The 3rd time is a charm. As part of our move from San Francisco to Aurora, CO, we decided to ship…read moreour EV, rather than suffer range anxiety while out on the range. It was a big decision because we had used other services to ship other cars in the past and, on both occasions, those cars suffered pretty severe damage. We were referred to moveauto by the moving company that is transporting our household possessions. The furniture move coordinator assured us that we had nothing to worry about based on the fact that he'd been referring customers to moveauto for several years with no complaints. Here's what I liked: They picked up and delivered the car within the time range specified. At first they wanted us to drive across town to meet the driver in a shopping mall's parking lot. Instead, the driver said he could pick it up from our house. That was a big plus. They delivered the car on time and in good condition. Monica, who coordinated the move, was there to answer questions along the way. There was some confusion over the name of the trucking company that picked up the car (It was LVIV, not moveauto). We had some questions about the timing and logistics surrounding the pick-up, and she resolved them. The drivers were friendly, courteous, and efficient. The price was comparable to alternatives, and we figured it is on a par with what it would have cost us to drive to Denver, taking into account meals, hotel stays, and charging the car. I highly recommend moveauto.

The reason for the 4 stars rating is because they failed to provide the service that was clearly promised. PROBLEM #1: First of all, late pickup AND late delivery. Never promised specific dates, and I was alright with that, but never did I ever anticipate on my car being picked up 3 days late and delivered 2 days late. My representative assigned the driver in an hour, but I believe the pickup was delayed because of him. Although it was his fault he was very apologetic when he finally arrived to pick up my car. His excuse was that he had many late customers, but really... 3 days late!? C'mon!! & on top of everything the delivery was delayed because of road issues & traffic. PROBLEM #2: Talk about poor communication!! The driver was too busy or lazy to even return my calls. I called maybe 5 times and left messages each time and got nothing in return!! I believe I received a total of 2 calls from the driver, once when he was picking up my vehicle and once when he delivered my car. That's it!!! It would have been better if he would have returned at least one call while in the middle of delivery to assure me that my car was OK! PROBLEM #3: My car was delivered in extreme filth! I understand it's been shipped in an open carrier, but I didn't even recognize my car, that's how dirty it was!! Outrageous! It was dirty inside & outside, and all of the leather seats had mud on them. Basically I'm going to say this: DO NOT expect perfect results because nobody can do it, so choose whoever can do the job the best. Overall I was pleased with the results because my car arrived undamaged, but it was waaaay too much for me to handle. Too stressful and nerve racking to say the least!!
