Other half of my "grilled chicken sandwich " :(( with onions?!!???
    Jackie K.

Gah I hate leaving bad reviews but after coming here since I was little I've seen a lot of changes in quality :( I got the "grilled chicken sandwich" and this is what I got (pictures). I paid $19 dollars. The pictures speak for themselves :/ really loved our server though. And Debby the bartender is the best!

I've been coming to Shipyard at Sugarloaf for many years. We are mug club members and I always love coming back and having the returning employees give me a hug and a hello! They are engaging and friendly, we love the vibe at the bar! When they have live music, it's the best! and the food is pub style with special entrees as well! In season, Pumpkinhead is the best beer! And if you need a snack, the coconut shrimp are delicious!!

    Our family enjoying NYE dinner!

We stopped at this place with our 3 teens on NYE hoping to get dinner when everywhere else at Sugarloaf was packed. We didn't have a reservation and they were switching things over for a NYE party, but the hostess was so nice and seated us and told us they would fit us in. We had a great waitress who told us it was only her 2nd night but she did a great job! Food was delicious and there was a great drink menu. We will return next time we visit the area!

Came here for a late lunch/early dinner around 3pm on a Friday. Place was not busy at this time. Appetizer sampler-it had a variety of things on it including onion rings, sweet potato tots, chicken wings, fries, fried curds, chicken tenders..dont remember what else...it was just alright. Everything was just fried. Nothing special. Needed some flavors. Brussel sprouts--delicious! Nicely flavored. It is a bit oily though.. But I guess that's why it's also delicious. Maine lobster mac and cheese--delicious! It was creamy, the cheese was not too heavy, big chunks of lobster, flavorful. It's a pretty big dish to be shared as an appetizer. Good enough amount for a table of 6 so that everyone gets a decent amount to try. I highly recommend this as an appetizer. Seafood chowder- it was decent. Potatoes were good. The soup is a bit more watery in consistency than new England clam chowders that im used to. Still flavorful though. Nice pieces of lobster. Joe's choice- it's basically a Philly cheese steak. It was delicious. The bread was nice and crunchy. The meat was flavored well and chunky. Cheese wasn't too heavy. Lobster grilled cheese--I tried a small bite and it was good! Bread was nicely buttered. You can taste the lobster. Flavorful.

This is the "gluten free bun"... literally what is this. $4 for this?! Absolutely ridiculous. It's literally toast on a burger.

Service was extremely slow. We have been here for 1.5 hours and we ordered our food at least an hour ago and still have not been served. The waitress has not checked up on us in an hour and the hostess asked us if we needed menus AFTER we had ordered and had been sitting there for an HOUR.... We are very confused and very hungry. Seems as if they are very understaffed but the service is not great. Food arrived after an hour and 45 mins. Completely forgot one of our orders and probably will take another hour to get to us. And the food came out cold. Extremely underwhelmed. We were completely forgotten about and so was our food. The food was not good and it was definitely sitting around for a long time. Not happy at all. The fish and chips were fried TWICE and dry. The French fries were cold. The French onion soup was ridiculous. I would give 0 stars if I could. I Will not be returning and i would suggest you don't either. I cant even type enough to describe our experience. We were just about to get up and leave before they came with our food. Edit: the waitress never checked up on us and was not very friendly. Customer service was just not good. They never explained that they were understaffed or busy so they never apologized for how SLOW their service was or that the food was cold. Our waitress did not seem trained at all. After I informed her I had a daily allergy, she asked what kind of cheese I wanted.... Just very poorly trained. She also forgot peoples drinks 3 times and brought the wrong drinks.

It's a Buffalo chicken pizza but the chicken is in the sauce.. kinda. 30 bucks.

It's a Buffalo chicken pizza ~30 dollars. The chicken is in the sauce but only like kinda in the sauces. Tasty pizza just needs chicken.

Teriyaki beef over wok fried veggies and sticky rice.

Solid bar at the Loaf. A good option for pizza, burgers and dinner specials. Shipyard beers on tap.

What we had, instead, over the course of a few visits: four different pizzas, three different salads, a few sandwiches, and lots of different beers. The pizzas were made with a thicker-style crust, I guess what might be called Greek-style in CT: thicker than a NY-style crust, thinner than a Chicago-style crust, and middle-of-the-road glutinous. Toppings were in good balance, a not-overly-sweet tomato sauce topped with just the right amount of cheese in our view. Pepperoni comes in wide strips cut from sandwich-sized slices, and versions we ordered with peppers or olives came with a fair amount of each. Our contingent of pizza snobs enjoyed, but did not love these pies. Sandwiches were pretty spendy, but appeared to be nicely filled, e.g. with chicken salad or deli meat, cheese, and veggies. The primary consumers said they were "okay." The three salads we tried (Cobb, beet, and King's Bag) were weak: so wimpy and mediocre for the price. (The ones down at D'Ellie's were far better!) I would emphatically not get these again. A few of our beers tasted as though they'd come from taps that hadn't been properly cleaned in a while. (Others were fine.) We hear there's a robust apres ski / evening scene here at times.... and the restaurant sure smells like it! It sounds like this restaurant has some strengths, which I guess we didn't quite hit. I'd come back with friends for apres ski drinks -- but probably not so much for the food (unless those drinks need absorbing).

It's the kind of place where you can kick back, warm up, and enjoy a drink without any fuss. Service was great throughout our visit, and we had zero concerns there. We grabbed a couple of appetizers to refuel, and both were fantastic. The honey barbecue wings were absolutely delicious, especially paired with the ranch and blue cheese sauces. The feta‑topped French fries were another standout--crispy, flavorful, and surprisingly addictive. We also ordered a couple of 16‑ounce draft beers, which were fresh and great‑tasting. Combined with the lively ski‑lodge ambience, it all made for a fun, relaxing break from the slopes. Overall, the Widowmaker Lounge is a great spot to unwind, grab a bite, and enjoy the mountain atmosphere. A must‑stop between runs if you're spending the day on the slopes.

We tried the nachos and the pretzel, both of which were good but nothing to write home about. Four stars only because the food was pretty average but then again still pretty good for on the mountain, resort-owned dining.
