After combing through the reviews on here, I gave it a go yesterday. I'm very familiar with eyebrow threading, but I've bounced around a lot because I never felt like I was getting the perfect job done. My last threading experience had my brows looking a little thin, so after several months of letting them fill in, I took myself out to get them threaded. When I walked into the shop, there was no one in there! I was prepared to wait and thinking "score!" Because all of the reviews claim a wait time. The shop was clean, they had Ellen playing on the TV, and some really beautiful Indian music playing. The girl behind the counter (I can't remember her name, it started with an R!) Was very welcoming and when she sat me down, she asked if I've ever been threaded before and really listened to what I wanted. Once we had a game plan, she then suggested that she will do one brow, have me check it, and then do the other. I loved that!! She got started and made great small talk with me, and it was so gentle I almost forgot where I was! That has never happened to me before! My only qualm about the service is the use of bath and body works hand sanitizer on my face, but next time I'll just bring my own stuff and ask her to use it. My brows look flawless and i feel great about them. The cost was only $10, a steal in my opinion, for the excellent service they are offering. And she gave me a punch card! A free threading after 6 threads. This shop is probably the best in town and you are silly if you don't go to them. read more

Shila is great but if she doest do the services herself you will leave upset !!!!! Always a long a wait for her , so today I decided to try her second chair because why not give the girl a chance for a small clean up on the brows ! Super easy I thought! Immediately after sitting down I could feel the way she even handled the thread wasn't right , and instead of focusing on her craft , she felt like small talking about Christmas was way more important . Before letting her even make my eyebrows look even more trash then they were ,I jumped up and canceled the other services . Truly disappointed!! Partly my fault though . I should have waited for Shila . There's no way I would want a business and can't even get a second chair with atleast a small fraction of the skills I'm sure the whole business was built on !! My friend recommended me to Shila about 5 years ago and I haven't let anybody else touch my eyebrows since! I have very thick eyebrows, but Shila always manages to make them look so nice and clean. I get many compliments thanks to Shila! She does a great job every time. I don't know where I would go to tame these eyebrows if I didn't have her. Now that they do appointments, it's become a lot quicker and simpler to get my eyebrows done. Although, I work an on call job, so I can't always make an appointment so sometimes I walk in, put my name on the list, and wait until I can be seen by Shila. I found Shila Eyebrows Threading through Yelp and since I never wanted to go back to the eyebrow threading business at Town Square, I decided to give this place a try. By the time I arrived there in the morning as a walk-in, there were a few people ahead of me, but it didn't take as long as I thought it would. The chairs were comfortable and I spent my time on my phone. When the lady called my name, she asked what I wanted and began to work. She was wonderful. Unlike the other place I have gone to that I won't name, the employees here are sweet and don't mock their customers. With everything she did, she explained briefly what she was about to do. She asked if my eyebrows were how I wanted them to be (they were) and she always made sure to ask if I wanted this area on my forehead threaded or not. It was refreshing to have good looking eyebrows and employees who weren't rude. I'd definitely keep coming back for my threading needs because of the employees and great customer service. My friend introduced me to the rainbow location, but I live closer to this OG one so it's been my go to spot. If you go during the week, not prime hours when people get off work there's not much of a wait. Whenever I go Saturdays I usually have to wait a little while. When you come in just go straight to the paper in the front and write down your name because they make you do that even if there's no wait. I'm usually satisfied with my eyebrows and get complimented, but the last couple times have been here, my experience has been kind of subpar because I kept getting this girl that would leave stray hairs, which is the reason to go in the first place--get rid of all stragglers! I went in a couple days ago hoping for a better experience but I ended up telling the girl "can you clean it up more there's still random hairs in the front of my eyebrow" she kind of looked at me like I was crazy and replied "oh, you want me to clean it also?"....ummmm isn't that the point? They're really nice here so I'll probably go again, but you most likely want to request certain people here to make sure you're satisfied or you can just inspect your brows very well before leaving. read more

It's actually a funny story how I found Shila... I was 15 years old with caterpillar eyebrows when a friend recommended me to her. At this time she was an employee at another establishment. Friends and family would compliment my brows and ask who I went to, eventually a large group of us were regularly seeing Shila. Some time later without warning, the owner of that business told us Shila "returned back to India". I remember being so bummed because as most women know, finding someone who shapes your eyebrows well AND has a gentle touch is hard to find. It was a good 3 years or so when I received a text from my sister telling me her friend found Shila- she hadn't moved to India!! The real story was Shila had quit and moved on to another threading salon and to avoid losing a lot of the inquiring patrons, the first owner lied and told us that she moved back to India As soon as I located her, I notified all of my friends and family! 15 years later, Shila's got her own successful salon and she's still the only one I trust with my brows-she's THAT good! As far as her other employees, if Shila's incredibly busy and I forget to book an appt, I've gone to a couple of the other girls at her business. They're great too however, as you can tell by this hilarious/bizarre reunion, I'm clearly loyal to Shila Hahaha. read more

