My gutters were badly in need of cleaning, due to the recent dropping of live oak leaves and pollen. They were overflowing and the rain just pouring over them. I called Shining Image, as I used their service before and remembered how satisfied I had been then. This time was no different.I got a service appointment quickly and my gutters and downspouts are now clean and ready for the next round of rain. 50%, a failing grade. Window cleaning was average at best. Inside surfaces of several windows that I looked at had streaks from cleaning and visible haze. Power washing of front porch area was overpriced and inadequate, I'll end up redoing that myself. The front porch is aprox 15' long x 6' wide. I asked that the "whole area" be power washed as I was cutting wood on that porch and cutting tile nearby and there was saw dust in the windowsills, dirt on the concrete, spider webs in the window sills and ceiling and dirt dobbers on the brick. My receipt says "power wash" "front porch" "$50". The tech only washed the concrete and the ceiling with the power washer, and manually washed the windows, overlooking the fact there was sawdust and spider webs all in the window sill that my wife had to clean by hand. Like I said, I'll end up redoing the porch myself. I was not there to baby sit this contractor, clearly i needed to be. Received a call back, was informed that there'd be an extra service charge to clean the brick. No thanks. I paid for that already. you cleaned the concrete, ceiling, windows, but left the 15' linear feet on the porch of brick and windowsills filthy. Who does that? I know, a company that's only concerned about profit, not quality. Not the best $350 I've ever spent on this type of service. I'll be the last time I fork over that kind of money for the work provided. read more

Overall the two guys who came to our house did a fantastic job. Abel and his co-worker were friendly and very respectful of the items inside our house. They were careful when moving ladders around inside and out and didn't impact the house in any way. The windows cleaned look great and we can see outside again! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that after they left I realized they missed the outside of two windows. They could have been a little more thorough. But, good job overall. I'd definitely use them again. The $179 special for 30 windows is a great price. Plus, he mentioned to me a special where you can get on a regular cleaning plan that is even less. read more

The windows on a home from the 70's probably have never been professionally cleaned. Shining image came and amazed me. The windows were so clean I walked up to touch them to make sure the glass was still there because they looked like you could walk right through them. I have hired window cleaning companies many times before, I have never seen a company that did as bad a job as this one. They didn't finish the job as they promised and they look worse then they did before they were cleaned. I found three windows that they didn't clean at all. When I contacted company to let them know about not finishing the job, they promised to return and they never did . Do not waste money on this company. I hired him to do 20 windows. I paid in full the agree upon price. He did a good job of the windows he cleaned, but he missed one window. I called and ask that he come back to do the one he missed. The receptionist scheduled him for a day he would be in the area. Towards the end of the day, I called and asked if he was coming. We have used Shinning Image a few times with no complaints. However, this time the window cleaner did not secure his ladder and fell; fortunately he was unhurt but the wall and plantaition shutters oh, and a 25 year old ficus tree were not as lucky. We agreed that the tree was not able to be replaced. I fixed the wall but the shutters needed professional intervention and Shinning Image was going to pay for that damage .....been 4 months since the bill was sent to them for the shutters and several email folow ups and no response. didn't think I need a damage deposit before the work started. would have used them again but not if I don't get the damage paid for as promised. Rob at Shining Image is Fantastic. They had a coupon in a Val Pac so I thought I would give them a try. We have a big home with lots of windows. My appointment was made for the following week. Rob showed up right on time. He explained the products he was using and gave us an estimated finish time. He also gave us the price for the extra windows (we have more windows than what the coupon was for) before he began cleaning. They never showed up for a SCHEDULED appointment - even after I called that same day to CONFIRM the appointment. Never called even though I was ASSURED by the receptionist that they WOULD CALL if they were going to be late. I called on a Wed and got an appointment for Thursday between 3 and 4 pm for someone to show up and give me a quote to get my gutters cleaned. On Thursday at 3 pm I called to CONFIRM that the guy was coming - and I was assured that he would be there between 3 and 4 pm....the receptionist even told me that the guy would be there but would call me if he was going to be late. Well, no phone call and no guy. If they're this unreliable when I'm trying to get someone to show up to give me a QUOTE, I can only imagine how unreliable they would be in doing the actual job. Needless to say, I will not be using this company and I will recommend to my friends and neighbors that they also use another provider. read more

I had an appointment at 1:00. At 1:30 I called their office to see when they would arrive. I was told that my appointment was between 1:00-2:00 which was not what I was told when I made it. At 3:00 they still had not shown up so I called the office again and was told that their first job took longer than expected and since I was their third job they wouldn't be able to make it to my house that day. I had painter's lined up to come the next day and had to reschedule with them which threw everything else I am doing off. I asked to have someone in charge call me. I finally got a phone call at 5:36 to tell me they were sorry they couldn't make it. This company obviously overbooks so don't use them if you need to know that they will honor the appointment they make with you. read more

After waiting 3 1/2 hrs for the guys to show up I found out they came from Florence to S. Austin. Had I known that when I called the 1st time after an hour of waiting I would have rescheduled. The guys were great and did a great job. My windows look wonderful. When I got the invoice to pay I was shocked to see on the bottom it said handwritten *TIPS NOT REQUIRED BUT APPRECIATED*. Although there was a mix-up on the time scheduled (I had scheduled them for a Saturday, and they had me down on their calendar for Monday), they told me they were sorry for scheduling me incorrectly, and said they'd be over that day. They arrived 30 minutes after we spoke on the phone, and did a great job cleaning 15 windows. Even though I had a Google offer coupon, they worked as hard as if I had paid full price. My windows are sparkling clean--he did an amazing job! Even with all the work he had to do, he was done in about an hour. I was very impressed and would definitely use their services again. The window washer showed up ahead of time, unlike previous cleaners and window washers from Austin that never showed when scheduled. He did an amazing job on my windows, some that had never been cleaned in over 4 years! Not only was he prompt, but conscientious and mannerly. I was in a pinch, my regular window cleaning company didn't want to keep a scheduled appointment because threat of rain. Called Shining Image (along with others as it was Memorial weekend and I didn't have an appointment). Jesse Mings called within 5 minutes. In an 90 minutes he traveled from Rockdale to Westlake. He walked the house , gave me a bid and got to work. This guy worked his tail off in the rain and his smile, cheery disposition, or tireless work ethic never faltered. He recognized that we were in a pinch in a far from ideal situation and knocked out 55 windows, inside and out like he was at six flags having a great time. I bought a Morgans deal online for window washing for 15 windows. The guy came a little bit late, but it didn't matter as I was going to be home all day. He did a phenomenal job! This is the second time I have used Shining Image. They arrived the first time without the ladders needed and I had to reschedule early Saturday morning, the day I had company coming at 11:30. They arrived promptly and started right away. I was told they would leave the invoice on the porch so I could check for correctness and it was not given to me until they were leaving. I was rushed then to finish getting things done but I called the office Monday to report they overcharged me from the last time and wasn't given a reason why except "maybe taxes?" I further reported they left the gate open so my dog could get out, broke a few branches off one of my crepe myrtles with their ladder, moved a patio table with a heavy umbrella stand and did not return it to it's place, left 50% of the screens off track, and I had 3 windows that they missed large areas on. Harry came out and my Mom showed him the windows on the patio that I had reported, he said "they look clean to me" and called the office and asked how I paid. Found out it was by credit card and left asking for me to call back. I called and left a mesg at the office and have yet to hear from anyone. LKS read more
