when we knew we had to officially hire this company and have him come do our yard bi-weekly! Here's the bad: They've gotten very expensive at $55 per hour per gardener and require a one year contract. Your lead/contact gardener will NOT be on site while work is done. You will see gardeners on their phones while working one-handed. We have a hydrangea that borders on our neighbor's garden. The PPNW gardeners chose to prune only half of it leaving it weird looking and incomplete. Why they didn't knock on the door or call to ask if it was okay to prune the whole thing is a question unanswered by owner Shannon. Instead, she chose to cut off service to us as she felt it was rude of us to ask.
