Easy location to find. Staff was upbeat, nice, and very professional. We did a private suite and it was well worth the money. If you get nervous with people walking behind you etc then it's well worth the price. We stayed 2-3 hours and had a great time! They have memberships, gun rentals, and classes as well. I highly recommend Shoot Smart. I took their new shooter safety class, and license to carry class. Their staff is extremely safe, friendly, and enjoyable. The class is taught with visuals, audibles, and hands on curriculum. I would suggest this class to anyone wanting to learn more about gun safety, gun use, target practice, a clean gun range, gun rentals, or even buying guns. So im on vacation obv with Eric in Texas. What do you do in Texas? you shoot guns of course!!!! I haven't shot in a very long time so I decided to check this spot out. They were super nice and accommodating to us. We got a private lane and tested out around 7 or 8 different guns. I loved it. He loved it. It was a fun way to pass a few hours. We really had fun. They supply the ear protectors and the eye wear as well. I bought my own ammo at the local Walmart and all in all wound up costing us around 70$ which for almost 2 1/2 hours of time is nothing. We got out a lot of stress and had fun blowing away the targets. Thanks for helping this long island girl have some fun!!!! read more

Would give zero stars now if I could!!! I'm reposting again. Won't be going back because of ONE EMPLOYEE!!! The older man assisted us and he was nice and helpful and explain the Difference in hearing protection. This was my very 1st time going to a range and the 1st firearm I owned and used it for the first time there. The guy that helped us was very good at going over the safety rules and what we needed to know. I felt safe after he walked through every. THEN HERE GOES CB WE WILL CALL HIM CB FOR CHEESE BURGER. The racist JERK!!! Before we even got back on track to the positive experience here we goes Hovering over the nice guy watching HIS EVERY MOVE with our transaction menting and making remarks and HE NOT EVEN HELPING US!! We had a Groupon for two he commented it's for traditional lanes only so the other firearms we brought were excluded. HE TOOK PRIDE IN SAYING IT Little did CB know we both are government employees and make daNG good money!! We work at the same place and we bring home the bacon the same bacon hE WOLFS DOWN WE BRING IN!!!! Pocket change talk he was doing! It was nothing to us!!! So we went outside grabbed more money to upgrade to a private .... Dang a Groupon!! So we in the process of upgrading and about the make the payment and he over in the corner sour lol. What messed that upgrade up was the magnet check my other half had green tip which fail so we skipped the private and went back to the Groupon which I'm sure MR. CB was happy about. Anyway we carried on put the ear protection we were about to buy back and did the original plan. The guy really helping us was super nice and got the energy back on track and we were the only ones in there for the 1st 20 mins I got the jitters off from firing my very 1st gun :-) and got use to how loud his and mines are. Man firearms are loud!!!! After that twenty it started to fill up one Hispanic couple two whit guys and another white family that two up two spots. We were the only black ppl. I turned around a couple of times while we were in there by ourselves and big greasy was staring at us through the window like we going to take the stapler or something that didn't belong to us. Why was HE WATCHING US!!! He didn't even help us!!! When the other crowd came in. He came in there. Skipped us. Went to the family of whites and I quote "is there anything I can help u with?" Skipped us went to the other side. To the Hispano couple is there anything I can help you with? By the way bring your target down by the black line. Is what he told them. Had he been good like our guy he would have explained it before hand like our guy did. Went to the two white guy asked them "is there anything I can help you with" skipped us again went back to the white family AGAIN. ON THE OTHER SIDE OF US "is there anything I can help you with!!! At this point I knew he was being a ultra d**k and he walked out. Little did he know WE DIDN'T WANT HELP FROM VALUE MENU CB we had fun from our OWN energy and from the nice guy energy. By the time we finish it was a new crew upfront and all of them and friendly who asked us if we enjoyed our experience and I told the how the ammo coming out was hot!! I didn't know being it was my 1st time. We all chuckled and he even gave me a laugh when he said his wife had on a low cut shirt and the ammo decided to do a peep show on her chest and burned the girls on its trip down lol. I busted out laughing hard cause little did he know that it happened to me twice while I was shooting and as of me typing this my chest is burning with marks hahahahah!! Disappointed with Shoot Smart Benbrook. Went to range a week ago and everything was good. Went again tonight and they tell me I have to pay $5 to rent ear protection. I told them I was just in and ear protection was complimentary. They told me yes, but it changed this week. No notice was given. I get their advertisements, so I know they have my email and cell phone #. Probably a good idea to inform people of the change. I thought they would at least let me borrow a pair this time and now that I know, I can bring my own next time. No, no offer to borrow. It's not really the $5, although I don't like to waste money. Very nice, simple, setup. Shooting lanes are clean, well lit, and have plenty of air flow. Target system is quick and easy to use. Staff is very friendly and available when needed, but also stays out of your way and lets you enjoy shooting. Hand wash sink is available in the lobby, out of the bathrooms, and makes cleaning up a breeze. Prices are reasonable, and I don't really have a negative about the place. First time ever coming to this place and was easy to start shooting. Brought my girlfriend and my girlfriend's mom, we all had a great time. If you are unfamiliar with a certain weapon, they'll show you how to load the magazine, and operate that weapon. The staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints from the 3 of us. Went to this range for the first time, when me and my partner arrived we were greeted the employees were very helpful, everything was going great until we wanted to use military discount on 1 of 4 purchases, we were told we couldn't use our discount even though we had our ID and that it was OUR ID but told by one of the employees that since He didn't " serve " in the military his dad did, we were denied the discount.Overall pretty good shooting range really enjoyed it. read more

