I went into this business during covid only to find them allowing "consignment" sales of ammunition at anywhere from 200-1000% markup over retail prices at other locations during the same time frame. The shop owner is well known to be ignorant of what he can and can not do legally, and will happily confiscate your legally owned firearm should he decide you shouldn't possess said firearm. Whatever you do, don't let these people handle your firearm. You might not get it back! read more

Not only do they sell guns, but they also take and store them for you as well. Whether you want them to or not. They're also expanding out in clothing. Right now for the winter months they have some decent coats, but the only color they had when I went in was red. Just wasn't my color. read more

Well they had ammo. It's so upsetting that you guys see the crazy times we are all in. The struggle, the loss of jobs or whatever else because of the pandemic. Won't even comment on that. You decide to reload ammo with a not so good grn and sell 20 rounds for $50!!! Price gouging in bad times. I got 60 rounds of 308 for $170 that is crazy. Not brand new name brand high grn. You guys should be ashamed! You live in this community. You have lost my business for sure. As a community we should stick together. Upcoming food shortage will be hard on so many people all around NM. read more

Shooters Den Albuquerque - Box of ammo - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Permanently closed, went to go buy some ammunition and was turned away as they are changing into a wig store , no longer shooters den

went there looking for help about optics for a firearm, I'm a beginner, the owner was acting super cocky and bossy, my mistake was that I wanted to support local businesses, anyways, he sold me a red dot, apparently good quality, "for the price " so beacuse of my ignorance I end up buying a $97 red dot , just to find out later on internet that the same red dot msrp is $32 , I understand that they have to make profit , but triple of the price? (literally) , nobody force me to buy it but still I don't think that is not fair, anyways I shoud have look for the reviews of this place before I went , there actually too bad and now I know why, taking Advantage of people who is not familiar with firearms. Zero recommend. read more

Great shop with great customer service. A bit pricy but I'm down to support local businesses.

Neither employee was interested in getting off their butts to do anything. Obviously not interested in sales. Babysitting a store, but nothing else. Prices were high. Argued that I couldn't get a part for a gun; and I already had it. I just was wondering if they had a gunsmith. They recommended Calibers, but didn't know who to ask for there. To me, the place, appearance wise looked "plain"... certainly doesn't speak to the customers interest. The employees didn't want to speak at all. And certainly had no helpful answers. Had never been there before.... and will never need to go back there, either. Even one star is too much. read more

These guys have been price gouging since the pandemic started. On top of that, they're rude and arrogant. There is plenty of other companies who have better prices and are simply more courteous. I don't recommend them. I'm surprised they're still open. read more

Overpriced & knowledge of firearms were slim to none. I recommend other local establishments such as Los Ranchos Gun Shop & BMC Tactical. read more

Really down to Earth help here. A former Marine who was knowledgeable, kind, great sense of humor. Made us feel comfortable straight away. Been in several other local stores and none of them gave us the service that this guy does here at the Shooters Den. Professional and personable. Pricing reasonable. read more

An excellent place to come shop! A huge variety of reps, Ammo, optics, and accessories! The crew there is extremely professional and knowledgeable! Competitive prices without the feeling you're being watched the whole time or intruding on their time by trying to spend your money. Highly recommend Shooter's Den! They've been around for a long time for a reason! read more

The prices at this place suck ass. Shop elsewhere. Easily 2x what they are online. Selection is limited. Ammo over $1 a round in 2021. Get with it. read more

The whole crew at Shooters Den are masters in their line of work. With everything going on in the world now a days I really feel like I'm in good hands when visiting this location. Tony is great with satefy and functionality of weapons. Whether it be a semi automatic rifle or a handgun I need it to work when that time comes. He has worked on all of my fire arms and they all perform wonderfully. The ammo is fairly priced and of high quality. Thanks Shooter Den! read more

Grossly overpriced by almost 20% above retail for guns anyplace else. I actually snickered out loud after seeing two guns I purchased recently listed for 100.00 more than what I paid for both guns. (Sig P365 and S&W Shield M2.0) read more

They're price gouging on ammo. It's sad that they're taking advantage of the current situation.

The absolute worst local firearms store in the city. They price gouge everything they have. Currently charging $29.99 for a box of 20 rounds of 5.56. Absolutely nuts. Shop anywhere but here. Even the big box stores have better prices. read more

Shooters Den had the parts in stock to get my hardware running correctly. Repeat customer. Thanks!

