The beef hummus ghallaba was truly beautiful
Frank M.

I love Lebanese food and appreciate having this restaurant in our area. After my third visit, I hate to say that I won't come again for quite a while. The front of house is not good. The only employee up front needs to spend time wiping down surfaces, refilling napkin containers, and sweeping the floor. The tables are only wiped to a line approximately 8 inches from the wall - it's clear that nobody lifts the napkin dispenser so that they can wipe the entire table down. The bathrooms are untidy and the men's faucet is not bolted down. When you lift the lever, the entire faucet pulls off of the sink. But that didn't prevent me from coming back two more times. What almost did was that our first order, despite having over $100 of really excellent food, included a large baba ghanouj that had gone rancid. I thought it was just a spicy variant but after a few more bites I realized I was just being stupid. My friends and I agreed that the "zing" was some sort of spoilage (probably fermentation) and I threw the whole thing out. I was up multiple times that night with diarrhea, which was probably not a coincidence. My second trip was uneventful, other than the lackadaisical service in the dirty front of house. On my third trip, we made the mistake of dining in. Having to look at the unwashed mirrors and the food scraps from the day before (we arrived early enough that nobody could have been seated and then left) was not a good ambiance. My fattoush was really good and my wife's ghallaba was as well (I'm even posting a picture of it because it was beautiful - the flavor was more reminiscent of pot roast than any other ghallaba I've had before, and I think that was a good thing). Unfortunately, the tabbouleh was beginning to spoil. I don't know how, because the parsley was still nice and crisp. The problem was that there was just too much "bite" to the dressing. My wife and I pondered it and are confident that it was off. And I just realized one answer: the parsley could have been fine but the dressing was spoiling. The first bites off the top were much better - trying some closer to the bottom of the pile are where I finally agreed with my wife that it was off. Worse, my son ordered pickled turnips with his meal and I absent-mindedly tossed one in my mouth (since I love them generally). I did a double-take as I chewed and, after another second, spit it out into my napkin. My wife refused to even try one because she said it smelled off. I smelled another one and, sure enough, it smelled like beer. Long story short: they can make good food, and I have enjoyed it. But 2 of my 3 visits have involved spoiled food, so I can't in good conscience subject my family to those odds again. I take no pleasure in this sort of review.

Good food. Chicken shwarma was great. Call ahead as it takes a few minutes if they were busy.

Why does this place only have 3 reviews on YELP?? Also - I'm not sure who Lisa B. is, the reviewer…read morewho left 1 star... but, c'mon - sounds like a disgruntled customer who wants to go out of their way to be nasty. I've dined at many, MANY, MANY middle eastern restaurants...so, I feel like I am absolutely qualified to give this place a very fair review. The food here is fantastic. It's super fresh and you can tell that each dish is prepared with care. The owner is always there, and goes above and beyond to make sure that the meal is prepared EXACTLY how you like it... I have YET to have a bad meal here - and I've tried COUNTLESS dishes...I expect at some point I will be served something I don't love - but, it hasn't happened yet! Also, a huge plus is that there is ample parking and it's well-lit - you can park literally in front of the restaurant and watch your car if you are so inclined. To be fair - the ambiance needs some work - so if you are going to ding this place, it's going to be for that reason. The lighting is very bright, which gives it more of a cafe/fast food kind of feel rather than offering softer lighting that draws people looking for more of a dining "experience" or date night. The decor needs some work too - it's very sterile with bright white walls and there is a random television hanging in a corner. But, people - PLEASE don't let that deter you in any way...because those are NOT the things that make a great restaurant... the food is what counts - and this place NAILS IT. They do a lot of carry-out - so just know there will be people coming in and out often - a GREAT sign of great food.

Went there today for the first time with my son and granddaughter. The food was fantastic. The beef…read moreShish Kafta was amazing on a wrap. The flaffal was amazing. Don't come here. I…read morethink we've ordered twice, maybe max three times takeout here. Everytime we order food here I just feel massively disappointed. The food is made quickly and it's convenient to order on a busy day but the food is always disappointing. This last time we ordered take out (tonight) we both got build your own bowls. We got very similar bowls that had either chicken Shwarma or chicken 65. Both our bowls we had ordered lentils. We both came home exhausted and started to mix our food up when we realized there were no lentils in our food. We called and the guy insisted they are in there. He said he made it himself. We both literally dug into our entire meals and said there are no lentils. We both took maybe one bite of our meal. The guy said the lentils are really small. I'm sorry..so small I need to bring out a magnifying glass? There are no lentils in the bowl. I told him calmly but firmly we are sitting here and digging in our bowls and there are no lentils. He told me calmy and firmly the lentils are there in the middle. Theyre not. I then asked to speak to a manager but the guy just laughed at us and insisted they are in there and he will give us more next time. I dont appreciate being laughed at. I have a full bowl of food that I have a photo of and will post here. If yall can find the lentils let me know. He then told us to come back and he'll give us a scoop of lentils and im like are you joking!? We are exhausted after a long day and we aren't leaving the house again. At this point I just got mad. When it was clear we weren't getting anywhere with the guy laughing at us on the phone I disconnected. I don't make it a point to call and complain to businesses (i can count maybe like...two other times i have done this in my 30 some years of life) but surely there was a better way to deal with a dissatisfied customer. Two bowls of food that are missing a key ingredient. I won't be coming back and do not encourage other ppl to eat here.

When we walked in, I was impressed by how clean, well lit, modern, and airy the place was. Large windows and cute green tabletop plants really warm up the place but the neutral gray tone made it all super chic! This sounds silly but I knew I loved this place the moment I took a sip of my ginger ale. It tasted like it had a splash of vanilla in it. It was super refreshing and delicious. The menu has so much I wanted to try it all. Everything was very reasonably priced! Wraps for under $10! My husband and I opted for the mezza plate for two so we could try everything. Again, super reasonably priced meal. It would definitely feed three people, we took leftovers home. I love how they brought out the cold plate first before the hot plate so that we could munch quickly bc we were so hungry. The tabbouli was delicious. So was the chicken. The pickled vegetables were a great palette cleanser. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend everyone to come here. Even the music was fun! We are definitely coming back.
