The staff was great, everyone was nice and tried to be helpful, and I love their historic color…read moreoptions which is why I went there (even though Home Depot's Behr is more affordable and great to work with). BUT I went in to Sherwin Williams for oil based paint in a specific color and they pushed the Emerald Urethane paint for my project talking about it's "superior qualities" and how it's the best product on the market. So they created the color for me and I go to check out - NINETY some dollars per gallon and the stuff covered terribly! If I had known the price, I would never have even attempted it, but to make matters worse, I found the product terrible to work with. Using their recommended paintbrush, it took a minimum of 4 coats (which considering all the trim work I was doing, made the project very slow going.) It also drips terribly and makes the molded corners look muddy. The only way for me to avoid that was to almost dry brush those areas which then required even more than 4 coats. Even now after several touch ups, it has not coated the cabinet evenly or smoothly. Then, because of all the coating and re-coating, I had to buy more of the stuff (rather than switch to the oil based I had wanted the whole time because I was over midway through the project.). Heartbroken at the wasted time and sooo much expense for a product that was not nearly as effective as a gallon half the price. So sad. : (

Habitat for Humanity ReStore - This is heavy solid metal. It would be awesome on a fence or house. I couldn't pass it up for 20$.

Having purchased a house last year, I have needed to buy so many things including furniture, rugs,…read morelamps, tools, and random other stuff. This place has so many things for such affordable prices. Some of the items are brand new and even with the tag still on and some are more antique used items. The stock of what is available there is so random and can very depending on what they receive but they generally offer a selection of couches, tables, chairs, rugs, bookshelf's, and appliances. However, the best deal there are the lightbulbs. 4 bulbs for 99 ¢. Unbeatable.

There's a good variety of used and new items, along with various categories of goods.... big and small. Pricing varies as well, but you can bet your paying less than retail price. Some of the basics: sofas, artwork, rugs, paint, bedframes, lightbulbs, patio furniture, Some of the interesting: church pew, chandeliers, fancy stoves, building material (flooring, fixtures, cabinets) Some of the little things: command strips, paper towel holder, bath mat, frames There's so much, and you never know what you'll find during your visit so check it out. I will say, staff didn't seem warm and friendly (ie a smile, or offer to help), but at the same no one was directly rude. I gather if you ask for help, they'd assist. I noticed by the bed frames, a sign that said they have tools to disassemble, but you had to do it yourself, which is still helpful since some places wouldn't even offer that.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore - This mirror caught my eye...sorry about things around it, just had ceiling painted. It's newer and in perfect shape.

Every…read moretime I pop in, I find something new--whether it's cookbooks, cards, puzzles, kitchen gadgets, jewelry, clothing....you name it. The selection here feels endless in the best way. Allow yourself some time because the store is pretty big. I especially love coming here when I need a gift or something Minnesota-based as they always have unique, MN-feeling items that hit the mark. It's the kind of boutique where you can happily wander and browse for A WHILE. I haven't had much interaction with staff beyond checkout, and I've noticed they don't typically come out onto the floor--at least not during my last couple of Thursday visits during Marketfest. That said, checkout has always been smooth. Highly recommend if you're in the area and love a good browse through a thoughtfully selected mix of finds! Also, highly suggest joining the rewards program and checking out the clearance section while you're here... there could be some great deals tucked away!

There are 3 parts to this store and you owe it to yourself to experience them all! I started in the style area, which is the clothing part of the store. This is an upscale women's apparel store, with habitat, Liverpool, Johnny Was, and many other upscale brands. All of it is beautifully curated and displayed. You will have fun browsing the racks. The sales associates were super helpful and knew exactly how to interact with people--making customers feel welcome, but not pressured to buy. Downstairs, there is an amazing sales area. Don't miss this gem! Bargains galore and beautiful things! I'm sure it changes regularly. Then stop at the cafe and have a coffee, pastry, or freshly baked cookie. All the treats look and smell delicious. The staff was very sweet and service was prompt. After that, continue shopping at the Good Things gift shop. This is a top notch gift shop the likes of which I rarely see. It is brimming with themed displays for almost every interest or occasion. If you can't find a gift here, you may never find it! Seriously. You can wander in this shop for an entire morning and still not see everything. I hope you stop by Good Things. It's a fabulous shop. Locally owned. Go there for your next gift.
