I had the opportunity to chat with the owner--must I say, he gives great customer service. Plus the donuts are amazing. They aren't overly sweet and they melt in your mouth. Definitely will be coming back more often. read more

Service was great! i'm a very tough judge when it comes to kolaches but i can honestly say they surpassed my expectations by a mile. The owner is so nice and welcoming will definitely be back. read more

The kolaches are very good. Customer service was excellent. The gentleman that helping today was very sweet and very kind. As the first time customer, I will definitely be coming back. read more

Pretty good local donut shack. I brought four different types of donuts and all four were delicious. The cost was about right for the area, less than $12 with tax for mixed dozen. The gentleman that helped me was very friendly. I will not hesitate to visit this ace again. read more

Very good donuts.....A lot of variety of choices and the owner gave good recommendations.

This shop has it all! Donut filled or covered. Kolaches of all flavors which is a must in Texas. And different egg breakfast options. Sometimes egg burritos or egg sandwiches. Perfect place to pick up breakfast for your family or when you're in a hurry on the go. Prices are great, $5 will get you full! And the services is the best. The sweet lady that works in the mornings actually talks to you while preparing your order. She genuinely loves to get to know everyone in her shop and makes it have such a welcoming neighborhood spot. Every time I go, I get different items because they all taste great and I like trying everything. read more

This is a great spot to stop for all your donut needs... they have a pretty big selection, and they stuff their filled donuts fresh to order. Plus they're always friendly when serving you! read more

I was looking around my area for some donuts to bring to my kids and came across this cute little donut shop. I got a bacon burrito (premade), half a dozen donut holes, a chocolate bar and a couple glazed donuts. Pretty tasty and fresh! Happy to know this place is around the corner from me. read more

This place is a family owned breakfast place. Just took takeout from them and they even offered 2 donuts at no additional cost. Always greeted with smiling faces when we go here. Due to COVID-19, they had so many leftover donuts. Please consider helping small businesses when deciding to do takeout - they have great donuts and tacos. Will I be back? Yup, one of our go to spots. read more

The donuts are delicious, and the owner is friendly. It might be better to get it to-go, and the restroom is spacious.

I have been to many donut places around Katy. This one is definitely the BEST! Sausage kolaches, jelly donuts, donut holes and ham/cheese kolaches all great. The staff is always polite and are very friendly. The place is also very clean! This place is worth driving to even if you do not live close. read more

LOVE LOVE this place! Went here last month while in town visiting. This place is such a gem, the donuts are hot and fluffy and delicious. The donut holes are so pop-able that you just can't stop. The variety of kolaches is outstanding and amazing, there is not a single thing that I got that I didn't like. The mini kolaches are delicious, the boudin kolaches are outstanding, the breakfast biscuit was okay, could have been a little hotter, but that's okay. The Apple Fritter was giant and delicious. Love this place! Wish I had one near me! I will make this a point to get here when I drive into town. read more

The freshest donuts I've had in a long time! I showed up around 8am on a Saturday morning and the case was full of options and the 4 donuts I picked were all incredibly soft and delicious. The staff I encountered was also friendly and made the experience even better. I would definitely suggest giving these guys a try! read more

Mr. Donuts & Kolaches - Softest, freshest donuts I can remember having. - Donuts Near Me - Katy, Texas

These donuts and Kolaches are delicious! We prefer this shop over Shipley's and Hurts Donuts. It has something for all of our family. The donuts are fresh and the staff is always friendly. read more

i think they probably changed owners bucause the food and services are getting worse. I kept going this place for last two years coz they had friendly staff. Who does not want happy smiles and a nice chat in the morning? I visit several times last three months. The current cashier no greeting, and no smile. I will go somewhere else from now for my donuts and kolaches. read more

My daughter wanted a donut on her way to school so I chose this place based on the previous reviews. She got a chocolate glaze and said it was good. I had a bite of her ham and cheese kolache and it was pretty good! I got a boudin kolache and a spicy sausage and cheese kolache. Both were delicious with an emphasis on the boudin one. We will now be torn between this place and Best Donuts when we have those carb craving mornings. :) read more

Really good spicy sausage kolache! Any donut shop that has a line forming to the door has to be good. The Boudin kolaches with good also but I chose to go with a couple of the jalapeno sausage kolache. I also saw very enticing old fashioned donuts but I decided to go with the donut holes and they were really good read more

Had very average kolaches and mixed donuts. Not the friendliest staff. I should have gotten breakfast elsewhere.

