I entered behind a man who went to the service counter. But just beyond the entrance turnstyle was an employee. I approached and asked where I would find the item. The friendly Christine told me the aisle number and what items it would be across from. Surprise! Then she said "I can show you where" oh that would be great and helpful. I asked her to wait a moment... so I could grab a motorcart since w my arthritic knees I'd need that to get to the back of the store. I hopped on to a cart, pressing all the buttons... I couldn't move... what? Lisa from the service desk told me "you have to unplug it" ahhhh I had looked behind it but missed the seeing the cord... I was on my way for Christine to take me to my item! Christine & I made enjoyable chatter about the state fair & weather as we walked! She located my item... the last one left! We were off. I returned the cart then asked Lisa who didn't have a customer @ the moment "can I buy this here or should I go over to the check outs?" She politely agreed to ring me off for my purchase. Thank you Christine & Lisa for the friendly and most helpful service and enjoyable conversations about the fair & an east side pub! Employees here are always so specifically helpful; much appreciated!

I like that we were able to schedule a virtual consultation during COVID. I sent Hirshfield's photos and measurements before the consultation. The customer service rep, Beth was pleasant and informative on the call. She told me she'd draft up a quote based on our living room's details/measurements. However, when I received the quote, there was a miscalculation on how many windows we had. Also, the price was quite outrageous! I emailed her back asking her to revise the quote and make some other adjustments to lower the price, but I received NO response. I thought that was kind of rude. Overall, I won't be going with Hirshfield's because it felt like they aren't considerate of their customer's needs or budget.

First time visit, great experience - 4 stars!…read more I needed professional advice and paint for some unfinished plywood floors. I could have driven a few hundred feet away to Home Depot or Menards. But I went to Sherwin Williams to speak with some pros. Sherwin Williams didn't disappoint! To say these folks know all about paint is an understatement. I got WAY more useful info than I would have received at a big box store. Both dudes were friendly and patient. They spent a lot of time answering my amateur questions. BTW, they had my paint colored and mixed in 3 minutes flat! No waiting in line or hunting for an associate...like I've suffered through many, many times at the Home Depot next door. I ended up buying some high end deck paint. I also doubled checked price comps at Home Depot. From what I can tell as a layman, Sherwin Williams is definitely priced very, very similar to the big box guys. Plus, I saved an additional 10% by establishing an account. Thanks, Sherwin Williams! - Maxx
