We were planning to book this on Groupon, and when we called, Mark (the owner of the business) answered and was great with communicating the times available, the price and what we could bring. He let us bring some snacks and wine. He provided plastic cups and a cork screw for the wine bottle. Mark also happened to be our gondolier during our ride and kept us entertained with stories and jokes. His years of experience showed in a very smooth ride. Thank you Mark! We'd definitely recommend to others looking to book!! read more

I went thinking it would be boring, but this was the best boat type of thing of my life. This guy was so nice to talk to as well. Thank you

SERVICE: We enjoyed our trip. Our ride took place in Dec for the holidays/bday which can be a gamble with the weather, but it worked itself out. We had to reschedule due to high winds and our Gondolier Mark offered a discount of services which was very appreciative. Customer service is everything to us and he was on it. During the ride he didn't talk too much but chimed in here and there which for us was engaging. I'm sure you could ride "privately" with your party, but we're people folk. He too is ready for the photos as it's part of the experience. We laughed with him about it. The trip is an hour long and you ride in one big circle. People in their boats, etc. wave while passing and we were told it's tradition to kiss under the bridge. We asked about ages and learned children are permitted on the ride. WELL: Yes. I would return and would strongly consider this peaceful ride as an addition to your holiday festivities - Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, Birthdays, etc.! read more

Amazing Experience! Sometimes the best moments are the simplest ones -- breathtaking views, fresh air, and a gondola ride that was nothing short of unforgettable. Highly recommend it if you ever get the chance -- peaceful, scenic, and a perfect way to take it all in. read more

10/10 recommend! I booked the romance package for my anniversary today. It was perfect. Mark was so nice and when it got to the message in a bottle, it was so smooth! My bf and I can't stop talking about it. Thank you Mark for a wonderful time! read more

On a mini vacation with my kids. This is our first time visiting the area. When looking up "things to do" Gondola Paradiso came up. I knew this was something I had to book for us. We had the most beautiful ride and most important is that we all enjoyed it. The kids and mama were happy. Robert our Gondolier was spectacular. So awesome and down to earth. He played the guitar for us and shared some fun and informative information about the area. This was a big highlight in our trip. Thank you Gondola Paradiso and Robert for the beautiful experience. read more

We booked a gondola ride with this company for our 37th anniversary. The weather was a bit cloudy so we tried for a dusk ride in order catch any sort of sunset that we could. While that didn't happen, our gondolier made sure that we didn't return until the lights to the harbor area were being alit. While we waited, we were treated to a bit of a spontaneous music performance. The evening lights made the return all that much more spectacular. This company is very accommodating, making our anniversary celebration so much more enjoyable. We were beyond satisfied with our experience and would gladly book a ride with this group again. By the way, did I mention they allow dogs!!! read more

Such a fun evening being guided around the beautiful Seabridge waterways by Gondola Paradiso and our fabulous Gondolier Mark. It was the perfect evening to take a nice boat ride through the waterways and look at all of the beautiful homes, the calm waters, green parks, gorgeous sunset and numerous boats that were all through Seabridge. (Oxnard/Channel Islands) Our Gondolier Mark was so nice and had so much information to share with us about the properties in this area. We got to see a beautiful blue heron a wonderful sunset and enjoyed hot chocolate, wine and cheese and crackers. Would definitely suggest this as a gift for someone as it's a fantastic experience. I will definitely be visiting again! Thank You Mark for a fantastic evening! read more

We had such lovely time on the Gondola for my bachelorette party this weekend. It was a relaxing time on the water and our Gondolier (Josh I believe) was so kind and knowledgeable. It was a beautiful day and Josh set the ambiance with beautiful Italian music and even sang for us. It was such a lovely afternoon out on the water. Mark was so helpful in getting us booked using a coupon from Living Social and it is so nice that they provide cups/bottle openers and let you bring your own snacks and drinks. We had a lovely time and would recommend this activity to others in the area! read more

Mark is great! Such an amazing experience - totally recommend for a nice, romantic evening!

