I have rented electric boats with hopper rentals six or seven times in the last three years. The boats are always very clean ,and more importantly always hold a charge. I have gone out with friends and family for the whole day and have never needed to be rescued. Reasonable rates compared to other rental operations in the area. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, always looking to make your experience better. The last few times that we have gone out, they have put us in their larger boat and allow us to take our dogs at no extra charge. What a fun experience my husband and I had on a Saturday afternoon celebrating a weekend get away. The two guys that helped us were top notch. They explained everything in detail to us. We were allowed to bring food and champagne on board. We rented and paid for two hours to drive around the canals enjoying the homes and boats/yachts. What a great way to get out and see the Harbor! We made reservations for a Sunday afternoon and upon arrival, we were instantly taken care of. Life jackets for the littles, and a quick tutorial for driving the boat and we were off! We cruised the Oxnard Harbor for an hour. The cost was $75 (up to 8) per hour. An hour went quick and next time we would go for 2 hours. Lots to see while cruising along. Our kids loved seeing the seals and waving to boats. Nothing like a nice day on the water. We had a great time, the dock is very easy to push off from, the life jackets fit fine and the boats are smooth and easy to navigate. A friend of ours rented one of the electric boats here at Hopper Boat Rentals for his dogs 7th birthday party. Four adults and 5 canines boarded the boat with snacks and drinks hoping for a good time and boy did we have a blast! The boat was quiet and smooth running and the dogs adjusted quickly to being out on the water and settled right in as if they'd been boat dogs all of their lives. We went for an early boat ride with the family and grandkids, and the one hour ride was perfect. We picked up snacks at the donut shop around the corner (Spudnuts) and enjoyed them during the ride.
