Been a long time customer of shogun for many reasons! They serve great hibachi dishes, service is always friendly and on point, and they have plenty of hibachi grills to help cut down their wait time on the weekends. They have done a few renovations over the years since I've been going with keeping it fresh and clean inside to enjoy your experience! 9 My absolute favorite to get is the garlic noodles but don't skip the fried rice either! Their homemade yum yum sauce is absolutely delicious to enjoy with your steak, chicken, shrimp or other favorites. They offer that along with scallops, filet, swordfish and combinations of two as well. The hibachi chefs also are very attentive with how you like your food cooked and keep up with your sauce refills! A+ spot!

One of my favorite places in RI for hibachi! Shogun has been around for years and always consistent. They usually have a bit of a wait but it's worth it. Angel was our hibachi chef and he was fun, did a great presentation, and attentive. He made sure that the entire table was all set before cleaning up his station. Great service! I come here several times and each hibachi chef has their own unique style of cheffing it up, with neat tricks and a fun show! I ordered the shrimp tempura for an app and it's juicy and crispy. It goes great with a side of teriyaki sauce. I had the filet and chicken with fried rice for dinner. I also ordered a side of garlic noodles and it was delicious. Highly recommend.

3.5/5 average is accurate. i did not look this place up before going since my friends picked it for their birthday and i was tagging along for the vibe. the staff there are really nice and the food was good and the show was cute. however the wait time was draining. like we checked in around 5:20pm and weren't seated until close to 7pm. then the show took a while. so if you want to do anything else with your evening don't come here that day. it was also everyone's birthday so they slam a drum and sing loudly every few minutes which must be exhausting for the staff. they generously give every birthday free fried ice cream. it was also pricey food for what it was. like the plate i show you is the steak only plate and it was $31.... that's wild considering this place is randomly in warwick by a freeway with no views and a muggy, dark interior. i mean kr was good tasting but like no fancy steak or anything. my friends got garlic noodles and it was $10 extra per person. the ratio of carb to protein is not good. it's like prov place food court but double the price. i prob won't come back again but i enjoyed it for what it was.

We went in on a Tuesday night at 5 PM and we were the first ones to arrive. Everything was fresh, the chef was very entertaining, and we were given very large portions. I ordered the beef hibachi dinner for $30. We started with soup and salad, which was very good. Then the hibachi chef did his thing and gave us a taste of the grilled shrimp. The fried rice was was amazing and we ordered the noodles too. The steak was very flavorfull and cooked exactly how I ordered it. Our table had no complaints and we even got dessert because it was my birthday. By the time we left the whole place was packed and all of the hibachi tables were filled. Great time, great food.

My my my! I was missing my favorite hibachi place back home, and Shogun came through for the rescue. I visited Shogun on a Friday evening. There were a few people around the hibachi grills celebrating birthdays and eating, but I decided to have dinner at the bar. I ordered the hibachi chicken and shrimp with a full order of fried rice. The food was impeccable. It was seriously cooked to perfection. I also had one of Shogun's cocktails. I enjoy a nice occasional drink. Though I cannot recall the name of the cocktail, I must admit: it gave me the after work buzz I needed. I received good service from Shogun. I have no complaints! I will return soon.

Asked for fried rice got DISGUSTING WHITE RICE

Wow! This used to be my favorite restaurant at one point in time & now it appears to have gone down the tubes immensely. For two INEDIBLE meals- $100- I might as well have burned my money. I ordered the half filet and chicken hibachi and my boyfriend ordered the filet. $40 for this compared to $28 for the filet meal at Yamato (which is a 5000X better. We asked for fried rice and we received white rice. Asked for extra pink sauce and didn't get that either. The filet was "tough" and the vegetable to meat ratio was wayyy off. The vegetables were gross and were mostly onions!! The only edible part of my meal was the chicken. The pink sauce used to be amazing- idk if they changed it but it's awful now. We literally were starving when we ordered but our meals were both INEDIBLE. That's how disgusting the meals were. I can't believe I'm even writing this review after having countless birthday's and celebration dinners here. BEYOND disappointed! I will NOT be returning sadly.

