The staff is super welcoming and always ready to assist you, unlike those big hardware chains in LA where you can wander around for ages before someone notices you! There's a couple of friendly kitties lounging around also. Recently, I found myself in a bit of a bind because my power was shut off for about 5 days due to the recent fires, so I couldn't use my tools at home for this project.. I popped into DIY to grab a solid 10ft steel pipe for a flagpole to support my Starlink, and that's where Raemon really came to the rescue! He was incredibly helpful, drilling the holes I needed, searching for the correct bolts and screws I needed, even offering to deliver the pipe to my home since I didn't have a vehicle that could handle it. I really appreciated that he took the time to help, especially since he was about to clock out. I tried to offer him a tip and gas money, but he initially refused, though I insisted! They're also able to match pretty much any color of you bring them a clean sample at least an inch wide. As a non-contractor, this store was very easy to navigate and the staff was more than helpful making sure I got the correct supplies. What I noticed during application of their paint is that the roller does not splatter much and has excellent coverage, which is helpful for interior ceilings. Relatively great value, don't waste your time and money at Home Depot or Lowe's for watered down paint. Highly recommend this place!

One painter in particular was such a perfectionist that I watched him run his hand over the walls looking for imperfections from previous paint jobs that needed attention. I started calling him "Mr. Majestic." That level of pride in workmanship says a lot about the crew. Martin also made the process easier from the beginning. We were comparing three contractors, and he included proof of insurance with his proposal without making me chase it down. The crew worked hard, moved furniture as necessary, did an excellent job cleaning up, and even helped rehang pictures. And providing a professional paint designer as part of the project may have saved my marriage! Anyone who has tried to get two people to agree on an entire houseful of paint colors will understand. There is one thing Martin and I both probably should have discussed more--the color on the stairwell. We're replacing our front entry door, and I decided to wait rather than spend the additional money now. In hindsight, I was being "penny wise and pound foolish." That's on me as much as anyone. Once the new front door is installed and we've settled on its color, Martin will be the person I call to come back and finish the stairwell the way it should be.
