Nice store, but they won't sell ammo to non NH residents. I didn't want to buy a pallet of it, just a few boxes but was refused. This is unfortunate. Other stores in NH don't have this policy. read more

Only been the the Nashua secondary store, so this is a review for this, with the understanding that the main store is 10x the content and quality. The Nashua store looks like a classic mid-size New England gun shop, but with modern storage and shelves, a very decent collection of firearms and friendly staff. They might not be necessarily the most knowledgeable, but at least they acknowledge their customers, try to answer questions and have a good attitude. This is all I ask of a gun store or any store in general. Shooters Outpost looks and behaves like a real business, which is refreshing when you compare to most of the small dingy gun shops in New England whose motive doesn't seem to be in business for very long or at all read more

Both locations are awesome. The Hookset store is the largest of the two but they are both awesome. They stock the shelves every day. Got a question on ammo? Call and they will answer your questions. When you go to Hookset and see the line out to the street, you know they are doing something right. Huge selection of so many firearms related accessories, guns, rifles, ammo. You have to stop at either of the two locations. I like both and really bi-monthly visit depends on where I am at the time. The staff are the best here. I have never had an issue and they are always very helpful. It seems as if the staff enjoy their job and so that's a good indicator of how the business is run. I highly recommend you come to either location for your needs. read more

Unlike some other retailers in NH, they will not sell " high capacity" magazines if you're from out of state. Their ammo prices are expensive, and the staff wasn't very friendly. read more

We visited this new store during their soft opening a few weeks ago. Very clean and impressive layout. The staff greeted every person who came in the door and were quite helpful when I was just looking around. I did buy some ammo, and we will be back! Now that we are NH residents and live in the area, I expect to do more of our shopping here or the Hooksett store. read more

Went in to browse and found a fine rifle to inspect and possibly purchase. The staff was willing and able to assist but offered really poor advice on the specific chambering. I noted the NATO 7.62 chambering on the barrel and remarked that I was looking for a 308. This is where the poor advice comes into play. They specifically told me I was fine to shoot 308 in the 7.62 chambering...can you? Yes. But it is NOT recommended. The casings have the same outer dimensions but the 308 has thinner inner dimensions allowing for more powder and hotter loads. You SHOULD NOT shoot 308 in the 7.62 NATO chambering. Anyone that tells you otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about-and that means you too old man who felt like you needed to open your trap. You absolutely can shoot the 7.62 NATO in the 308 since it's a smaller load with less pressure. Just not the other way around. This is different from the .223 and 5.56 NATO where you can shoot a .223 in a 5.56 but not a 5.56 in a .223 read more

Not very impressed. Very, very small. Didn't have my ammo and had little selection of most stuff. Nothing like the Hooksett branch. I honestly wouldn't waste my time stopping here, just keep trucking on over to Hooksett up 101. The guy at the counter couldn't give two hoots about customer service. I saw a Sig Exeter in a case (which was half empty) and asked him what it was. "It's a Sig with some custom stuff". Wow. That's helpful. Cleared it right up for me. So I ask "Like a Legion?". And he responds: "No." That's it. No more info. You might have had a sale bub. All you needed to do was act like your job description says you're supposed to act. You would think that they would try harder since they're a smaller shop. Very disappointed because I work just down the road. So I guess I'll just have to detour to Hooksett on the way home when I need to pick up some necessities. read more

I pop in when I can, but last time I was in the Amherst location, I watched the last box of 9mm get picked up while I was getting cleared for my new M&P. A gentleman walked in and asked an employee if they had 9mm. The employee turned to the shelf and saw it was empty. "Unfortunately we just ran out". The man had said he had just called and it was in stock. Without skipping a beat, the gentleman who picked up the last box, turned to this person and asked him if he was looking for 9mm... he said yes and the man handed him what was the last box. I was blown away by the generosity of this stranger. These are your patrons and if this is the customer base you are attracting, it is obvious that the culture in your organization is top notch. However, his wife is equally rude and abrasive, so who knows. I was in the shop recently and asked if he had a less common type of ammunition. He said, "Yeah, I got a pallet of it in the back room". I ended up finding a box of this rarer type of pistol ammunition at another nearby shop for a very good price. There are two other very good shops nearby. They greet you properly and want to sell you what you need. They have never been rude to me as the fellow at the GunRunners 1019 was. I doubt I will return to this location, since the owner does not seem to want or require my business.

They recently changed their rules regarding cosignment. There's more to it, but a few key things to…read morenote is 1) The 18.5% they took went up to 22%. 2) You no longer pick the price. They look it up and give you a number. For me, it was 80% of what the firearm was going used for online. So I should've been able to sell it there for $525, but they told me $425. 3) If you tell them you want to cosign, they look up the serial, look up the price, and you do not like the price and tell them you're not interested, then they charge you $10 for "doing the research". I hope Nashua's Granite State range is still a good place for cosignment. I haven't gone there yet. It was such a great option at Shooter's. Myself and a bunch of my friends had cosigned multiple firearms through them in the last couple of years. It used to be a great experience.

