And, unlike those big box stores, they have staff and help that are friendly and helpful! We purchased a hardware item for the same price as it is offered on Amazon, so the pricing is quite reasonable. Nice selection of furniture items as well. Northern Tool is a neat place to find the niche tool or part that you can't find at the bigger box…read morestores. It doesn't have the breadth of selection of Lowe's or home depot, but in has a much greater "depth" for what it does have. As an example, you won't find as many chainsaw options here as you would at Lowe's, but Northern Tool has the replacement filters, spark plugs, mufflers, etc for the equipment they do carry, which makes it an invaluable resource to the owners of things like Stihl chainsaws or blowers. It's pretty fun to just walk around and window shop. Workers are very nice and willing to answer any questions, and i think they totally understand the male desire to not ask for help ;)

My boyfriend recently purchased a TV from Aaron's Rent to Own, and the entire experience has been…read moreextremely frustrating. First, the TV was supposed to be shipped. After waiting, we were then told they don't offer shipping for that specific TV, so we had to drive to the store to pick it up instead. When we arrived, the manager (I'm assuming she was the manager) told us that the TV we originally purchased had been given to someone else, but they had "another one" to give us. She then mentioned that the remote and the TV stand legs were not in the box, which immediately raised red flags. Because of that, I specifically asked if the TV they were giving us had been used. She clearly stated it was brand new out of the box. That was not true. The box was badly beaten up and clearly not new. Once we got the TV home and set it up, there were multiple streaming accounts already logged in (Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube), proving it had been used before. On top of that, there are visible dots across the bottom of the screen, indicating a display issue. If I hadn't directly asked whether the TV was used -- and if I hadn't been explicitly told it was brand new -- I wouldn't be nearly as upset. The biggest issue here is being misled. This is not acceptable when you're paying for what is supposed to be a new product. Very disappointed and would not recommend unless honesty and transparency improve.

I also found that the furniture could be purchased and paid for in full and that ended up being much less expensive. In some cases 50 percent less expensive. If paying the full price up front is not an option, I noticed the price of a living room set, sectional was about $139.00 per month and most items seemed to be available to rent for around that price, it appeared 24 months was the average length of most rental agreements advertised. No one greeted, spoke to me or offered assistance but then again I didn't need any since I was only browsing. I wouldn't return because there are plenty of other furniture options available and I'm not interested in renting to own anything at this time.
