I honestly have no idea why this only has 2 stars. The workers were so sweet and had continuous conversations with me and my cousin and I showed her a picture of what I wanted my nails to look like and she matched them perfectly. My cousin also got nails and match her picture perfectly and the best part about this is the price you will not find better quality nails for the price they offer. I got a full set of acrylic nails and they were only $38 with the tip included. These are some of the best nails I have ever had. I would 1000% recommend sugar nails. read more

I paid 30 dollars for a normal powder manicure. It is supposed to last longer than the 2 week period that gel lasts. These photos are from 3 days after the manicure. This place was absolutely horrible. I already had a set of acrylics that I wanted removed and I wanted gel nails. The lady said that my natural nails were too short. I've always been a nail biter and I had been letting my acrylic set grow out for a while so I could get gel nails to protect the ones I have grown. Instead of working with one customer, the lady in the first booth on the right, would do a little with one person, go to the next, and then go to another person. In times of COVID-19, this is a very unsanitary practice, especially since they are not washing their hands or sanitizing their equipment in between clients. As soon as I walked in, I asked for a gel manicure and was made to immediately go wash my hands and they have all kinds of screens up to protect themselves but it didn't seem like they want to necessarily protect their customers. Seeing that the process of the lady jumping from customer to customer was taking too long, when she finally got to me, I told her I simply wanted to remove my acrylic set. I've had this process done before and the proper way to do it is to soak the acrylics in acetone and file them down with the electric file. Once she realized that she wasn't going to be getting more money out of me, she then proceeded to take a fake fingernail tip and tried to use it to dig up under my acrylics and pulled them off. When I say the pain was excruciating, I am not kidding. I have a really high pain tolerance and I literally had tears welling up in my eyes as the layers of my fingernails I had been working so hard to grow were being pulled off my nail. She then tried to blame the pain on the fact that I didn't get the nails originally done there. After I was about to cry, she tried to use cuticle trimmers to cut some off but she then cut off the length I had just told her I was trying to save. She said that the alternative method of removing them (the proper way to do it) would take an hour. It doesn't take that long at all seeing I have had it done several times. The lady was rude the entire time. When I finally had the acrylics ripped off, she then tried to start to do a manicure. When I said, "I'm good!" she was like, "You want a clear coat?" No, what I really wanted was to get the heck out of there. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. They had awards hanging on the wall that they were voted the #1 nail salon in our area and I'm pretty sure those were counterfeit because there is another salon in town that's almost impossible to get into called Kandy Nails. I'd try that place if you can get in. read more

Well, it's mostly their hateful attitude that rubs me wrong. They shout at you as you walk in the door, "what you want?"....They are not friendly and act as though you are imposing on them. Then I'm sure they are bad mouthing as they speak their language to each other. I just went to have gel polish removed and they gave me the bowl of remover and ignored me for 20 minutes, so I used their tool to scrape it off. They charged me the nail removal fee, even though I said "I did it myself" the younger lady with the worst attitude said "we gave you bowl". read more

The first time I went here, the lady that shaped my nails and did the dip powder did amazing, but then another lady did the gel clear coat over the dip. She painted all over my fingertips and cuticles with gel, and I was picking gel off my fingers for days. Gave them another shot, and I don't think this lady had any training whatsoever. I specifically asked for square shape. Exactly like what I already had but shorter. But she rounded them and shaped them so poorly. She was extremely sloppy, and the dip was jagged and sharp all around my cuticles. Once again, a different girl did the gel clear coat which was also extremely sloppy. Do not waste your time or money with this place, because the only thing they have going for them is a wide variety of colors. read more

Positives: didn't need an appointment; pedicure and manicure turned out okay after pointing out some flaws which she corrected. It was $37 for the spa pedicure and a manicure. Negatives: I had to point out some obvious issues like dead skin/cuticles that needed further grooming and were quite visible to her and I. I felt like both pedicure and manicure were "rush" jobs. They were covered up and more people were coming in. When I called, I was told they took their last customer at 530pm and they close at 7pm. There were still people coming in at 630pm. I am going to try other places in the area before I will visit Sugar Nails again. read more

The staff is not friendly, and I got at least one rude comment from someone on the staff during each visit. Worst pedicure ever. They didn't let me soak my feet at all. It was literally put them in the water and right back out. I don't know how my feet feel rougher now, but they do. I also had to repaint my toes when I get home. Paint was on the skin and cuticles were covered in paint. read more

The first time I tried this place it was a little bit of a wait time but my nails looked really good especially my feet. And it only costed me $47. Well the second time I went in, there super busy. I came in around 11, had me sit in the chair and the guy ran the water after adding the liner. I didn't leave until a little after 1. My feet looked good. But when the lady did my nails some of them are longer then the other hand, not straight at all. They would do better if they had scheduling and not keep accepting walk ins and guess at how long it'd be to have what you needed done. And somehow she always gets the dip powder or the glue all over my fingertips and it takes forever to get it all off. And while the lady was doing my nails she goes and pulls out her phone to text someone then goes back to doing my nails. And instead of using the machine that dries your nails she has me hold my hands up under a hot lamp until there dry then finished my nails and says "go wash your hands" and while I'm washing my hands she goes and works on another lady beside me then when I sit down comes back to me. There's only 5 people that work here. 2 of the guys are working on feet and occasionally another person will but then she'll leave and work on someone's hands. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars Terrible! I got a fullset and had to return in less than 2 weeks to have a fill-in because they were lifting. Had the fill in and was not pleased in the 1st place but 2 nails popped off like press-ons in 2 days. Went to have them repaired and she wanted to charge me for her poor work. She claimed if I had gotten my fullset done there she could have done it for free. I told her I did have it done there and she did them both times. She denied it and was very rude! Came in with my sister just to get our nails painted. We were treated as annoyances as soon as we came in. The technician that worked with my sister never smiled or greeted her. She asked for payment in a very hostile manner, and yanked her hands and arms around the entirety of the service. My technician was much less aggressive, but was still very cold. When I entered the nail salon NANCY was immediately rude to me. When I told her what color and shape I wanted my nails, she told me it was ugly. When she saw my nails, which are kind of rough from getting acrylics for a long time, she asked me why they looked like that, very rude. Then when she started to do my nails she rushed the job and you could tell in the results. The acrylic was thick and on my actual skin and the acrylic isn't even smooth at all. None of the nails are the same shape, and when I asked her to fix them she was very aggressive and annoyed and also didn't see a problem with them. Because of how bad my nails looked already I didn't tip and she painted my nails in literally one minute. The paint was thick, uneven, and on my cuticles. I go bi-weekly for gel/manicure and generally have an excellent experience. They are friendly and do a good job. The place is large, open, clean, bright and cheerful. So clean! My one pick is that sometimes the prices are not consistent. I have felt like they charged more one time than another time and that makes me really unhappy. Note to parents, they charge as much for a toddler as they do for an adult! I would really like for them to be a little more competitive price-wise with other places but otherwise the environment, respect, and work are A+! And the pedicures are excellent as well-really soothing. read more
