I am familiar with Ace service and products as a customer and previous employee. I have used Ace…read moreproducts and paint before and usually receive great service at Ace Hardware stores. So far I spent hundreds of dollars with much more to do. Unfortunately the service is poor at Dekalb Ace Hardware and not what you would expect from Ace Hardware. They do not use rewards like they should. Also, I asked to have a Minwax oil stain shaken and the sales woman said it would put bubbles in it, I said it would be fine as it settles and otherwise too difficult to mix by hand. She asked another woman possibly manager and she then refused to shake it. I was stunned at the lack of courtesy and said I would go somewhere else then. She then ran out to my car and said she would call the police! that's right! call the police! if I didn't purchase the paint in the shaker!! I regret that I went in and bought the gallon of paint. OMG I have never been treated so poorly at Ace! I will not shop here again unless I have an urge to be abused. I went to Walmart and bought the primer less expensive and the stain which they happily shook for me. Maybe they should learn service skills from Walmart.

I highly recommend if anyone is in need of any storage / garages to go check US BARN BUILDERS out and get to know them. You will always gain knowledge to make the best decisions. My second visit to the store I purchased a top on off the sale rack. The first time I wore the top the elastic cuff came loose on one sleeve after an hour of wear. I would have thought by the prices of the clothing it would have been of better quality. I have tops from JcPenny that have lasted longer than this for far less money even on sale. If you you plan on returning a defective item expect in store credit because that is what they offer. Most stores will try an satisfy the customer if they can not find a replacement by offering your money back but that was not the case here. So now I have a card for an in store credit that I couldn't use because I couldn't find anything I really wanted. Really not sure if I will go back to even use it. Now I have no new top and I'm out the money I spent on it. Could'nt find anything else that I would'nt have to spend 30.00 or more with the card. Just felt cheated. But they sure have a pretty store..
