The access to this location is horrible and the parking is even worse with the business being dark and somewhat gloomy. I purchased a 1/2 dozen with 3 of the donuts being the original glazed all of which tasted old and somewhat stale. The light was on during my visit and I wasn't offered a donut, which in my opinion is the quintessential part of Krispy Kreme. I didn't ask about the donut because customer service should have extended that offer. Don't think I will be back and quite honestly I prefer Shipley's!

I purchased one of each in their inventory for my aunts, uncle, grandmother, and parents to enjoy during Sunday afternoon coffee, and they couldn't even tell the difference. I had the Capn' Crunch Donut with a lovely purple glaze and Capn' Crunch on top. The donut was surprisingly soft, squishy, and fluffy. It was light and airy and just absolutely yummy. It was the sugar rush I needed for my drive back to San Antonio. My visits to Brownsville are getting more and more interesting with these new gems popping up.