I have shot at this place twice now. Took my LTC here. Was very impressed by the instructor. The indoor range is nice with the automated target. They provide ear and eye protection if needed. Prices are fair, staff seems helpful. I read the bad reviews and kinda have to roll my eyes. read more

Can I give a zero? Rude. I made an error on an application and he refused to give me a new one and refused to sell me a firearm after that. You're going to run my background check right to know I'm a solid, safe person. But then you refuse to give me another application? Are you in limited supply? Tried to make me use their pen rather than my own "are you sure it's blue?" Asked me that twice, made me give it to him so he could clearly see it was blue. He was short, abrupt with me and stood over my shoulder in an intimidating manner, and then when I asked for the application that had my personal information on it he refused to give that to me telling me he had to shred it. I don't believe that, I believe he wanted my personal information. If my information gets out, I will know EXACTLY who did it. He may know his guns, but he doesn't know how to treat people or women consumers. He gave us contradictory information compared to the other location we went to. You just lost our business and our families and any friends we come across looking for recommendations. read more

We have a patriot membership and couldn't be happier! The staff is knowledgeable, safe, and very welcoming! They make us feel welcome when we come in the door and we usually never wait for a lane in either traditional or for private. Gun selection is not bad (for renting and purchasing) and the pricing is very reasonable from what I've seen. read more

I have gone to this range before and never had a problem. Went there today with three pistols to vet. They were out of ammo for two of them. The manager stated that he couldn't control what ammo was available. More importantly, he didn't seem to care much about it either. Obviously, like Cabela's khaki pants and a uniform shirt don't make you an expert on firearms. Why can't they post ammo shortages on their websites or on their door so people will know going in? Poor attitude and poor customer service. read more

I go to the Benbrook location almost weekly to use the range. Staff is always courteous and helpful. Have taken several classes here. Joyce is very knowledgeable, informative, and always willing to answer question and help improve techniques on the range. Matt provided one on one instruction to help me prepare for my LTC proficiency test. For LTC class, Richard Waters was very professional and provided a wealth of knowledge of the law as it relates to carrying a firearm. I highly recommend Shoot Smart! read more

Went to a private suite where you supposedly can shoot full auto. They came in 3 times in 30 minutes. Wouldnt let me bring my water in. Confiscated my ammo and wouldnt give it back to me untill after I payed. Not gun friendly at all. Now I know why its empty all the time. Grand Prairie location has it beat by a mile. read more
