The Nashua store looks like a classic mid-size New England gun shop, but with modern storage and shelves, a very decent collection of firearms and friendly staff. They might not be necessarily the most knowledgeable, but at least they acknowledge their customers, try to answer questions and have a good attitude. This is all I ask of a gun store or any store in general. Shooters Outpost looks and behaves like a real business, which is refreshing when you compare to most of the small dingy gun shops in New England whose motive doesn't seem to be in business for very long or at all

However, his wife is equally rude and abrasive, so who knows. I was in the shop recently and asked if he had a less common type of ammunition. He said, "Yeah, I got a pallet of it in the back room". I ended up finding a box of this rarer type of pistol ammunition at another nearby shop for a very good price. There are two other very good shops nearby. They greet you properly and want to sell you what you need. They have never been rude to me as the fellow at the GunRunners 1019 was. I doubt I will return to this location, since the owner does not seem to want or require my business.

If you're looking for a hard to find firearm, chances are they have it, and probably more than one. SIG, Springfield, S&W, you name it, they have it. If you need some technical advice on upgrades or tinkering, or spare parts of all sorts, this is definitely a place to go to soak up the knowledge as we're not talking to polished sales people, but rather true gun enthusiasts with expertise, willing to share that knowledge and make you a more educated gun owner. Only minor drawback, and this isn't really an issue but more something to be aware of: MF doesn't accept AMEX.

$15 FFL transfers!!…read more I'll say it again because that needs to be emphasized: it only costs $15 for a FFL transfer. That's a massive savings over just about everyone else in the area. He beats some dealers by $50 - one of the only affordable dealers around. Chuck Mears runs an excellent FFL transfer service and he said that most of his business consists of transfers (think internet purchases). If you are in the southern NH region and looking to buy a gun that you've found online Chuck is your guy. All you do is order the firearm and it's shipped to Chuck, he fills out the paperwork, and for $15 the firearm is legally yours - it's that simple. Again, its only a $15 barrier between whatever you see on the internet and it sitting in your safe. Excellent deal, and excellent service. Very highly recommended.

He will go out of his way to help you find what you are looking for. They keep their prices very competitive, he doesn't price gouge nor charge different pricing for credit card vs cash unlike majority of other dealers. There is also no sales tax, MA friendly and he keeps to the law and keeps updated even with MA law though being a NH FFL now. I've done business with him and would do so again in a heartbeat. His website you can checkout inventory, call the shop and even submit an application for a cash quote on any firearms you may want to move but don't care to do it on your own-- you can sell to them if you agree to the price. TCS is a very small shop just over the border from MA in Nashua NH. They have a modest selection…read moreof new and used handguns, rifles and shotguns (and ammo). You can see their stock on their website, which seems to be kept up to date. They also have relationships with shops in MA, so obviously for handguns MA residents will have to take possession at an FFL in MA. The real reason to get excited about TCS is the owner Mike, who seems to be the only employee. He will go above and beyond to help you acquire what you are looking for, and is especially knowledgeable about MA's confusing gun laws and helping MA residents navigate them (the shop used to be located in MA, and he still lives there). For example, if you want XXX, but with modifications to make it legal in MA, he's your man. I trust his opinion as far as I trust anyone's about interpreting the laws. Well worth a 30 min drive from Burlington MA on a Saturday morning, particularly if you've chatted with him about your needs by email first. I usually get there when he opens, so have never had to deal with multiple customers in the shop at the same time. Ample parking in front (they are located to the very rear corner of the right side of the complex as you drive in.
