All of us complemented how clean and new the boat was. Also how fast we were able to go around the harbor. A lot of nice homes to look at and not to mentioned the seals that were so loud! Yes, so much fun!! Reservation online was easy and the staff was really nice. They also rent out other equipment as well, SUP, jet ski, kayaks and other stuff. Just check them out on their website. Our rental was for two hours and it went by pretty fast. But two hours is all you need and really that's plenty of time. Next time I would order from Toppers Pizzas. The restaurant was so closed by and easy for everyone. Would I recommend this to others....absolutely!!!

Once you are able to get your boat, kayak, etc. and you're set loose throughout the harbor, it's a wonderful experience. We came here on Mother's Day and rented one of their swan paddle boats. We had to wait around 20~30 minutes from when we got in line to when we were on our rental, but then had a wonderful hour paddling around the harbor. Really no complaints. And I will say that the entire staff was friendly and accommodating. They were doing their best to get people out on the water, docked back in, & all that. They were just swamped with people. I don't know if I would say they were understaffed as there's just limited doc space that more employees running around would just cause more issues. I just want to call that out. Be patient. They really are doing their best to get people out & enjoying themselves.

Literally , the boats have covered canopies! Coordinate with your crew on who's bringing what, and ensure you have snacks, drinks, and music! Is that too slow of a pace for you? Well then, an hour ride on some Jet Skis will do the trick! That's more of my speed anyway! The jet skis fit two people, but I prefer my own. They are way too much fun to share! I'm not getting stuck behind someone, holding on as passenger. I need to be driving! As you exit the marina area you're forced to go slow. Don't let that fool you. Once you move past the designated area, outside the jetty's, then you're allowed to open up the throttle! All the way! You quickly get going on these guys! There is so much to see out there in the sea! If you're lucky enough to ride out near the oil platforms, you'll get to catch a view of Sea Lions and Dolphins. It's a truly 'freeing' sensation to be out there among the wildlife and sail boats. While an hour sounds short for many, this is plenty of time for an adventure. I regularly visit during the summer months. The price point is reasonable. It's money well spent!

Santa Cruz Island was beautiful. The air here is pristine. I felt sick when I woke up with a headache and a little weird on the ship but the second I stepped onto that island the fresh air took me to 100%, and I was totally fine on the way back. We hiked the trail to the right as you get off and had amazing views at the top. Unfortunately it was difficult to get a reservation to be able to go, stay a few hours and leave on another ship. Everything was booked like 2 weeks out. The only availability was a boat in that arrived late because we stopped for the whale (worth it!) at 3:45, and we had to board to get back on at 4:30. Wish we had more time, but it was worth the trip. They must be a popular ferry because it's difficult to book what you want unless you book way in advance. The ferry stopped again on the way back to Ventura to pick up a balloon so the dolphins don't eat it, and when we took off again a pod of dolphins were surfing in the waves from our boat... SO COOL!!! Some of them right next to the boat. We would definitely use this company again, maybe book in advance next time we travel here, but we would try to see another island next time. The ride was fairly calm getting to and from the island. Felt like we were in great hands the entire time. The ship is clean and well stocked with snacks and drinks for your purchase. They also seem to be very knowledgeable when it comes to the rare whale sightings that can happen. We got lucky when the Captain saw some whale activity near by and slowed down to show us. He dropped a lot of knowledge about the animals and their habits etc. So we scored a surprise marine life lesson too! Thank you! Island Packers also do whale watching excursions btw. Overall: I would and absolutely recommend Island Packers for your visit to Channel island national park or anything else they provide! Super friendly and professional service all the way.
