We booked a gondola ride with this company for our 37th anniversary. The weather was a bit cloudy so we tried for a dusk ride in order catch any sort of sunset that we could. While that didn't happen, our gondolier made sure that we didn't return until the lights to the harbor area were being alit. While we waited, we were treated to a bit of a spontaneous music performance. The evening lights made the return all that much more spectacular. This company is very accommodating, making our anniversary celebration so much more enjoyable. We were beyond satisfied with our experience and would gladly book a ride with this group again. By the way, did I mention they allow dogs!!!

Such a fun evening being guided around the beautiful Seabridge waterways by Gondola Paradiso and our fabulous Gondolier Mark. It was the perfect evening to take a nice boat ride through the waterways and look at all of the beautiful homes, the calm waters, green parks, gorgeous sunset and numerous boats that were all through Seabridge. (Oxnard/Channel Islands) Our Gondolier Mark was so nice and had so much information to share with us about the properties in this area. We got to see a beautiful blue heron a wonderful sunset and enjoyed hot chocolate, wine and cheese and crackers. Would definitely suggest this as a gift for someone as it's a fantastic experience. We took a sunset gondola ride through the harbor, it ended up being foggy but Mark was great so we didn't mind at all. The ride was smooth, we enjoyed seeing all the homes and boats in the harbor too. We would definitely do it again!

I had been curious for a long time - having been a customer of the gondola rides in both Long Beach and Newport Beach. It was a long drive to either location from my home on the far west side of L.A., and even longer when we moved to Ventura. I'm really glad I booked this trip with Mark. He not only is a great gondolier, the boat is clean, well-maintained and in much better condition than the gondolas in Long Beach or Newport. We brought a small Prosecco to enjoy during our ride, and availed ourselves of the "kissing bridges". We couldn't have picked a more gorgeous place or time. I have to say that I really, REALLY like Gondola Paradiso more than the Newport or Long Beach ones. The location is excellent; the weather is almost always great and the gondolier (Mark) is outstanding. Be sure to bring a sweater or jacket - even when it's 100º in the Valley. There's almost always a cool breeze blowing in off the ocean. Oh, and don't forget to tip your gondolier. There isn't an electric motor on these things, and it takes a fair amount of skill to row one of these things...

What a great experience. Mark our gondolier was wonderful. We brought snacks and wine and hot chocolate. The ride was beautiful and so peaceful. Nobody on the water but us. What a beautiful hidden gem near Channel Islands harbor.

Me and my wife had a wonderful time. Mark was very knowledgable and fun to talk to. Better than most uber/lyft drivers. Only difference was it was on water not in a car lol. I would definitely recommend to stop by if you're in town.

Mark Did a great job with our tour. We had an 18 month old baby and she had the best time. He provided a life vest that fit great. The ride is very smooth, you can walk around the boat a little. She loved exploring The water for the first time. Overall the time passes very quickly, I can definitely see myself doing a two hour tour next time. Great experience read more

Very good experience. Proposed to my fiancee on the gondola with a message in a bottle. She loved it. We rode at 8pm, so it was dark (darker than expected). The darkness didn't take away from the experience, but if you want to take pictures, bring a light/lantern. read more

Seriously awesome. Spent a week in Oxnard July '17 and wanted something different for our last evening. I called and asked to book Gondola Paradiso for sunset (sunset was 8 so we went out 7:30 - 8:30 pm). Took my wife and two kids. TIP: Had a little trouble finding the dock - my phone app kept pushing me towards Vons. If you find yourself at Vons, go South (take a Right) onto S Victoria Ave, and then an immediate Right into the very next street, park, and walk towards the water. Your gondolier (aka Mark) will be the guy in the horizontal red striped shirt (easiest Where's Waldo ever). He'll take you in a real gondola around Coral Island through the Channel Islands Harbor. It takes around an hour. Near the end, using the acoustics of the Seabridge Lane bridge, he sang a song. Nice touch. TIP: Bring a bottle of wine and some glasses or, if you have little ones, like I did, bring some hot chocolate and cups. If it gets chilly, he has a blanket. Do it, you'll love it! read more

What a fun and different experience! My sister and brother in law were visiting from out of state and we thought this might be a fun thing to try. We were not at all disappointed. The gondolier, Mark, is very personable and made our trip quite enjoyable. The boat is beautiful! Bring some wine and some munchies and enjoy! It was lovely. This was the highlight of my wife and I's 10th anniversary vacation. Orders through Groupon, you have to call and setup and appointment right after you purchase. I called the number provided and was transferred to a voicemail. After about an hour from leaving my name and number on the first call, I called again and was greeted by Mark. He apologized as said he had got my voicemail but hadn't got a chance to call back, no worries. I was hoping to have setup a ride for that evening but it was too soon, so we set it for Saturday evening at 6:15 for near sunset scenery. Arrived to the docks around 5:30 just to walk around and see where we were going to eat after. I saw our gondolier arrive about the same time, but didn't want to bother him until it was closer to our appointment. Once it got closer to 6:10, I think he realized we were the couple as we were just hanging out near his sign. He came up to greet us and walked us down to his beautiful hand crafted gondola. Mark was dressed appropriately, very friendly and knowledgeable about gondolas, gondola history and about the Channel Islands. Also told us that the gondola we were in was an original Italian design, but handcrafted in the Pacific Northwest. It really was a gorgeous gondola. And it's simplicity is was what made it that. My wife and I loved all the views and small talk and singing Mark provided us (YES! He will sing you a serenade!) This was a great memory my wife and I will always remember. Thanks again! read more