I wouldn't give these guys business when you purchase something from them for a firearm they tell you there's a free installation but they keep your old parts from your gun they took off and don't even bother asking if you want it back? Never spending another dollar here again. Won't even bring nothing to their shop.....very unsatisfied not to mention they tell you one price one day the next day the price goes up $10 for his Convenience read more

The owner is is dishonest, shop elsewhere. If you click "lowest reviews" many others have complained. But for some reason google is only showing positive in "most relevant." The owner's response to negative reviews are generally sarcastic. I'll expect the same. This is exactly my experience at Shooters Den: The ammo i was interested in seemed expensive. I asked the owner, who was all smiles, why it was so expensive though I knew ammo is more costly a little bit nowadays. He said supply and demand. Not knowing the pricing in ABQ, I asked several times if he would just be honest and let me know if I'd find this ammo half the price down the street before I bought it..He said absolutely not. The ammo was on consignment (but new). I bought 2 boxes for $140 inc tax. Went to my car and called a gun store 3 miles away and found it was half the price. Went back in the Shooters Den told the owner who of course said no returns even though it was just 10 minutes after I purchased it. He's local and I just assumed he'd level with me for the small amount of dollars involved. Certainly owner will have a negative response to this, but these are the true facts. Go somewhere else, the owner is dishonest. read more

The employee there was condescending and scoffed at me for asking about surplus guns and ammo. He was not very knowledge about ammunition or historical firearms. He told me,"it's 2018 bro! What are you going to ask me about mosins next?" Apart from that, there was not a large inventory in the store and the prices were a little high compared to other venders. I recommend going to Ron Peterson's on central instead. In addition to having better inventory, Ron Peterson's has a much more knowledgeable staff and indeed they do have mosin-nagants. read more

Pretty friendly place to be. Manager is very knowledgeable about what to sell and couldn't be anymore helpful. Recommend. Approved

New to ABQ and searching for a shop or two as my go to places. This shop was nice in that they are well stocked in both firearms and ammo, both new and used. Prices seemed OK. Star rating is based on my interaction with staff; no acknowledgment I was there during my 5 minutes visit except for "Need any help?" as I started toward the door. read more

Came to shooters den in search of a hand gun, they had a nice selection of new and used. The staff were very nice and knew there stuff. There prices were dead on..This will be one of my go to places. read more

This is my favorite place to go for ammo. They usually have everything I need in stock from 9mm to 38 rounds, to even 357. They are very helpful and have given me great advice on different hand guns. The only reason I would go anywhere else is if they don't have what I need in stock, and that is very, very rarely. read more

They have no manners! Years ago, I brought several guns from them. Today, I would not even walk in the store. On the phone, they call customers "Bud", instead of Sir or Mam! Not very knowledgeable about guns or ammunition. I am a former LE. read more

I'm not sure who Marc is but I can assure you that the staff of shooter's den is very professional. How someone can say a gun store is a bait and switch operation is beyond me. They have been in business for over 27 yrs under wonderful local ownership. The staff is 100%veteran and the store offers a discount for all veterans, active dutyand, law enforcement on everything in the store. Did I mention the awesome Website www.shootersden.info read more

Great shop staff is amazing and very helpful every time I go I feel welcomed I don't see why you guys complain about this place maybe it was different people who worked in the shop at some point idk I've been here for 2 months and each time I go it's awesome great fire arms at reasonable prices when you want some work done on a riffle if it's not busy they knock it out fast I'm a loyal customer my go to shop for anything dealing with firearms getting my ar-47 decked out and I love the the suggestions they give me and the attachments they have for my riffle I go big lol so Im spending a pretty penny and so what if the prices are Lil more it's a mom and pop and I'll support because of how awesome the guys are up there if you are cheap then go somewhere else I think there prices are reasonable especially if I'm saving gas not having to drive to the other side of town anyway I would recommend going to these guys they know there stuff and friendly and there to help just ask don't act like you know if you don't !!!! read more

I have shopped at shooter's den for 20 years. They have good selection of ammo at fair prices. They also carry some part & accessories. Staff is very knowledgeable & helpful. read more

It didn't seem to me all the employees were on the same page. I was told different dates of arrival. I was told they would overnight, but arrived in the store to be told they didn't have the shipping option I was told. No two employees had the same answer to the same questions. Very disappointed in their lack of professionalism. Had I know it would be a bait and switch I would have cancelled my order then went with Omni Arms like I originally intended. I wouldn't buy a firearm from Shooters Den again if Isis was kicking down my door, and all I had was a stick. read more

I am an avid supporter of the Second Amendment, so a good place to purchase items needed for self-defense, home-defense etc. is crucial. I bought my first weapon at Shooters Den back in 1988. Every other weapon I have purchased in my life has come from Shooters Den. I have gone to other gun stores in the Albuquerque area, and find that the people behind the counter are generally rude to you if they do not know you, try to sell you the most expensive items they can, and do not listen to what you tell them as far as your personal needs or preferences are. The people at Shooters Den are not this way at all. When I walk into the store I am greeted and asked how I can be helped. There is no high pressure sales practices, and the staff is very knowledgable on every item in the store. On a few occasions, they have gone out of their way to get answers to my questions. If they do not have exactly what you are looking for, they will order it for you. These people like what they do and it shows. If you are new to the world of personal defense, Shooters Den is the place for you. they will get you set up and make sure you understand how to operate your new equipment safely, effectively and properly within the limits of the law. I know quite a few police officers and sherrif's deputies who purchase their duty and off-duty weapons at Shooters Den. That in itself is the best endorsement for this business. If your needs are hunting, law enforcement, personal or home defense, black powder, reloading or optics and accessories, Shooters Den will steer you in the right direction. I'll stake my life on it! read more
