Stopped in yesterday and got a raspberry pie and a "walnut" brownie for myself. I ate the brownie on the drive home. It was dry, hard and contained pecans, not walnuts. Not a big deal for me since I like both walnuts and pecans. But still ... The pie might be the second worst raspberry pie I've purchased (second only to one that never gelled). First, it's salty. EW! It should be sweet and tangy. Heck, my husband wouldn't mind tart. But salty? No. Second, I paid $22 for a pie with what looks and tastes like canned raspberries. The filling if very syrupy, gooey. Either that or they misused ClearJel rather than tapioca or corn starch for thickening. It's so thick, it coats the back of your throat, like you've eaten corn syrup poured over smashed raspberries. It doesn't taste like the appropriate amount of sugar was added to the filling either. It does not taste fresh at all. It tastes like one I could have picked up at the grocery store.
