Toad Veggie and Chili Lemon burger
    Divya V.

Shiso Burger brings in together the flavours of conventional burgers with traditional Asian cuisine. This combination is just perfect! I tried the vegetarian toad which includes a portobello mushroom along with veggies. It had blue cheese which I chose to avoid as I'm not a huge fan of it. My cousin ordered a Chili Lemon burger which includes beef patty along with some veggies. We also ordered a lemon mayo on the side which complemented the burgers very well. The check-in process was very smooth and we could easily get seated in no time. Try this place if you are in Berlin, it is definitely worth it!

Man this was a really good burger, the teriyaki sauce just imbeds so much flavor in each bite. I could eat these burgers weekly, the only hard part would be whether I should try their other burgers. Also really liked the bun they use, I've never quite had it but it's light and fluffy and offers a nice base. The French fries were just okay, a little disappointed they didn't come with a housemade sauce or seasoning, they're quite plain. Nicely crisp, but still plain.

Awesome restaurant! Found it through a google search when looking to try the best burgers in Berlin and it did not disappoint. Although there's a lot of seating, the restaurant was packed. Fortunately I was solo so I was able to get a table inside right away. I loved the music they were playing, keep that playlist forever! Staff moves quick and they were all very friendly. The menu is pretty extensive and they have a good variety of burgers and sides. I got the chili lemon burger, homemade fries, and the shiso lemonade. Everything was super delicious! The burger was cooked medium and it was perfect, pretty pink in the middle so beware if thats not your thing. The chili sauce was so good too as it was not too spicy. Fries were okay, they serve them with mayo-ketchup but I wish they were crispier. Overall I def. recommend it. If you like burgers and asian cuisine this is your place!

Came here for a late lunch, had the Shiso burger with fries and a Lychee limeade. The staff were super friendly and the place was super clean and casual. Very expat and foreigner friendly. The burger was juicy and delicious, portion sizing was very reasonable for a quick meal. Fries were even better, and the lychee limeade was unique and also very good. Overall amazing lunch or late afternoon snack spot and would highly recommend to anyone, especially travelers with limited German.

Yum yum yum Small place packed with flavor! We were told this place won best burger in Germany- let me say, it was damn good. We took the most popular bulgoli beef with Asian spicy mayo chili super fantastic bold flavor kick -your-tastebuds-into-happy-land the server said we should have it with cheese, who are we to argue?!? Hubby tried the chili-lime burger with cheese- typical hamburger but a citrus salad kick fresh greens and a delish aioli-like mayo. Ordered the fries, but our neighbors ordered the potatoes 2 on a stick and they looked way better! Yum Yum

Shiso Burger is a hip, Asian fusion restaurant, serving Asian-influenced interpretations of burgers on a soft, Japanese-style bun. The restaurant was very busy and bustling when we came here during lunchtime. We got two burgers to share--first, the black tiger shrimp burger, which came with the standard lettuce, tomato, and onion, along with chili-mayo. The patty was made of ground shrimp meat and deep-fried, and overall, the combination made for a decent sandwich. The other burger we ordered was the bulgolgi burger, which had similar toppings, but the patty was far more interesting--it was made of strips of lean, grilled beef (not ground), and much of the flavor was centered on the teriyaki sauce. While the food here was decent and the service was fine, the portion sizes were way too small, especially for the price--overall, a decent Asian fusion restaurant, but nothing in comparison to the offerings say, in California.

    Cheese Burger (large) - 7,90€

Shiso Burger - Cheese Burger (large) - 7,90€ Size 1.00 (The presentation is really great! The burger looks very appetizing and juicy. Everything is present, in the right proportion.) Meat 1.00 (Holy cow! This burger patty is thick and juicy. The flavor is great, not too intense, well balanced with the other ingredients.) Bun 1.00 (The bun feels sort of custom made here, it is fluffy, has some sesame seeds and holds together great. Every bun should be like this!) Freshness 1.00 (All of the ingredients on this burger taste well selected and freshly prepared. The lamb's lettuces is a great unusual choice. The cheddar cheese is stringy and aromatic, like it should be.) Price 0.75 (I think it is quite hard to make such a good burger for less AND we are talking about a hip and hyped place in Berlin Mitte. Anyhow, compared to Berlin's present cheesburger price range, it is a little more expensive. More for more, I guess.) Total 4.75/5

The Bulgogi Burger - sooo yummy. Definitely my favorite.

Shiso Burger was my favorite burger shop in Berlin. But it got very famous over the time and you can see that the quality of the food suffers because of that. The Sweet potato fries were always the best in town but now they seem to be not that crispy anymore and just don't taste that good anymore. The bulgogi Burger wasn't put together with that much love and you could see that. The Edamame I had didn't have a good distribution of salt . So in the end just a quarter of the edamame were salted. In general you can feel that the many costumers can't be handled by the staff with the caution that is needed.

