Later, the cashier told me the total was 19.99 when it wasn't (tax). He then was ANGRY with me for pointing that out, as he handed the pile of cash back to me, not counting it at all. I was expecting 30.01 or 30.00, and so it was like, what?...and I was in the wrong somehow. Helpful place if you ask the women for help, which goes along with the history of the place (BBC article about coffee and body fluids). There are other "helpful" places I can find cashers that are never wrong...

I could have driven a few hundred feet away to Home Depot or Menards. But I went to Sherwin Williams to speak with some pros. Sherwin Williams didn't disappoint! To say these folks know all about paint is an understatement. I got WAY more useful info than I would have received at a big box store. Both dudes were friendly and patient. They spent a lot of time answering my amateur questions. BTW, they had my paint colored and mixed in 3 minutes flat! No waiting in line or hunting for an associate...like I've suffered through many, many times at the Home Depot next door. I ended up buying some high end deck paint. I also doubled checked price comps at Home Depot. From what I can tell as a layman, Sherwin Williams is definitely priced very, very similar to the big box guys. Having to mail in receipts, wait for the rebate used as bait to bring me back in isn't respective of the customer. If Menards would like to see me in their stores more often sharing my hard-earned cash, they need to honor any sale discounts/savings at the register at the time I'm checking out.
