While browsing in the kids' section, I noticed a woman, who later identified herself as the manager, following me around the store. After I moved to the back, she sat down and continued watching me for about 10 minutes while I shopped. I eventually approached her and asked if she was following or watching me. She said no. I then asked if she was the manager, and she confirmed that she was. When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it and told me I didn't need to know. As a Black college graduate, an English teacher, and a mother of three, I found this experience extremely upsetting and disrespectful. I was treated as if I were doing something wrong when I was simply shopping for my family. No customer should feel singled out or profiled in this way. I completed my purchase and left, but the entire situation left a lasting negative impression. I hope this location takes this seriously and addresses how customers are treated moving forward.

It seems small compared to other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. However they have a decent variety of things, women's coats and jackets, active wear, pants, tops/blouses, intimate apparel. After some perusing, I found what I had came for. The quality of the outfit didn't look as good as it did online. Nonetheless I grabbed it and a couple other blouses and tried everything on in the fitting room. They had an attendant at the fitting room who was helpful and it was easy to get in and out of the dressing room. The checkout process was fairly quick and when asked the cashier let me know what their return policy was. I had until January (it was earlier this week when I purchased my items, so early November), with the receipt, all tags, and the items obviously never worn. I'm not sure if this is their usual return window or a special one for the holidays but its more than enough time to return something if you need to and I did so this was helpful. When I returned my items a couple hours later, after finding something that better fit my needs, the return process was a breeze and they refunded my money back to my original form of payment.

They have been servicing the Clear lake area for about 15 years! So back to the shoe experience. I was able to tell Sheryl my needs , what my problem with my current shoes (average lower tier brand running shoes) and how I keep having or needing sports message or chiropractic adjustment on my lower back. She asked me to take off my shoes , measured my foot (width , height and arch support needed) , asked me to walk up and down the store and she immediately knew what kind of shoe would be best for me. It was so refreshing to know that she knew what I needed out of a shoe! She looked at my old running shoes to verify my step. She went to the back of the store and came back about 5 min later with 3 choices of shoes. She had me try on the first , walk in it and then try the next pair. One by one I would talk about how they felt and in moments she gave me her recommendation. I was really impressed with the owner and the store. You can tell the running gurus come here for a reason. They seemed to have several folks in the store helping people and I paid about $125 for the running shoes. They do have a rewards program so if you buy seven pairs of shoes the 7th one is free. After using the Brooks shoes on my first run it felt immediately different. No longer were my feet killing me getting off the treadmill or my feet and legs feeling just used up and sore the next day. My knees didn't hurt and my lower back felt fine. The cushioning and support on the shoe was what I needed. I can't say enough how happy I am with them. Thank you On the Run!!! I run for health reasons and I'm in no way shape or form a pro runner. Nor did I use to run track or cross section. I'm just an average guy that was looking for a change of the normal "running" shoe. After the boots pulled me into the store it was only right I take a closer look at them and then try them on. Not only are the boots great looking but so comfortable! The leather is quality and durable yet light and easy on the feet. Sold! I noticed there was a buy one get one half sale going on so of course that made other items worth a look. I found another pair of shoes that are a cross between stylish ankle boots and classic loafers with a touch of hiking boot. They are an adorable and fashionable find that will work with many outfits. These are another very comfy footwear find that are so lightweight as if barefoot. Like the boots they are also sturdy built. I'm lucky that one of the two pair left was my size. Two pairs of shoes equals a top score. The young lady helping me, as well as the guy working with her, were very friendly and answers any and all questions I had. Go figure, all of the 'local' stores (some of them 20+miles out) showed one pair so I knew to call to make sure they had them before driving out. Of course, the closest one didn't have them, but the next one out in Friendswood (Baybrook) did. I didn't mind being on hold to confirm this, so I was on my way. The drive out wasn't so bad, and the parking lot was huge since it was in a decent sized shopping center. I did have to wait in the checkout line (which had only 2 people working) so it was about 10 minutes, but more associates were brought on after this. I wish they were on hold in the actual shoe section since I wanted to make sure the fit was perfect and when I brought this up, the guy said I could bring them back if they didn't work out. I took them back to the shoe area after purchasing to try, and they worked. Service was great over the phone with the girl who confirmed the stock, and the guy at the register was cool as well. It was worth the drive out here!

Christian went above and beyond to find the shoe in our size after getting special permission from Justin the manager to sell it since it was not even on the floor yet due to an upcoming Hyrox event they were having at their store. That type of customer service will make us a Dicks Sporting goods customer for life. Their marketing person even came over to tell us about upcoming events leading up to the Hyrox event in Houston and welcome us back. Even though it was over an hour drive, we absolutely will return to this location and will tell all our friends that live closer to this area about how amazing we were treated .

The assistant manager, Makenna, was helping me. She proceeded to try and scratch the black marks off. She told me it was "fuzz" and suggested it was fine. Upon looking at them it was clear it wasn't fuzz and she had scratched the shoe. I asked if she could check the inventory to see if they had another pair I could swap them out for. She told me I could go and look myself. I asked for a refund for both pairs of shoes. She said she did it but said she couldn't give me a receipt for it. She stated it would come via email. The email never came. When I asked when I should expect the email or if there was anyway she could print me a paper reveipt she just stared at me. POOR customer service from the assistant manager and when she was asked questions she said "I don't know what you want me to do" or "I don't know" or "you'll just have to wait for the receipt". I ended up having to go through my credit card to ensure I was refunded my money. I'll certainly take my money elsewhere.
