If properly cared for they will last nearly a lifetime. They are just nearly indestructible. I have been buying Red Wings for years. If they don't have what you want in stock, they can get it in a couple of days. On the very rare occasion when I have had an issue, the customer service, both locally and at corporate in Minnesota, has always been enthusiastic to resolve the matter 100% to my satisfaction. I called today to find out about repaired and not only is it out of warranty, but it can't be resold. I was sold a pair of shoes that cannot be resoled. He was more than happy to offer me $30 off of my next pair of shoes. However since my last pair of $40 Walmart shoes lasted me longer than this pair of shoes, unless somebody calls me to make this better I will never be visiting the store again and will tell all my friends that they should not be buying these shoes because the company won't back you up.
