I spent over $15,000 at this store and when I tried to return a few unused items, they refused. I was told the supplies were not in a condition that could be resold, not quite the truth. In fact the company sent a truck to pick up the supplies, then was supposed to issue a credit, three weeks go by and no credit. I called the store, spoke to Dave and he told me someone would get back to me the same day. No response, I called the next morning and was told by Sean that they could not issue a credit.Then they sent a truck back 30 miles to drop the supplies off. How is that for customer service, spend $15,000 plus and they won't budge on returns. I was even willing to pay a restocking fee. The operations manager of Sticks and Stuff appears to be a small town narrow minded short sighted individual that needs additional business training. He certainly has no business acumen, planning on building a 2 car garage and a redo of my second floor porch, there is no way that I would even consider buying supplies and material from Sticks & Stuff Derby. I recently spent about $800 for wood floors and a screen door and wish I could return. I called and spoke to Rhiannon, who was very polite and friendly. She connected me with Shawn and he listened carefully and found the account from the prior owner. It ends up that they only put in new glass in several of the windows, but he offered to have their technician come and see what might be wrong with the window frames. The technician Josh was close by, doing a job in Montpelier. He came soon after and was so helpful, even helping with the screen door. It ends up we just needed some help understanding how the cranks work (they are a bit different than ones we'd had previously). Although I ended up not needing to make a purchase at this time, the stellar customer service means I will call them if I need their help in the future.

In my apartment at the time there was a window broken, which I called to have fixed. Shortly after they came and fixed it, I had extricated myself from the relationship and was working hard to find housing. In the midst of this trying time, I confided in the office manager about my predicament and she told me that they would not charging me for the over $100 repair. Wow talk about being made feel like a criminal. Walk into store to pick up two items I needed to…read morefinish a job and although one very nice older gentleman and Terry were very friendly I had two other employees stalk me in the store as if I'm filling my pockets with items. I admit I get excited in hardware stores and enjoy browsing tools that I might want to buy but to be made out to be a thief is really unprofessional. I wouldn't go pay for my items and give them my phone number for my rewards after I just had stolen anything. I take pride in myself by being a friendly trustworthy person. I don't steal from anyone. As I walked out of the store I told the lady at the front door to have a good day and she replied accordingly but in a snarky patronizing way all the while not looking me in the eyes once but blatantly staring at my pockets and my front sweatshirt pocket which had my cellphone in it which I'd put a million dollars she assumed was a stolen item. She did it as if to say " hey scumbag I know you just stole something." I almost walked back in immediately to empty my pockets to prove to her I had stolen nothing. But I don't owe that to anyone.
