Now we live in East Texas, four hours away from Mineral Wells. The gloves were "marked down" between $11-12.00 per pair. Which was a good price. When we checked out at the cash register, my wife paid for them and I had already walked outside so I assumed that she was watching the prices of the gloves and what was paid for them and then got her receipt. Well you know how assumptions go. She didn't get her receipt, nor did she pay attention to price that we were charged for the gloves. Unknown to us the one pair of gloves that we thought was on sale for $11-12.00 that was placed in the sale section area was actually over $39. Oh hell no.. So we called the store after verifying through our bank what the actual charge was to explain the situation to them. That the gloves were placed in the sale section and marked as being on sale. How far away that we live from them and if they would adjust the sale and credit our card back to our bank of the difference. NOPE, NOT HAPPENING. Okay, can I return the gloves and get my money back even though I've used them? Sure you can. So you're going to make me drive over eight hours to return gloves, that your company erroneously placed in the sale area instead of providing excellent customer service to a customer which it will cost me over $100 in gas, wear n tear on my vehicle to get my money back? That's your choice Sir. I'll see you in two weeks, print your copy of the (my) receipt out and put my name on it, so that there is not confusion because I'm making this trip to return both pairs of gloves. This past weekend we witnessed a customer being verbally abusive and aggressive to the staff and a customer and their child. I hope they ban him from NT. I felt horrible for the staff as he was the aggressor.

And then two white girls walked in shortly after me, and Janessa (I believe that's how you spell her name) said hello and welcomed them. Not once did either of the older (white) ladies at the counter tell me they'd be right with me; they just acted like I wasn't there. Then this younger (white) girl named Cydney came out from the back who also saw me and looked past and greeted the girls and immediately went to help them. Cydney then came around near the area I was, and I told her, "Can you help me? I was actually here before those girls," and she was going to ignore me, so then I said, "Ma'am, hello? I've been waiting a while now for someone to help me long before the girls you're helping" and then she said, "I'll be right with you" and proceeded to walk back to the other side, but I guess she processed what I said and came back to help me. Then she asked me what I wanted, and I told her I was just picking up. I told her it's sad that I walked in here and no one greeted me, and then those other two white girls walked in and they DID get greeted. Then you come out and ignore me too and go straight to helping them. And she was like, " I'm sorry, we're just understaffed today." And I told her "No that's not why; I see exactly what's happening here! I'm being treated poorly because I'm not white, and that's wrong!" And she didn't know what to say so she ignored me and went to get my bracelet. I then asked her for her name and the other two women, but she only gave me hers and Janessa's. She asked if I wanted to wear my bracelet out (and I did). Then she finished the experience with "hope you have a better day," which was even pettier and unapologetic. I am beyond disappointed and degraded. I really hope James Avery works on the people they are hiring. Because this is a place that I've always held to high standard, not just because the founder was prior military but because they claim to a Christian store who (doesn't discriminate) treats all of their customers like family. If that were true they wouldn't have belittled me for being a Hispanic. This issue needs to be addressed immediately because I would hate for anyone else who is not white to feel the way I did that day. No one should be treated any less because of their skin tone, at the end of the day we are PAYING costumers.