They also knew their business when it came to archery other than the compound bow mania that modern bow hunters and archery target shooters suffer from. I needed some arrows for traditional archery and they made up some for me on the spot. The price was quite reasonable. I have found a new favorite shop for my archery needs and maybe for shotgun season as well. I ordered some arrows from a shop in Southeast, NH and I am still waiting some three weeks later!

TCS is a very small shop just over the border from MA in Nashua NH. They have a modest selection…read moreof new and used handguns, rifles and shotguns (and ammo). You can see their stock on their website, which seems to be kept up to date. They also have relationships with shops in MA, so obviously for handguns MA residents will have to take possession at an FFL in MA. The real reason to get excited about TCS is the owner Mike, who seems to be the only employee. He will go above and beyond to help you acquire what you are looking for, and is especially knowledgeable about MA's confusing gun laws and helping MA residents navigate them (the shop used to be located in MA, and he still lives there). For example, if you want XXX, but with modifications to make it legal in MA, he's your man. I trust his opinion as far as I trust anyone's about interpreting the laws. Well worth a 30 min drive from Burlington MA on a Saturday morning, particularly if you've chatted with him about your needs by email first. I usually get there when he opens, so have never had to deal with multiple customers in the shop at the same time. Ample parking in front (they are located to the very rear corner of the right side of the complex as you drive in.

I recently found Shooters in Amherst and was pleasantly surprised. I was looking for a difficult to find handgun and discussed the topic with the people at Shooters. To my surprise, they were actually able to help me get the handgun at a reasonable price. I was surprised because other shops were selling the same firearm on an auction site for significantly more. In addition to being really helpful, the prices are really good, and the store is clean/not cluttered. I've also been to the Hookset location to purchase reloading supplies. The store is huge and the selection / prices were great. They even have a significant selection of reloading equipment. Most shops just don't have the space to stock this type of equipment and quantity of supplies. It's really nice to just be able to get supplies and not paying the crazy shipping fee addons required during an online purchase. The experiences from both stores was really pleasant and I will continue shop here. read more

I recently moved to NH from another state... I stopped into Shooters Outpost to ask a few questions about state laws and regulations. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door, I went to the counter and an employee stopped what he was doing and took the time to speak with me and answer all of my questions. I've since shopped at Shooters for all my firearms needs. I had purchased a special firearm online and had to shipped to Shooters for the transfer. when it arrived they called me before the tracking even updated and assured me it had made it and that I could come in to complete the transfer. During the transfer the NICS check was taking a bit longer than expected... the gentleman made it a point to to call back again to make sure they had all the information correct on their end (which they didnt...) doing this he made the NICS check results come back quicker and was able to get me out of there faster. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

As Shooters Outpost newest location I was fortunate enough to make it to opening week find a very well-stocked store just like the Hooksett store. Matt the manager was super friendly and knowledgeable as we're all the other employees there, having a surplus area was a pretty cool experience found some cool items there. I've made it one of my regular stops along with the Hooksett store, 2 very same but unique locations. As with Hooksett we cannot find a place with better customer service someone's always asking you if they can help you out. Keep up the good work who knows maybe a third location someday. read more

Shooters Outpost in Amherst on 101A is a fantastic place! They have a great selection of firearms, I bought my Smith&Wesson 9mm and Ruger Mark 3 there. The staff is very friendly and HELPFUL. I also consigned my Walthers there and was very pleased how much they sold it for. They are our "go to" for targets and ammo and my husband has also purchased firearms there. We highly recommend the Amherst Shooters Outpost. We are happy customers! Love how friendly all the staff is at the Amherst location, they've been patient with me throughout my journey into this new adventure of mine. Prices are hard to beat, staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly. If they dont have the answer to your questions they will find it, hard to find service like that these days. Location is very easy to find and only a short trip from nashua. I will continue to shop here. Hard to beat! read more

I stopped into Amherst today and bought Electronic Hearing protection and scored some Defense 9MM Ammo which wasn't available at another store I had checked on the way to the Range.... Great Service, Good Prices and the Employees know exactly where things are. read more

Creating arbitrary policies that restrict legal customers from purchasing items is Bad Business. Requiring Customers to use chemicals on their body upon entering the store, Bad Business. Find another business that doesn't treat you like a criminal. read more

Both stores, Amherst and Hooksett have a great knowledgeable and friendly staff. If a staff member isn't sure on an answer, they find somebody who could better answer your question. Always seem to find a good deal on something in store. read more