Our server, Jenna, visited our table soon after we were seated and brought us water. We were waiting for other members of our party, and she never made us feel rushed or pressured. While waiting, we put in drink orders and the "Lavender Fields Forever" cocktail that I ordered (Rhodium Gin, lavender syrup, fresh lemon juice, snap pea simple syrup) was so delicious, and garnished with a beautiful sprig of lavender flowers. We ordered two appetizers: Point Judith Calarmari and Corn Arepas. The calamari had too many tentacles and not enough rings for me, but the arepas were excellent. The cornmeal base was crispy and hot, and there was just the right amount of meat and toppings. For entrees, our group ordered the Chimichurri Grilled Chicken sandwich, The rigatoni with pink sauce and sausage with crispy chicken as an add on, the short ribs over mashed potatoes, the Wood-Grilled Bone-In Pork Chop, and the Rib Eye Steak. We all enjoyed our entrees. It is evident that Iron Works uses high quality ingredients and puts a great amount of care into the preparation fo their food. We split three desserts amongst the five of us: The flourless chocolate torte, the cheesecake, and the Banoffee Sundae. The flourless torte was rich and very chocolately, and the cheesecake was very good as well. I'm not a fan of bananas, so I didn;t try the Sundae, but the friend who ordered it enjoyed it. After dinner, we sat and chatted for awhile,, and we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. This was a very enjoyable evening in a great restaurant environment with delicious food.

Most egregious: the shrimp that came with the Caesar salad was POPCORN SHRIMP coated in SWEET-AND-SOUR sauce. I truly couldn't believe it. Why wouldn't the server at least warn me? To add insult to injury, my salad was overdressed and soggy. Also, the dressing was revolting. I don't mind anchovies for flavor, but the dressing tasted like an anchovy puree. I think it was maybe past its prime. I had one bite and couldn't continue. Inedible. And the fries. The parmesan truffle fries were drenched in mayonnaise??? I don't really care for mayo but I don't mind a drizzle or an aioli dipping sauce. However, the mayo to fry ratio was literally 2:1. I tried to wipe it off and it was still like a mayo-fry soup. Inedible. I took everything to go and just trashed it. I've NEVER done that before. This is a delayed review (meal was a few months ago) and I'm still rattled by how bad it was.

There's not many places with a 12 ounce ribeye for that price anymore. It was cooked a perfect medium rare and have that delicious char flavor. The mac & cheese was also on point. It's a $3 up charge to get it as a side which is steep because the portion wasn't that big. My brother got their burger and said it was really good. For a drink, I got their longhorn old-fashioned. The bartender made it really strong and I felt that after a couple sips! $11 is also an amazing price as most cocktails now or $15. Service was pretty good and the atmosphere was lively. This location is right behind Warwick mall, there's tons of parking all around and it gets pretty busy in there but they accommodate pretty fast. I love that they have a good amount of booths at any given time. But when they have to combine tables together for big parties, it's a little annoying because they're smack in the middle of the restaurant and it can get pretty loud. But otherwise the volume of the restaurant isn't that bad at all. We were greeted very warmly and sat promptly. The first table they sat us at was directly next to the kitchen entry/exit, I asked to be sat somewhere less chaotic, and was warmly told we could and we were moved. The table we were brought to the seats were dirty, so I asked for them to be cleaned, she half cleaned them. I saw stuff still on them, and then they were wet instead of her drying them so I did it with my hand ( not ideal, but also not sitting on a wet booth) . I opened my utensils and my knife had stuff on it, so it's clearly not clean. I asked for a new knife. My waitress apologized and brought another set and said if there was any issues with that she would personally shine a set herself. My server was Kelly, beyond amazing from start to finish. Very attentive, funny and a great server- for sure. They probably earned this review more stars honestly. We ordered the big boy steak, the shrimp and lobster chowder, 2 lobster tails with asparagus and loaded baked potato and we had bread for the table. The food was so delightful. From the tasty chowder to the entree, even the bread was sweet and so good. The food was amazingly delicious- I was shocked. And the price points are actually pretty good. We were shocked to see all of that and we had 2 drinks as well ( Texas margarita and Jack and coke) total without tip all under 100.00 that's amazing for 2 people. The food is so good. The review simply loses starts for the dirty table, booth and the dirty knife, that's so gross- also makes me wonder what else is dirty. But the service and food were very good!

