    Gin cocktail

I had been following Shipwreck Eatery online for quite a while before I finally ended up here for lunch. I'm so glad I did! My husband got a breakfast sandwich with roasted red peppers, avocado, and cheese. I got the burrito bowl minus real chicken and with vegan chicken, sour cream and hot sauce on the side. Order at the counter and they'll bring your food out to you. There is indoor and outdoor seating (we sat outside on the covered patio). There's a gorgeous view of the St. Lawrence River and several islands. I wish I had taken a picture of the cocktail menu because I couldn't locate it anywhere online. My husband got a very tasty gin drink with ginger beer, and neither of us can remember the name. I think they need to make a bigger deal about the "build your own" salads, sandwiches, and bowls. I'm a picky eater with dietary restrictions, so many restaurants in this region are out of the question for me, but Shipwreck is perfect. I didn't even know I could customize my bowl until I saw that menu randomly on the counter. Kids will probably love to make their own creation too.

The person that took our order was very friendly and welcoming. The food and coffee were delicious! Beautiful scenery right by the river to enjoy as you eat on the outside patio. We will definitely be back!

Stopped at this small eatery for breakfast one morning in early October - Once you order at the register, you have a choice to sit at the small bar, several tables indoors, or covered outdoor seating in the back that overlooks the water. Food was pretty good and coffee (only hot available) wasn't bad. Staff were friendly. Not a must-go spot, but not unsatisfied either!

Great service, delicious food, wonderful river views from the deck. Hopefully you can catch breakfast or lunch here while they are open for the season

Shipwreck eatery is no longer open. There is a new restaurant call the sunshine Café in its place. I will post a review there.

Everything there is delicious and the owners are very pleasant people to know. I wish they were open year round.

Great food! Good vegan options also, not just an afterthought. Casual lunch place with a great patio over the water.

Returned to the Seaway Grille for breakfast and they were amazing, again…read more Maggie, our Server, did a fabulous job at keeping us comfortable and served delicious food with a smile. We ordered the following: 1,000 Island Omelet (ham, onion, bell pepper, cheddar cheese, and tomatoes). The omelet was accompanied by perfectly seasoned potatoes, strawberries, and rye roast. The other order was the Harbor Breakfast (2 sunny side up eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes, English muffins, and strawberry). Both of these selections were flavorful, filling, and cooked to perfection. I cannot recommend the Seaway Grille enough and am so glad that it's conveniently located within the 1,000 Islands Harbor Hotel.

I ordered the Christmas Margarita both evenings and enjoyed the pomegranate blended nicely with triple sec and tequila, sage and cranberry. The first evening it was perfect blend but the second was made too strong but packed with ice, so completely two different cocktail's. I ordered grilled filet mignon medium rare that came carrots and potatoes. Large bread basket with several butter options. Unfortunately the steak was delivered with no pink in the middle so well past medium rare. Still tender and juicy though with Auju, carrots and potatoes were plentiful and cooked and flavored well. The Christmas Margarita was taken off the bill to compensate for steak not being cooked to perfection. Both visits were very pleasant!

First off, their website is odd. Not much information, quite confusing, sometimes it won't even load (on mobile device), so if you're trying to make a reservation, call them directly. Location, beautiful, along the river, great outdoor seating. I'm sure dinner and sunset is stunning. Good, it was okay. We ordered kids breakfast, huevos rancheros skillet thing, chicken and waffles, biscuit and gravy, and the whisky flight. The huevos ranchero was good, nothing to rave over but good. The chicken and waffles didn't come with syrup at first, I'm sure it was a mistake. The biscuit and gravy... looked amazing, but the biscuits were hard. Like rock hard, and even after sitting in the gravy, no moisture would come back. Haha Service... the lady was so sweet, but she kept forgetting us, she would place hot things right in front of the baby where she would easily grab it. She had a hard time splitting the bill. Ultimately we had to ask another waitress for water refill and splitting our bill. Maybe we will go back... but not in a rush.

Last summer (2024) we went up to find they were not serving meals. Their chef left, they couldn't get servers... I'd check in before you go or ask at their place in Clayton.