Came in on a Sunday at 9am and they were already out of glazed donuts... stood in a long line only to find oilut they were out, an announcement would have been the cordial thing to do since most people come to a donut shop for glazed donuts....not sure I have ever been to a donut shop on a weekend before 10a and they were out of the most basic offering....not a good look. read more

Came here a couple of weeks ago just trying new places near my home. I had the egg and cheese mini breakfast burrito and a donut. The burrito was extremely salty and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. After 2 bites I tossed it. The donut wasn't enough for me to return. Between the Shipleys and Kolache Factory within less then quarter of a mile away, this place is kind of a waste. 2 stars for the variety of donuts and it being a family run operation. read more

We had the sausage and cheese kolaches and a mixed dozen of standard donuts (glazed, maple, old fashioned cake, blueberry cake, etc). They tasted just like the products that I would get at similar donut shops that are sprinkled all over the north Houston/spring area (I lived out there for about 5 years). They have the boudain kolaches also but I passed pin those since they looked exactly like the ones I'd get at the shops one the north side...i figured they probably tasted the same. read more

Friendly mom and pop establishment. They gave my toddler an extra pink donut with sprinkles just because! I came here on a Saturday around 11ish strictly for the boudain kolache, which was sold out!! Regardless, I still order their jalapeño sausage kolache, a bag of donut holes, and half a dozen donuts. All of which I was very please with. I found my new donut place in Katy. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, their donuts are spot on. I mean some of them are good, others are fantastic. On the other hand, their kolaches leave much to be desired. They always seem to be less stuffed than other kolaches found in town (that is, more bread & less filling). Worse - 2 Sundays in a row we ordered kolaches only to get home and realize we'd been given the wrong kind. Worst? On the second Sunday, I mentioned that they'd gotten our order wrong the previous week so one would assume that the store would take extra care not to repeat the mistake. Nonetheless the mistake was made again. By the owner. C'mon guys - perhaps a labeling system might help? We have since stopped going. read more

Closed an hour after they are supposed to open. I drove all the way over here and woke up early AF to get some of these bomb kolaches and they are closed for NO reason whatsoever!!!! Wtf?!?!?? read more

Donuts are good and kolaches here are great. I HATE the small pig in the blankets at Shipley even though I love there donuts. This place is the best of both worlds. Jumbo pig in the blanket plus ham egg cheese croissant are my must have orders at a donut shop. read more

Love this donut shop! Really is a cut above the more typical places. Great kolaches and pigs with quality fillings. Friendly service too! This will be my local shop. read more

My son loves the small donuts and am a big time fan of their kolaches.... Nice and spicy...

Best breakfast place to go to in katy. Super underrated!

Sometimes... I have no idea what I would do without this place in the mornings. Best Kolaches around. Blows shipleys out of the water!

Great donuts and great customer service. The family that runs this place is so nice, even cooking donuts when they had just run out of the kind we were looking for...they offered and insisted on making them. read more

Quick, cheap, delicious! Great, convenient location. The kolaches and donuts are the highlight of my mornings. When my boyfriend cheated on me with my sister, Mr. Donut was my only source of happiness. Thank you for existing @ Mr Donut. Keep up the great work! read more

Back on good form and service, Best around by far, can get sold it on weekends

Decided to spoil myself with some donuts and kolaches before I start my miserable day camping out at the library studying for my exams. I loved their donut holes. They were soft, fluffy and delicious. The cheese and jalapeño sausage was out of this world. They were huge and the bread was sweet and soft almost like the Sweet Hawaiian bread but better! The sausage was super juicy and soft. Best sausage kolache I've ever had. read more

These are the best donuts around served by good people. The pwner is an authentic pastry chef. The kolaches are ehhhh average. If you are wanting to compare these donuts vs. Shipleys... These donuts are a 9 Shipleys a 3. Shipleys go back to Houston! read more