Be warned, it's on the more expensive side for dining and may be a coin toss for "is it worth it" for those that enjoy a night out but also looking for value. Food was a mixed bag for us.... Starting with the smashburger was genuinely disappointing as the burger itself was dry and advertised as a "French onion" smashburger that failed to deliver any of the rich, savory flavor we expected with a name like "French onion smashburger". The hot honey Mac and cheese was very good and flavorful... The hot being more of a vinegary heat than I expected but the cream sauce was rich. Speaking of value earlier.... Smashburger was $20 and the Mac and cheese was $28. Entrees were $10-15 more it seemed but previous reviews all spoke highly of the entrees and would want to try them if we visit again. The overall service experience was disappointing for us. Not for the demeanor of the staff but everything else... We had a decent size group of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids) and was fortunate to have a dining room to help the kids burn some energy while not bothering the other diners. However, from ordering to entrees to arrive was 45 very hungry minutes. It also took 20+ mins just to get drinks. Once the food arrived, they also were short two of the kids meals which was thankfully corrected quick. We then were somewhat "gently" being asked to wrap things up by 3 staff members in 10 mins making the rounds to clear plates and any to go containers. We all understand the business in the food industry and turning tables, and trust me, after an hour from arriving to food on the table we wanted to get home for bed time. However, really sours the experience and would not advocate going here with large groups.... Between the kitchen and staff I can't say you'd have a guaranteed good time.

It was very cramped. I sat in the inside chair, in order for me to get out, my husband had to get up and move his chair totally out and around the end of the table for me to get out. The table on the other side had the chairs right up against the chairs behind it. Whatever. We got settled and looked at the menu. First item on the app menu was a bread basket. 4 rolls of bread for $8. Most places just bring bread. Ok, we aren't getting bread. Ordered drinks. I got an apple cinnamon mule. It was very tasty, but 2 sips and the drink was gone. The cup was filled to the top with ice once the drink was gone. Ordered the sirloin sandwich. Server said it's her favorite thing on the menu. I ordered the horseradish on the side because too much is overwhelming. It came smothered in horseradish. The person who brought it food placed it and was gone, so I didn't have a chance to say anything. I managed to take the steak out and wipe off the horseradish... there was soooo much. I couldn't eat the bread. By the time the server came over to ask how everything was, the rest of my party was almost done eating. I mentioned that the horseradish was supposed to be on the side and she said "oh no! It's ok though right?" I said I guess it will have to be, as she can see most of my dinner was untouched and I was eating my wiped off steak with a knife and fork. She didn't say anything else and left. No manager came by. She never came back other than to drop the check. After we ate my husband told me his ahi tuna bowl had a ton of soy sauce in the bottom and the rice was swimming in it, so he didn't finish that. We won't be returning. I have written many yelp reviews and almost all our positive. If I don't like a restaurant, I usually just don't review it. The venue itself felt polished and high-end from the moment we walked in. The meats were definitely the highlight of the evening -- top-tier cuts, well-seasoned, tender, and served fresh off the skewers with incredible flavor. Every selection we tried was juicy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. You can tell quality is a priority here. The salad bar had a nice variety overall, but since our reservation was at 8 PM for a party of four and the restaurant closed at 9 PM, some items were no longer fully stocked by the time we arrived. Service was also a little slower toward the end of the evening, which seemed understandable given the late reservation and closing time approaching. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant, but I'd strongly suggest booking an earlier reservation to fully enjoy the entire experience, especially the salad bar and full pace of service. Even with that, the food quality, upscale atmosphere, and outstanding meat selections still made for a very enjoyable dining experience.

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We were seated by the bar and began with the salad bar. Even with our table marker on green, the service was very slow and inconsistent -- it took roughly 10 minutes between each plate, despite being right next to the grill. For meats, we only received: * Picanha * Bacon-wrapped steak * Bacon-wrapped chicken * Chicken leg * Parmesan pork * Sausage We never received beef ribs, bone-in ribeye, or most of the specialty items advertised in the full churrasco. We requested these multiple times to both the gaucho and our server, but they never arrived. Lamb chops finally showed up over an hour later, long after we were already full. Most of the cuts were dry. Our server, Aiden, was friendly and did his best, but my girlfriend never received her drink, asked for another side of mash which we never got . At that point, we had to downgrade our meal since so many items were missing. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing Brazilian steakhouse experiences we've had. Many of the promised cuts of meat were never offered, and the service left the full churrasco feeling incomplete and frustrating.