I am very picky about my eyebrows and Shila is one of the two people i have ever let do my eyebrows. She is absolutely amazing and so kind. My family and i have been going to her for years and we definitely don't plan to stop. Shila really understands how your eyebrows should look based on your face and how you want them to look. I've done my own eyebrows since I started grooming them, with the exception of 4 stylists before giving Shila a try. Everyone prior to Shila couldn't provide the results I wanted, even with step-by-step instructions. I heard about the horrible pain threading has, but I decided to give it a try anyway. Shila is excellent at her job (it gets a little tricky because of my scar causing my hair to grow a certain way!) I'm always satisfied when I leave and get complimented on how great my eyebrows look. Regarding the rumored pain, Shila's technique is extremely gentle. Plus, she trims all the right spots and gets every single hair that needs to be removed. I'm so busy with school and work that she has to start from scratch sometimes and I don't even need to give any directions. I'm a loyal patron for sure! I've seen one other stylist at this location, she does excellent work as well. My favorite is Shila though because her technique provides the least amount of pain. read more

If you are thinking about eyebrow threading, the girls who work here are professional and quick, while still maintaining pride in their work. Although the girls specialize in eyebrow threading, you can also opt for waxing. I can attest to their waxing as well, but I prefer threading after all these years. What I also like is the fact that the girls feel comfortable enough suggesting I "go thinner" -for example on my left brow if needed. I've been coming here (both locations) for over 3 years and have been happy with the service I have received from Roya. Roya does work certain days at one location and certain days at the other. If you have a certain way you want she will do her best to accommodate your needs and be willing to fix what is wanted. The other technicians are accommodating and good as well. I have experienced Shila based on the reviews as well but found due to overwhelmeing demand that you should make an appointment or you will wait for her specially at the Eastern location, with her overwhelming demand that my eyebrows have falling short. read more

I came here the other day based on the awesome yelp reviews. While nothing terrible happened, I'm not really sure what all the rave reviews are about. The space is very nice. Clean, minimalist, TV was not on too loud, large waiting area. When I walked in, neither of the two ladies working bothered to greet me. I saw two people sitting on the couches apparently waiting to be seen. I looked around and found a sign-in sheet. I'm not sure they were even using it, but everyone appeared to be seen in the order they came in, so it doesn't really matter. My eyebrows are somewhat thinner than I am normally used to, but I guess it's my fault for not telling her before that I don't like my brows super thin. Also, my eyebrows & upper lip were a lot more red than they normally are after threading and stayed that way for longer than usual, but maybe my skin was extra sensitive that day. Finally, I broke out like crazy above my brows and above my lip a couple of days later, but I suppose that could be chalked up to my poor diet during exam week. They did a perfectly decent job, and there are too many factors to decide whether or not my skin issues afterward were their fault or not. There was definitely correlation, but I will not claim causation... I'm just not sure I'll be coming back here any time soon. Used the yelp deal to get my eyebrows done and am happy with the result. Other places I have been to have not been able to fix a slight issue with my eyebrows but the lady here did a great job! The only downside is that the place was crowded and it seemed like they were taking longer than usual. however, I think quality results do need time so, yes, I will be going back here soon! I tweaked my eyebrows after visiting because they needed it... Some people have nice, naturally arched brows, but I don't. My eyebrows aren't very thick either, so in order to give them an attractive shape they need to be made a bit thinner (nothing crazy though). I came to this place because it was on the way back from my salon and it had good reviews, but after she was done my eyebrows still had no shape. She cleaned them up and made them even, but they were somewhat sloppy around the edges and I came home and brought my arches up and took care of some stray hairs because she didn't do that. I used to go to this awesome lady back in Novi, MI and she did an outstanding job but it is SO SO difficult to find people like that. For now I'll just buy my own brow scissors because with the exception of the lady in MI I can do a better job myself... I even sent my best friend before/after pictures and she liked my eyebrows better after I touched them up. If your brows already have a great shape and you want to pay to have them cleaned up--go for it. You could probably do the same thing yourself though. I shouldn't have to tell an eyebrow "expert" what I want her to change. She should be able to give my brows the best shape for my face type instead of avoiding all shape just because she doesn't want to reduce thickness at all. That doesn't work for me, but hey! Now I know not to waste my time or money. At least the people were friendly. read more
