Initially, I dropped off the shoe and was told I would get a call with an estimate. I dropped them off on a Saturday and had heard nothing by the following Sunday so I reached out via Facebook messenger and left my number. I was called back by Farrell, the owner, and given a quote, a time estimate and an option to pay via PayPal (they don't do credit cards). Once that was all squared away, Clarke's went to work on my shoe. When it was finished Farrell called me to let me know I could pick it up and explained a little about what he did to the shoe. While Bel Air is a bit of a drive for me, the customer service and quality of the work that Clarke's provided means I will be returning in the future.

The stitching color a spacing is visible so if it was a bad job you'd see it. I cannot see any difference in the old stitching and the new. She matched the color and the stitch length perfectly. New belts would have cost me around $80-100 apiece but she did both for a very reasonable price. I could also see other orders of heavy Chippewa hiking boots and similar items waiting to be picked up. They looked great and care was taken to renew the leather. Again, I have been coming here for years and I have been able to save tons of shoes from the shoe graveyard. This particular trip came about because of a pair of boots that I purchased on final sale. I couldn't get my foot inside of the boot so I brought it here to get a full zipper placed so I could were these boots for any boots on the ground events.
