There is NOT a better deal in all of Auburn Hills for lunch. I take most of it home to enjoy the next day. All of it fresh, right down to the pita basket, still warm and soft. If you like Mediterranean food, you cannot miss an opportunity to eat here. Service is quick, food is promptly served, and no unnecessary hovering by the wait staff!
I am visiting Michigan for an event. I wanted a good food to eat after a long day. Looked like Shish Palace is the right one for me. When I read the menu, my mouth was watering. Was waiting for it. But when I received the food, it was cold, but I understand it's not always possible to get warm food with delivery, it was also not at all what I expected. They don't even have the right order, on top of that, gross looking salad and bland chicken. I requested for utensils in the packet, and nops, not there! Never ordering from here again.
Everything was so delish. Both the meat and rice were seasoned to perfection and their garlic sauce was so bomb.
Shish Palace is a staple Middle Eastern Restaurant in Auburn Hills serving. This spot is a staple for Oakland University students and conveniently located close to campus. I personally thought the food was a bit overpriced but everything is always tasty and the portions are large. I really enjoy their lamb and hummus combo. The hummus has a perfect balance of salt, acidity and tartness and the meat is juicy. The service here is usually quick and everyone is always friendly! I recommend trying it at least once if you're in the area!
It was a little better than average Mediterranean food for this area saturated in good Mediterranean food. The food was fresh. The highlights for me was the fattoush salad and the garlic sauce. The rest was mediocre. I tried the pan fried wings. They were just average basket fried wings. The bread was good. The chicken was a little over done burnt taste and salty.
So nice that they have chicken kafta or skewers, this is my latest jam at any middle eastern restaurant of late. Ordered the sampler plate with all chicken (2 chicken kebabs, chicken kafta and chicken shawarma with veggies and two dinner salads and orange and carrot and orange and apple. Their garlic spread is made with olive oil and not butter here, nice, we could eat it with our meats then. The garlic spread is quite flavorful, nice bite and tang from the garlic and lighter than butter, it's good on its own even. The salads were out, they are good, fresh and crunchy. The tabouli is good as well, nicely seasoned and lemony too. The baba ghanouj and spicy hummus are both good. The veggie grape leaves are good, nice tartness and good with the garlic spread too. ;) The falafel is nice and crunchy on the outside and moist and not dry at all on the inside. The meats are so good. Chicken shawarma meat is yummy, a bit dry. The chicken kafta is extremely dry, not my favorite here at all, it does have a lot of good flavor though, just way too cooked for my liking. It even leaves shards of meat as you saw through it with a serrated knife. It's dry. The chicken Tawook is also rather dry. The waiter told us that they have to cook the kafta longer. Ok. The side of hot zest at sauce is good with everything. It's just crushed pepper, burns the mouth but makes any meat edible, along with the garlic spread. Roasted sweet potato, one and some zucchini, carrot and green peppers instead of rice for our platter bed. All of the food was quite good until the meat came out. The meat was all over cooked and way too dry. The waiter told us a couple of times that they have to cook the meat fully, they can cook the lamb medium rare but not chicken. He really tried hard to replace the meats, offered us some baklava and some rice rice and shawarma in a to go container, but we had to decline since we are not eating rice and aren't eating any gluten. We would have loved to have their fresh pita with the garlic spread. The raw juices are both good. They did charge us an extra $2 for the extra chicken kebab. Extra chicken shawarma meat would not have been an extra charge. The best part of the meal was the garlic spread, spicy zest sauce, salad, grape leaves, hummus and baba ghanouj, tabouli and roasted veggies. The meats were least thrilling part of our meal tonight. I have have all of the chicken meats at other places and they weren't as dry or required to he cooked as long as they cook it here. The flavors of all of the food, including the meats are all good despite the dry meat. Service here was quite good, attentive, accommodating, customer centric and friendly too. Food is generally good, would not get the chicken kafta again, stick to the chicken shawarma or lamb meats.
Coming during a slow time, we were the only ones in the restaurant to be seated and was immediately given bread and garlic, which to me was the highlight of my meal. The bread was nice and fluffy and paired very well with the garlic sauce. I had ordered the Lamb Shawarma Plate as part of the lunch special and I should have clarified because I thought it would be an actual Shawarma but instead it was just the meat and the sides. The meat for me was a bit too overcooked and bland and it took me forever to chew to get through it. The fries however were very nice and crispy and definitely helped break the monotony of just heating the lamb meat. During the meal, I saw a lot of people come just for the Shawarma so hopefullly this was a one off and the meat is definitely better as part of that, but would definitely pass on the plate for now.
We were in the area waiting few hours to take back our cat from emergency vet and we got hungry so placed an order online for pickup. It was still lunch time so we got lunch deals. I really wanted fresh pita bread and garlic sauce so ordered these too but once we got our food I noticed that there was far more garlic sauce and bread so it looks like they add it for orders and there is no need to order it unless you want a lot. I had a vegetarian meal with two falafel, two grape leaves and two spinach pies. It comes with fries or rice and soup or salad. I got rice and salad. Everything was very tasty. My husband had chicken shawarma plate with lentil soup. I tasted the soup and it was delicious. He said the chicken was tasty too. Great lunch deal including freshly baked pita bread and garlic sauce and very tasty food
Came here with my family on a Sunday night. The restaurant wasn't too busy and we received our food really quickly. The waiter was very kind and attentive. The food was also extremely good. We especially loved the garlic sauce and asked for more to go! The place is very family friendly.
A friend and I were in need of some dinner relatively late at night. Shish Palace was one of the few restaurants still open close to 9pm so we decided to visit. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly Shish Palace served our food. My friend and I both got a lamb shawarma and we both enjoyed it. The lamb was very flavorful and there were plenty of veggies in the wrap. In addition to the swawarma we were given complimentary pita and garlic sauce. Both were so good. Staff service was good and the people waiting our table were friendly. If you've never had shawarma before, this would be a great place to try.