I had been curious for a long time - having been a customer of the gondola rides in both Long Beach and Newport Beach. It was a long drive to either location from my home on the far west side of L.A., and even longer when we moved to Ventura. I'm really glad I booked this trip with Mark. He not only is a great gondolier, the boat is clean, well-maintained and in much better condition than the gondolas in Long Beach or Newport. We brought a small Prosecco to enjoy during our ride, and availed ourselves of the "kissing bridges". We couldn't have picked a more gorgeous place or time. I have to say that I really, REALLY like Gondola Paradiso more than the Newport or Long Beach ones. The location is excellent; the weather is almost always great and the gondolier (Mark) is outstanding. Be sure to bring a sweater or jacket - even when it's 100º in the Valley. There's almost always a cool breeze blowing in off the ocean. Oh, and don't forget to tip your gondolier. There isn't an electric motor on these things, and it takes a fair amount of skill to row one of these things... read more

I've been dying to ride a gondola for the longest. When I found out there was an gondola ride in Oxnard, I informed my boyfriend. Of course he was down to ride the gondola. #boyfriendgoals haha. I called to schedule a ride and they were available pretty much all day. We decided on a 6:30pm ride to catch the sunset. When we arrived our gondolier was super friendly. He provided us a blanket for when it got chilly. Our 50 minute ride was really romantic. It felt like we were in a romantic movie. From watching the sunset, kissing under the bridge, and just simply being in a gondola on the water with your loved one...AMAZING! The ride was perfect way to celebrate our 1 year anniversary early. My boyfriend and I decided to make the gondola ride an annual tradition for us. 10/10 recommend! read more

Ever taken a gondola ride for two? I highly recommend it. And not that theme-park one in Vegas, but the real thing. And I can happily recommend Gondola Paradiso, in Oxnard. We were cordially met at the dock and gently helped into our gondola, which was the real thing indeed. My wife, who has a little trouble walking, received extra-tender care. Our seats were spacious and comfortable, the view was fantastic. Josh, our gondolier, has a smooth, deft hand with the oar and his running commentary on the local sights was second to none. And no one sings "Santa Lucia" better this side of Venice itself. Many thanks to Mark and to Josh for a truly memorable time. We will be back, next time for a sunset cruise! - thanks again, Harry and Sue M. read more

Bringing a taste of Venice to Oxnard on our 35th Anniversary. Who would have thunk it, except for Gondalier Mark who made our experience well worth it. Truth be told, we enjoyed it more than Venice, Italy's hustle, bustle commercial experience in the past. Weather was perfect, the sea was calm, and we were smooth paddling the whole way without a rock or tilt to be felt. A most memorable experience we will never forget. Thank you for broadening the horizon of The Southern California experience. It's a must do for Romanticists everywhere. read more

Wonderful experience! I surprised my wife and two other couples with this gondola ride and dinner afterwards. It was an amazing time, I brought cheese & crackers, drinks & desserts, and music too. Mark, our gondolier, was very intuitive, our group was very talkative, Mark sensed that and gave us a very peaceful ride, answering only when requested. I believe he would have brought interesting conversation, if that were desired. We left the dock at 4:30pm, it was perfect, just getting dark, lights were coming on all around us, as Mark navigated the gondola through the channels. The time spent on the water was just right. We stepped off the gondola and left for the restaurant nearby (Yolanda's-Excellent Mexican food). I highly recommend Gondola Paradiso! Don't miss out, it is the "something to do" that were all looking for. read more

Loved this private gondola ride! My boyfriend proposed to me on this gondola ride and paid extra to have rose petals sprinkled throughout the boat. He also took amazing photos of us which you can see below. He also has blankets, cups, and a bottle opener. You can bring your own snacks and drinks. I had been waiting for the right occasion to invite two other coupled to join us for the ride and it was a surprise, mission accomplished. Mark was very knowledgeable and told us a lot about the history and how the channel came about, it was very education and interesting, the only negative is that, I had expected the authentic Venice gondola (the red one) which is what is pictured in all the adds and it what I had seen others sail with, naturally thought that is what we were getting, but when we got there, we were told the red one is under maintenance and it will not hold 6 people anyway, which I am not certain of, we ended up in a custom made gondola which did not look like a gondola, more like a boat, partly my fault, I just assumed. read more
