We found the right aisle and searched for about five minutes before I searched online and confirmed they carried what we were looking for (and confirmed correct aisle). Followed that confirmation I slowly scanned the labels and found that the 1/2' post was filled with 1/4' drivers. I waited a few minutes before finding someone to assist with finding 1/2' stock in the back but he ended up finding one right in the aisle (in another brand section). There was a sweet dog there I was able to pet too. Yay for dog friendly stores! Upon self checkout there's no barcode to scan nuts and bolts so the kind woman manning the self checkout entered them quickly for us and we were on our way! No bad experience here and I would return.

There are those places which we want to keep to ourselves forever. Wonder Products Paint is just…read morethat place. After shopping here for a little more than three years, I think it is safe to share. There is enough paint to go around. It is located on a section of South St. that goes one-way towards Downtown Orlando. Access Primrose St. from whichever direction north or south and then turn towards west, this is a one way. Parking is restricted to street level along South St., be extremely careful with traffic. This is not your big box hardware store with tons of people at your disposal to guide you to every little piece of fancy tool or gimmick you see on HGTV. The limited number of people who work here are extremely dedicated and knowledgeable in their product. If you ask for something specific and they say "We don't have that." Believe them. They know. The store is crammed into a little space with very narrow walking aisles. However, the staff here is knowledgeable and can definitely find anything comparable to what your favorite HGTV host was talking about. Normally, the people who shop here are private contractors with small individually owned companies. The claim to fame here is paint. They have over a gazillion gallons of paint stored inside and out back, yes....in the backyard. You name the most fanciful of paints, they have it. From the $55 a gal Benjamin Moore Aura, Pratt and Lambert, Sherwin Williams, to the elastomeric exterior Color Wheel and anywhere in between. They carry exterior, interior, stains, gels, wood, metal, industrial, and home paints. If there is something specific you want, like maybe a low VOC, they can make it for you. Did I mention that they have a mad scientist ...um mixologist who will mix up anything? Oh yeah, he is a genius. They have those giant color swatches available in the store. But it is advisable to bring your own color swatches with exactly what finish and the amount you need. From there the mixologist will help you find what you need. If he can't find your exact request he'll whip up a batch for you. Word of caution here.....since it maybe very hard to replicate this special mix, buy enough or a little extra. Word of caution have a paint strainer handy when you are ready to paint. Since some of this paint may sit outside for a while there could be some sediment formation. No worries, strain and paint. So where does all of this paint come from? There are several big name paint companies when they mistint big orders what will they do with the "damaged" paint? Sell it to this store at a significantly lower price. That saving is passed on to you. Three years ago the price for a gal of paint at Wonder products was $5. Today it is $8. So for $8 a gal you can get a $55 gal paint, if that is what you want. Since this is a mistint paint store the price for white paint is much higher. There might be special features that you wish for, they will take your order and ask you to came back later. In a day or two they have new paint coming in all the time. Your special order may be in there. Whatever you fancy they are willing to work with you to get there. You just got to have some patience. Great find, great store, friendly reliable solid staff.

They carry everything painting related that you could possibly need, so it's a great, one-stop paint shop. I went in to get some ideas as to what color to paint my newly renovated kitchen. The main line they carry is Benjamin Moore. It's a quality paint, and the displays they had offered plenty of paint chip samples for me to choose from. While there I also picked up a beautiful metallic paint for an arts and crafts project. At the register I asked where cheap paint brushes would be - and they man showed me they had three differently-sized $5 brushes right at checkout. So smart and so convenient. I've narrowed down my color choices, so I called ahead to get two sample colors made. Each color cost $6.99, and was ready by the time I arrived to pick it up. They also provided recommendations for painters when I asked, which is so useful. Why deal with the hassle of a big box store, when you can shop here with no fuss? They have been in business since 1933, and I hope they make it another 87 years!

The most experienced and educated and nicest staff. When my gingerbread porch would mold every year in south Florida humidity they recommended a simple mold preventative liquid to add to the paint. Paint lasted for years without this problem. I had an antique iron bed. Home Depot recommended their products for metal primer and paint. After a year paint would Scrap off with a fingernail. The paint store employees recommended a metal primer and paint. Super hard finish that is permanent. Just two examples. Besides, Benjamin Moore has the best paint colors and the paint we used in our home 30 years ago looks as beautiful today as it did then.

Needed to do touch-up work, and did not remember the name of my paint. Went to Benjamin Moore on 12th St in Sarasota and ask if they had records of my past purchases. Yes they do. I ask for sample size in the color/finish I had bought previously. Well, I could buy the color in sample size, but not finish, but you can purchase a quart in color/finish that you need for $27.99, so I spent 5X more than I wanted and bought a quart simply because "that's what the computer said" and I guess the computer had the final word since I didn't remember what I had purchased 4 1/2 years ago. Back to paint store, clerk agrees, yes, it is flat. He flips the computer screen around for my viewing pleasure to prove his point, "computer" says you purchased the matt paint finish. I remind him again that my walls are not matt - walls are satin finish. Right color, wrong finish. Frustrated at this point, I took my $27.99 quart of paint - right color, wrong finish and informed clerk that I would go to Home Depot and get what I needed, which is what I did. Fifteen minutes later I had a sample size of cloud white in satin finish for less than $5.00. Thank you very much Home Depot. Rotten service from Benjamin Moore, clerk couldn't get past what the computer said. Couldn't hear me repeatedly telling him.... hello....my walls are satin finish. Thanks BM, stuck with paint I won't use. BTW: Home Depot can match any color paint and offers 5 finishes ! Have a great day !

Getting decent advice at them is hit and miss at best. That's why I go here. On my latest visit I had some very old paint that I wanted to match. I'm talking fifteen or twenty years old. I brought in the actual old cans for two different gallons. I thought it was so old it would be junk. I was prepared to buy two new quarts if not gallons. These excellent folks studied it, remixed it, figured out and labeled the colors and said to me, "Steven B, don't waste your money! This paint is still good to go and thank you for stopping by again! They could have easily made a sale but instead they did the right thing and that's why I'll keep coming back!

I ran out of paint and was worried if it could be matched again and I forgot to bring my can to match it to but they had a file with my colors in it and knew what paint I needed.