I am visiting Michigan for an event. I wanted a good food to eat after a long day. Looked like Shish Palace is the right one for me. When I read the menu, my mouth was watering. Was waiting for it. Came here with my family on a Sunday night. The restaurant wasn't too busy and we received our food really quickly. The waiter was very kind and attentive. The food was also extremely good. We especially loved the garlic sauce and asked for more to go! The place is very family friendly. read more

On a snowy January evening my wife and I wanted to go out for dinner after countless curbside pickup and takeout dinners. Shish Palace did not disappoint. Our waitress Amanda, was very efficient and provided excellent service. She delivered fresh and warm homemade pita bread along with that Middle Eastern staple, garlic butter. As hungry as we both were, we had to remind each other to not eat all the bread before our meal. The lamb combination dinner included many of the items we both like (Kafka,grape leaves, meat pie, kibbee) so we decided to split it. We added a bowl of their very tasty lentil soup that was outstanding. It's hard to choose which lamb item was the best because they were all delicious. Both the kibbee and the Kafka were among the best I've had in a long time. When you combine great service with fresh delicious food in a clean dining environment, you cannot go wrong. read more

We came in for lunch today with some friends! We had eaten at their other location on Livernois before so we kind of knew what to expect. It was easy to find but today it was challenging because the parking lot was closed off and being resurfaced but we parked in a small area nearby and made our way to Shish Palace. Because it was Saturday and they had just opened and with the parking lot issue, we were the first ones there for lunch. Once everyone had arrived, we reviewed the menu and then ordered. My wife ordered the Fattoosh Tawook Salad with Grilled Chicken and I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Plate that came with choice of Rice or Fries (I chose Rice) and Soup or Salad (picked Lentil Soup). Then the fun began with freshly baked hot Pita Bread and two sauces for dipping: Garlic and a flavorful Tomato-based sauce that were both so good I had to alternate the bites. When he brought out the entrees we were a bit overwhelmed by the portion sizes. The Fattoosh Salad was fresh crisp greens topped with a seasoned and perfectly grilled Chicken Breast cut into strips. My Chicken Shawarma Plate was filled with a Toasted Almond Rice and a huge amount of Chicken Shawarma pieces along with a couple of large pieces of Grilled Carrot and Squash! Then a plate of Hummus was brought out for the table compliments of the owner. Of course we proceeded to stuff ourselves and of course we had leftovers to take home. Food and service were excellent as was our experience at the other location. And all this is just minutes from our house. Definitely will be back! read more

In college area.. went with other people who recommended. First they brought hummus and flat bread.. not a hummus fan. Ordered lamb plate .. with veggies. Lots of garlic. It was crowded and reviews were good but to be honest not at all my cup of tea. read more

We had a very good experience here. The shopping plaza has been under construction for a while, so the restaurant was not dealing with typical capacity. The server was very good. He brought bread with garlic sauce and marinara sauce to start. The bread was fresh and hot. We started with drinks from the raw juice bar. We ordered the Cobra, Strawberry-banana and lemonade smoothies. The Cobra is full on veggies and served luke warm. My husband liked it, but I couldn't drink a whole glass of it. The other two fruit-based smoothies hit the spot. My husband and I were both in the mood for salads, he ordered Chicken Greek and I ordered Fatoosh Tawook. My son ordered a side of lamb Shwarma. My chicken was over cooked, but my husband's was perfect. The lamb was a little dry, too. The salads on there own merits were fresh and good. We didn't order dessert, but the waiter brought three bite-sized pieces of baklava that hit the spot. read more