Came here on recommendation by my fiance's cousin, and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the bulgogi burger, side of sweet potato fries, and side of coleslaw. All were very satisfying. My fiance ordered the vegetarian burger and enjoyed her meal also. The place was packed! There is seating outdoors, but get here early so you dont have to wait. We didnt wait that long for a table though. All in all, this place was worth the visit. If you had to travel across town to get here, I'd save yourself the time and eat somewhere else closer to you.

    Pink shiso iced tea

We came to this place after hearing about it on food blogs. The restaurant was super popping when we arrived, and we had to be seated inside if we didn't want to wait. They also sat us at a reserved table, so we had to eat within the hour (totally doable!). From that impression, though the service was very busy they were accomodating and friendly. I ordered a pink shiso iced tea, bulgogi burger with cheddar cheese, and the two potatoes on a stick. The iced tea was really good, and was just what I needed. The bulgogi burger was delicious and though on the smaller side, it was filling enough for me. The potatoes on a stick were kind of disappointing though, and though it's unfair for me to compare it to the ones in Taiwan, it was completely inferior. They were kind of cold when they came out, and were fried unevenly so that some parts were overfried and some parts rubbery. The ketchup/mayo that came with it was in a tiny container, and was definitely not enough for two sticks. I ended up only eating one, and a friend helped me eat the other (with no ketchup). Overall, it was a really good experience. The decor and atmosphere was hip and nicely lit. It was in a nice area in Mitte and deserved all the hype, if a little pricey for what it was. The food came out promptly and the service was nice. I could see myself frequenting this place if I lived in Berlin!

Shiso serves Asian fusion burgers, sideorders and some daily specials. I LOVE their burgers! The bun is always soft and moist and the fillings never disappoint. The coleslaw is OK, although it's def not the best I've had! Fries(both regular and sweet potato) are great. I've tried the chili-lemon burger, bulgogi burger, ebi burger and salmon burger - all of them GREAT, but chili-lemon and salmon is def my favorites so far! The food arrives at the table pretty fast, which is really nice - especially because it is shortening down the eventual waiting-time for you, if you're walking in and it's completely full!

My husband and I walked by Shiso Burger yesterday and saw how popular it was and thought "that place must be good" so we decided to go today for lunch. And boy am I glad we did! I'm typically quite pessimistic when I see any type of fusion, especially Asian fusion and ESPECIALLY anything Korean related since I'm Korean. I usually find that people don't do it well and the original flavor is lost...but not at Shiso Burger. Food: We both ordered the bulgogi burger because we just had to try it. I was so pleasantly surprised by the flavour and how freaking delicious it was. You could totally taste the bulgogi and it was a traditional Korean taste. Along with the bulgogi was the sweetness of the teriyaki sauce, but there was also a little spicy kick in the sauce. The bun was soft and yummy and it came out piping hot which made the burger melt in your mouth. I highly recommend adding the cheese to the burger because it just takes it over the top. We also ordered the sweet potato fries which were tasty and crispy. It comes with mayo and ketchup. For drinks we ordered one diet coke and a ginger, honey, and lime tea. Cost: 24.20€ Ambiance: Very casual. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Service: Friendly and quick. Would I go back? Absolutely! I'll be dreaming about the burger till my next visit. Note: Shiso Burger is cash only

    tuna burger + lychee lemonade.
    Lene H.

Asian fusion burgers, what's not to love!? I really like the light buns making the burger almost seem like a healthy meal. Both salmon and tuna burger are equally delicious, but the tuna one is a little more pricey, and I'm not really sure if it's worth the extra couple of Euros. As a side kick I like to order the sweet potato fries, again making the meal seem healthy(ish), and a glass of the lychee lemonade: a perfect mix of sweet and sour. The service leaves something to be decided, but hey! it's a burger joint after all, not a posh restaurant, I guess it's what's to be expected.

Since we wanted to help his parents, he added other vietnamnese dishes made by his parents. What was good: DEFINITELY the burgers! That's why this place was created in the first place. The signature umami burger for 7.90€ is absolute bomb. Nice soft sweet butter brioche bun with two thin sliced black angus beef patty's on a slight spicy wasabi kind of mayonnaise. It was good! You can't go wrong with burger here! The umami meatless for 7.50 tasted slightly different because the beef makes a lot of difference. The patty is more bean flavored. Overall the burgers are great but heavy and greasy! What we'd skip next time: The pho was good but not outstanding. 9.90€ is slightly higher priced than other spots in Berlin. Same for the bun cha lot 9.90€. Dau Sot Ca for 5€ could be entire dish by itself that lacked in flavor where you could taste the tomato ketchup in the sauce. For 5€ it's a good deal. The chicken nuggets karaage for 5.50€ were crispy, crunchy and soft, served in a sweet sour sauce which was good! Overall: we love this place because of the owners attitude to help his parents and fulfill his dreams. This place is Definitely not a tourist trap although it's customers are mostly tourists. Momo tavern used to be ranked on #1 on TripAdvisor and when it comes to there burgers - it's definitely worth a visit. When it comes to the rest it's not super special and might be slightly overpriced due to the location right at the Alexander Platz Fernsehturm. Would we come again? If we really crave burger - yes for the umami burger!
