Very disappointed with my visit to Shipley's. I ordered donuts, but they weren't even cut with holes , which is kind of the basic expectation for a donut. They also didn't seem fresh like they usually are, since they weren't taken from the back. On top of that, the donuts didn't taste very good. I've had better experiences at other locations, so I hope this store improves their quality and freshness. Oh! Also, I hope they can give me the correct cake donut for next time. read more

My daughter wanted to try the Shipley's by my house. It was around 2:30 and the selection was slim. They close at 6:00 pm and may not make any more donuts today I got a butterfly. It was not made today but not bad. Customer service was excellent . Not sure if I'll be back. The Shipley on Ella has me spoiled with hot donuts all day and night. Three stars. read more

Sadly I am writing this because I am no longer going to come here after my terrible experience yesterday. Ive lived in Rosenberg since '94 and have come here since high school and now as an adult. I've here on average once a month to as often as once or twice a week since I moved here. Now to my complaint: 1) many of the new hires are extremely rude and don't heat you or say hello like old staff did. 2) I don't always have my Shipleys coffee cup with me and I was severely overcharged for a refill. Ok with a Shipleys cup refills are .79 and they used to charge .99 for using your own cup. Now they charge you for a large coffee 2.79 and pour it in your cup. I will definitely quit coming until you stop overcharging. There are so many other places that charge less. After 20+ years of loyalty you've lost me as a customer read more

This was my first visit to a Shipley's doughnuts. I found a nice assortment of yeast and cake doughnuts. I purchased a dozen of mixed yeast doughnuts for the four of us. None of us had every tried Shipley doughnuts but everyone agreed they were delicious plus we'd order again. The chocolate on the iced yeast was very rich and chocolatey. The plain yeast were very fresh and tender with a nice amount of glaze. I was told the cinnamon sugar doughnuts were extremely flavorful. Overall, they were a hit. The highlite for me was the Old Fashioned Cinnamon Roll with icing. The roll was large, filled with gooey, cinnamon sugar, along with pecans, and just scrumptious. I highly recommend the old fashion cinnamon rolls. I will make a point to visit Shipley's Doughnuts when I come back for a visit. read more

Decided to come here since I was familiar with this place and had a craving for donuts. I used to come here often during the summer of 2017. It had a better upkeep and was welcoming then, however nowadays it's not worth another visit or the money. I ordered two jelly donuts and donut holes. Shipley's brings back a lot of memories growing up in Texas. I remember my dad would pick up glazed donuts from here on Saturdays and it was something I would look forward to eating while I watched my cartoons. Fast forward 20 years and my parents have downsized and moved to Richmond. I now live in Singapore where donuts aren't that big, so we stopped by here for old time's sake. This Shipley's is pretty straightforward. I stuck with my order of the glazed donuts; though it was tempting to get an extra order of donut holes. Coffee was okay, nothing to shout about. Service was good, cashiers were patient and food didn't take too long to get. Interior is a little old school, but clean. On a weekday morning, there was still a small line, so locals definitely stop by here. As this is a huge chain, it's not a place to go out of the way for, but definitely a convenient spot for the folks out in Richmond/Rosenberg. read more

The meat kolaches at Shipley's are amazing too! If you like brisket, you must try the Brisket Kolaches. I always come here for donuts. On Saturday it is usually busy even at 8:30 in the morning. There is adequate counter help. This is not my first time buying Shipley coffee and out of desperation this morning I bought a cup full well knowing it is not coffee. This is consistent at all the ilocations that I have visited. The coffee is like water with no coffee flavored I'm not sure if it over diluted or just a cheap off brand but if you really want coffee past it up and go to a coffee place.