Gondola Paradiso is the only location in Ventura County where you can go to have someone give you a ride on a gondola. When we were here there were jellyfish around us which is an event that has not occurred before this year. It was such a relaxing experience. While there were people walking around nearby it was so quiet in this area. The Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, CA is a perfect place for a Gondola experience. It takes about 50 minutes. read more

What a great little experience! 4 of us went on the gondola ride with Mark. All the reviews say he has a wonderful singing voice but due to Covid they said he wasn't allowed. So we missed out on that which I was looking forward to. We took pizza and wings with us and popped a bottle of cider. The sun was setting and it was a perfect way to end the birthday weekend. It was such a great experience. My fiancé and I were fortunate enough to enjoy an evening that began at 9pm. I highly recommend an evening ride. It was so calm and peaceful. The Gondolier Scott was amazing! He educated us on the techniques that are involved in being a Gondolier, and also sang a few songs that really brought out the culture of the experience. What a marvelous experience! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our gondola ride on a Sunday evening with Mark as our gondolier. Our ride began at 8pm with the sun low in the sky. So serene, smooth waters, and beautiful view. We saw a flying fish, cranes, and ducks. Mark sang "Happy Birthday" to me while we were under a bridge where acoustics were best. The sun set during our ride which allowed us to enjoy the lights on the electric boats passing by as well as the decorative lights on the homes along the channel. We saw a few pre fireworks and a young lady performing fire gymnastics during our ride. We listened to music and enjoyed the snacks and sparkling cider that we brought along. The blanket provided was much appreciated as well as the bottle opener and glasses to drink from. We loved our ride, and Mark is a wonderful gondolier! Definitely a unique experience you want to try. read more

We decided to do a last minute trip and had no chance to make reservations but they had an available spot and got in. Well, that was a very pleasant hour that we spent in the harbor. We thought it would be cold but the sun came out as soon as we started. It's a real gondola (all the way from Venice) and our manpower was provided by Josh. He was courteous and informative and we had a very nice time. We brought a bottle of wine and played a little Pavarotti on the iPhone. It's a fun little excursion and I would recommend it. Next time I would do the sunset trip - seems like that would be beautiful. read more

The gondolier/owner was in appropriate attire for the Venetian lagoon. Mark was a fund of information about his gondola, "Rosa", the palaces lining the estuary we were gliding through, and life choices resulting in a gondolier career. He also displayed a pretty good set of pipes as he unleashed under a bridge so could get some nice echoing effects. We highly recommend using his services. read more

This was our anniversary weekend getaway to California. We didn't get to celebrate our 10th because of Covid but this was the last surprise I had for her on our last day in California. Mark was so interesting. He told us the history of how his gondola was built. We did a pre-valentines day ride. My daughter and husband both loved it. The marina in Oxnard is beautiful. Due to it being V Day he brought chocolate covered strawberries . Delicious. He had plenty of blankets as it was a bit chilly but totally worth it. I highly recommend it. read more

Booked this amazing ride.... surprising my hubby for our 12th anniversary.....he was truly shocked wen we met Mark at the harbor gate and he lead us to his amazingly beautiful gondola!! We had our honeymoon in Europe of which we had the pleasure of staying a few days in Venice and we experienced a "real" gondola ( we have been on one prior to that staying at the Venetian in Las Vegas)! And then we went back to Venice for our 10th Anniversary and experienced our 3 rd gondola adventure!! I have to say this was the best gondola experience we have had...this makes #4! Thank you so much Mark for making it special!! And definitely do "message in the bottle", that made our gondola ride even more special!! Mark even sang for us under the bridge...it's so so worth the $$$$$! I even told Mark he needs to raise his prices!! I can't wait to hear about ur gondola ride w Mark!! read more

We enjoyed the sail over to the island where we anchored and had a delicious Mediterranean style lunch. We got to see a lot of Sea Lions, a few dolphins, and a huge Mola Mola Sunfish. My future daughter-in-law took her turn at the wheel and really enjoyed being able to do that! We had some pretty big waves on the sail back to the harbor but Captain Dan's and Dennis's sailing expertise navigated us back to the harbor safely. We highly recommend sailing with Sail Channel Islands

Our guides were amazing and they did a great job of pointing out wildlife and when we got to Anacapa, Felicia was really informative. My husband and I really enjoyed our time on the boat!

I booked this Gondola ride only 2 days before the cruise date, and Mark was more than accommodating. Aside from helping me choose the best time to go out on the water, he also was helpful in giving me a suggestion for a restaurant to eat at which was in walking distance from the dock. Theres several restaurants next to the dock, also frozen yogurt and starbucks. Mark let us bring our hot chocolate onto the boat which was nice since it does get a bit chilly. Mark was good at narrating the cruise at the appropriate times, while other times you forget that hes there because of how serene the experience is. He also did a couple of singing numbers that really sealed the deal for an authentic Gondola experience. I highly recommend this service at any time of the day for couples looking for something unique to do in the 805! read more

We had a great experience on the gondola yesterday. I had purchased tickets for my husband and I as a surprise for my husband for his birthday! I wanted to do something different and fun. This really fit the bill! From the moment we got there, Mark was graciously welcoming to us. On the gondola, he was as entertaining as he was charming. He answered our questions about the area with great knowledge. This ride was relaxing and just plain enjoyable! This experience is very relaxing. My husband and I have ridden with just us (romantic) and a second time with friends (fun). Both times hold unique and wonderful memories.
