My deluxe pedicure was amazing. I would give that, on its own, five stars…read more My nails are an entirely different story. First, for a price of $55, I at least expect my nails to be uniform and straight. As you can see, that is certainly not the case. Almost every nail is crooked. Not only are the nails crooked, but they are completely uneven and lumpy. My right hand looks entirely different from my left hand. Second, the technician filed beyond my natural nail into the nail bed, especially on my left thumb. This caused pain and concerns for potential infections. Third, the demarcation line between the white and pink is not an ombré. The nail tech mentioned after the service that it was too light of a pink to use... but she could have told me that prior to putting it on. By the time she said something, I had already been there for an hour and a half and was getting ready to walk out of the door. When I brought this up prior to paying, the nail tech offered to fix the lack of uniformity. The pictures included are after she attempted to do so, and yet the nails are still uneven. Afterwards, they only took off $5 for these issues. I expected salon quality nails, and received abhorrently bad service with no acknowledgement from the staff at how poorly done these nails are, not to mention having a nail technician file into my nail bed. The price for this service was absolutely unacceptable. I have taught myself how to do acrylic nails off YouTube, and they turn out better than this using my non-dominant hand. If you're wondering if it was busy, because perhaps that could be an excuse, it wasn't. I walked in as three people were walking out and was one of three people by the time my service was over. So, before you decide to have your nail service done here for a basic pink to white ombré, look at these nails and ask yourself if this is worth $50 (much less $55), because apparently the establishment does!

Someone else had to do this same technique, just as they did the other few times that she couldn't do it during other visits. Wow, I can't say enough good!!!! I wish there were 10 stars. I've never had a manicure before and I was so impressed with the relaxing, luxurious, brown leather chairs, stunning ambiance and location here in the Shoals. Plus an unlimited selection of colors for polish. Tai did a phenomenal job and was so detail oriented. I left the Shoals Nail & Spa and went to get dinner and got several compliments I was estatic. Definitely returning in the future. I'm so happy with my French tips, I wish I could post a picture. Also, I was worried about the chemicals that are used but my nails smell like a fruit, I don't know what they used but they smell is so pleasant and they are smooth and light, definitely no heavy, fake feeling. Tai also mentioned that the normal chemical that is used for nails causes cancer and they don't use that so I was relieved. So happy with them and they feel 1 million times better than they look. read more

This barbershop claims a welcoming environment, but not one word was spoken to me until my barber showed up 3-4 minutes late to my appointment (I was there roughly 8 minutes prior to my appointment). Now to get into the haircut which wasn't a bad haircut I walked away looking decent. Master barber Marco stated he didn't have enough time to shave my head and he'd need me to select on the website haircut and shave for me to get that done. As a first time customer that's not really helpful or beneficial as I'm already in the chair and now I'm going into a haircut knowing I won't be getting what I expected. After about 17 minutes of him jamming the clippers into the side of my head and neck we finished and I paid with 9 minutes to spare. I'm fairly certain he could have made my experience and exceeded my expectations, but I'm not one to judge the ability of someone with their craft. It just seems like I could have received what I wanted if they truly were interested in providing excellent customer service. I don't think I will find it in me to try the other barbers based on this first experience.
